The paleo green bowl is delicious. My fiancé gets the paleo acai. Also tasty. I like that the acai is unsweetened. They also sell KNOW products, which is worth a try if you are doing keto or a low carb diet. read more

Had the worst customer experience this morning; they filled my smoothie cup only 3/4 of the way and my avocado toast was burnt black. On top of that the women working had the most unprofessional attitudes and were super slow (it wasn't busy). read more

I love this place. I go here every day and mix it up with Mission Mocha and the Blue Moon with an almond butter boost. The avocado toast is amazing. Only wish there was more savory food! UPDATE: After writing my initial review, Project Juice reached out to me explaining that they had reviewed protocol with their staff, wanted to refund me for the disappointing smoothie, and offer me credit for a free smoothie the next time I stopped by. Customer care like that goes a long way with me (and I think most customers) and I was really appreciative for the communication. I came back in today to give it another shot and enjoyed a delicious epic greens smoothie made just the way I like it! I'll continue to come in and support this location. Unfortunately, I don't think this place will make it. My husband and I make a good living, own a nice house in Berkeley, and I think are squarely in the demographic this place is trying to reach. However, I went into Project Juice today excited to try their juices and left without buying a thing. This was for 2 reasons: 1. They only had two of their juices to taste and I had to ask (unlike Pressed Juicery where you can always taste to see which one you might like before spending) and 2. Their juices cost between $9 and $10!! Ouch. I was expecting somewhere between $6.50 to $8.00 and so couldn't bring myself to splurge, even this once. I noticed that their fridge was chocked full of juices without a dent in it (in the afternoon). Good luck to them. I just don't see how they can charge this much and appeal to the Berkeley crowd, or any crowd for that matter. I was excited to have a good, hip juice place in Berkeley and so am disappointed. I do think a place like this is needed, just one with more reasonable prices. read more

I'm updating this because the team here contacted me very shortly after I wrote my first review to assure me that it's not typical policy to allow dogs to chill on top of their dining surfaces. (There were several the day I dropped in, and I didn't see a sign about it, so I really wasn't sure!) I have friends who are severely allergic to pets altogether, so seeing that sort of thing in an unexpected place is upsetting. I don't have any dietary restrictions. I don't go out of my way to eat healthy food other than avoiding processed foods. I usually don't like gluten free foods. But the waffle this place makes is fantastic! I got one as an addition to the acai bowl which was supremely satisfying on its own, and it totally exceeded expectations. It's not just good enough, or pretty good, but it's way better than many regular waffles. I'd love it if there was a more convenient location for me, but no delivery fee on Caviar is pretty nice. I'm loving acai bowls right now and just the fruit smoothie craze that's actual fruit and not sugar and ice like jamba juice. The acai bowl here was DECADENT. And totally worth the price. Great fresh blend that's not too sweet nor tangy, just the right amount of deliciousness with copious amounts of strawberries and granola and honey. My zaddy got recommended the blue algae smoothie... HARD PASS. While it had a very instaworthy color, there was no taste... literally felt like drinking an almond milk smoothie. this is a great place for pickey eaters to get their greens that they do not get from the food they eat. super happy this place is here. i got the epic greens drink with the little probiotics add on thingy and it was super tasty, now i cannot stop thinking about this drink. i wish i could just eat it all the time, i will be back fosure, just amazes me how you can take vegetables and make them into a juice and actually make them taste good. read more
