Some of the grading doesn't seem very consistent. Staff is nice. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. It's definitely fun to experience it at least once! The day pass is currently $30 per person with all gear rentals included. No price reduction if you bring your own gear. The membership cost is hefty, $100 per month or $80 if prepay... that's close to 1K per person at a minimum. One membership bonus is that all classes are free. If I resume climbing on a regular basis, I might consider shelling out some $$.

The staff were very friendly and detailed on how to get prepared for climbing the wall with the harnesses and also the ins and outs of each level of difficulty. My son loved climbing, as this is definitely his wheelhouse, but not necessarily mine lol. There were numerous walls to climb with the ropes/harnesses utilized and other boulder walls with a harness or rope not used but with a padded flooring under the ways. There is a wall for each level of climber from beginner to seasoned. If you want to try something new or get more practice on your skills, LEF is perfect for you! We will come back soon!

So far I'm really not liking it…read more Bouldering: In terms of bouldering, the routes are difficult, which is fine, but the wall is also sand paper so you'll get scrapes if you're pushing yourself. Additionally the routes are ridiculously condensed which both makes it easy to bang your hand or knee going for power moves and makes it confusing to tell which rocks are in each route. Top Rope: I've only used auto-belay because I just moved here and don't have any climbing partners. Given how difficult the bouldering routes are, it's crazy how easy the top rope routes are graded. Most people seem to come to this place in groups and I assume that the regular top-route and lead routes are graded more difficult. If so I'll update my rating later. Overall, my biggest problem is the vibe. I came from a very friendly and supportive bouldering gym in Cleveland (shoutout Nosotros) and this place does not compare. It's expensive and super corporatized. Hopefully, I meet some nicer people soon, but at the moment there is just something off about this place that I don't think reflects the climbing community as a whole.

The employees are great at showing you around the gym and explaining anything you might need to know. The variety of levels of problems they have are great and my cousins and I spent a solid 2 hours exploring the different routes we could take! Once inside, you will be able to rent/buy any equipment that will get you (safely) up the walls. It had been a long time since I climbed so I did take the quick belay course $6 and was climbing up the wall in no time. If you just want to climb on the shorter walls (called bouldering) you will not need to have a harness or take the class. You will need to buy a day pass $10 or some other membership. Shoe rental is $4 and I skipped that as I did it in a pair of vibram five fingers shoes. The only other cost for rope climbing is for a harness ($4). So, for either $20 or 24 you can find yourself climbing up one of the various walls, each with its own unique challenge. Some of the walls are really difficult and some are just difficult enough that you will feel really proud of yourself if you can reach the top. And pay no attention to those around you that scale the walls like spiders, they were just like you once. The vibe is really chill and people are friendly and able to offer advice if you need it. I recommend taking breaks every once in a while so that your arms can rest and watch other climbers. My best tip is to use your legs, they are much stronger than your arms and will really get you up the wall. Climbing is very challenging and I really find it both frustrating and rewarding. You will have fun (go with some friends: they do have group rates) and get a workout too!

They're very knowledgeable about what they do and are more than willing to impart their wisdom onto you! The facilities are well kept and offer nice hygiene items in the bathrooms such as hair ties and nail files. I'm thankful they got a new water fountain because they've had several issues with it the past month. Only issue with facilities that is ongoing is that in the men's bathroom, there is an odor around the sink that smells like a bad P-pipe. As for the actual climbing, I have to say that it is perfect. I'm not much of a boulder guy anymore but those are very well set. In regards to the top ropes, they are well done and challenging whilst maintaining their entertainment value. I've only been to three places for rock climbing, but I think RQ beats the others to a pulp! Phenomenal work RQ staff!

My brother and I climbed with Brian (one of the co-owners) and had a blast. We didn't have all our gear but KRAG provides everything you'll need for free (shoes, harness, helmet, etc). It rained so much the day we arrived and I was worried we wouldn't be able to climb. But Brian is so knowledgable and knew where all the best spots were that stayed dry. We got to climb so many classic routes, learned new techniques, and had so much fun. Also, one thing to not overlook is KRAG's emphasis on safety. Brian and his team have loads of experience and every certification out there, and it clearly shows. It gets even better. After a day of climbing, we were so hungry and headed back to the Skybridge Station. Turns out, you can enjoy from their amazing selection of local craft beers on tap! To add, they even serve the best hot dogs and quesadillas in town (and some of the best I've ever eaten)!
