The best thing about the gym is the 24hr access because you can train whenever you want and you don't have to be there when there's a lot of people. Frankly I prefer this because this gym is more for climbers in the area and less for people who have never climbed or take their dates to the climbing gym, who have never climbed. The clientele there are pretty snobbish and have caused me to interrupt my membership once or twice because I can't climb with rude, arrogant people who can't spot you or refuse to talk to you strictly because, "they don't know you." I've been in cleaner gyms with way more routes and way more clearly defined routes, and routes that make sense, which I understand, anything past V2 takes a bit of puzzle solving but I've climbed V4's at other gyms I could swear are V2's at BB. A lot of holds are missing tape. The staff there are excellent, but they are only there for non-members, 5PM - 9PM. In other words, after you sign up you're on your own. But you can put your own music on the stereo if no one's there, or the people there are cool with it. Overall it's a gym in Lexington and needs to be supported by everyone, and not just the snobbish climbers who stifle the atmosphere for everyone. If you've never been, go! It's fun! If you climb on the reg you'll see what I mean immediately, especially Colorado and Utah climbers. read more
