I wasn't sure what to expect other than 'nice'. My family, 11 of us, decided to spend Christmas in…read morethe mountains this year and this was the place we chose. (Unit 605) First off, it's HUGE! We could have probably slept twice as many as we have. It's 3 levels with room, after room after room. All of them are decent size but the 2 master BR suites (1 up, 1 down) are the largest. They are all decently appointed. There are at least 4 TVs although we had problems getting them to work. After reporting an issue someone came out and got the Sitting Room/Kitchen one going and said that was the only one the HOA was responsible for. The rest were to be handled by the owner but over Christmas that was unlikely and was not corrected. Other issues bathroom toilet running and bathroom door that would not lock. Issues but overall a great place.

And at the milk house they overcharged and when I pointed it out they made some strange excuse. And the quiche was $11! For that small slice This is a hidden gem but you can't expect too much. Initially, I thought this was a high-end resort, but without the high-end resort prices. And it's definitely not that you should think of it more as sort of a fancy cottage that has almost a family run feel. If you think of it this way then you won't expect too much and then it makes a lot more sense. Everyone here seems like they're trying very hard . And I understand what was going on when we got there because there's a lot of construction going on. We also ate here for dinner in one of the globes and they're trying to serve multiple groups and people so service was kind of just ok. I have one gripe, though, it was $24 for two glasses of wine and each one was about the amount of a 1/2 glass. I think our server was pretty green though. It is a beautiful place. Absolutely beautiful and not crowded. The pool is incredible. The parking lot not so much. If you factor in the price though for what it is, I think you will realize this is a totally fine deal.

But don't worry about that, if you've never been, the size of the place is incredible!! And the food, I just can't say enough about it!! They serve up just about anything and everything you can only dream about!! How about Prime Rib, melts in your mouth, shrimp cocktail, how about breakfast items, anything that you can only dream up for breakfast, they have got it, when you're at the salads bar area several too choose from, and last item I will mention just has to talked about, the dessert bar area, it's huge!!! I mean if you love dessert, no matter how much you have had to eat, at all the buffet tables they have, you absolutely can't not get past that dessert table!! Now the place I've been raving about is second best to no one!! And it's not like any buffet I've ever been to, oh wait, I have been to a lodge in a place called Park City that's very similar but I think it's just not as nice as Snowbasin Resort, located at 3925 East Snowbasin Resort Rd, there are two different ways of getting there, one is up Ogden Canyon, the other is head up Interstate 84. You will see directions to the place along the way, you'll definitely not miss it! Last but not the least I feel like I should mention the cost of all the splendour, it's not for the faint of heart, per person, how's about $85.00!! It's just probably the absolute best $85.00 a person will spend in their lifetime of hunting a buffet of this magnitude!! Well I guess I've said too much about this place but it's really out of this world and it's located right here in Northern Utah!! Now in closing, how about some photos??

The winding road up led you along a winding creek/river depending on your view point. All the housing along this water way was built in such a way to take advantage of the water. One place it was running under the house. Not sure about tht but I guess they have a handle on it. I imagine it could be a tough drive in the winter with ice and snow.this place must really get active during the ski season as their park areas are huge. In the off season they have hiking and biking available, mini golf, outdoor music and arts events as well as mountain top dining and a kids zone Thts open year around

$265 for one night in a dark musty basement…read more I can't speak for the other flats on the other floors, but I honestly don't know how they get away with charging close to $300 a night and calling a dark basement with no windows luxury. The photos online are incredibly deceptive. They make it look like a modern studio flat with plenty of natural light. The truth is that it is in the basement of an early 1900s building with 2 sliver slats of glass. It's dark, it's musty smelling. Also not mentioned on their website is that it is literally spitting distance from a giant mortuary. Now for some, that might be a selling point, but not for us. There were giant cobwebs in the tiny window slats and yes, we did see a giant spider that eluded us and made our "sleep" not restful. Speaking of the bed, not comfortable. Again, this place is advertised as LUXURY. Their words. Not mine. It's fine to call something rustic or industrial, but this room in particular is being sold as something it isn't. The bedding was hot, the bed was a rock, but it does vibrate on command if you are into that. If this place were closer to $100 a night then I could maybe see this being just a weird night and a funny story. But there are other hotels in the area that charge $100 less and offer a free breakfast and you don't have to clean up after yourself. This is not a boutique hotel, it's an Air b&b. Little things: Website says bathrooms are stocked with Aveda products, they were not. Websites says to enjoy complimentary snacks (bottles of arrowhead water and 4 bags of chips) You have to do your own dishes The water pressure is TERRIBLE There wasn't much hot water at night Despite being in the basement it was weirdly hot Whatever they are using to clean was irritating our eyes the entire time. Again, it's one thing to call a spade a spade and charge accordingly. This company is not being honest about these accommodations and they are charging luxury prices. This is a small town in the off season. We booked this room specifically because we wanted to have a nice luxury hotel stay. We aren't rich and this was a stretch for us to afford but again, it was supposed to be a luxury experience. So disappointed. We didn't sleep and we are out almost $300
