Earth House has been a discovery of ours many years back, and it's still living the name. A lot of music albums you'll find are unbelievable, names that ring a bell and some, not. They even sell clothing as well with a decent variety. Also, they have a number of toys and books. There's something here for everyone. Be careful of the stairs, as it's narrow and items hung on the wall. The store is kept up, organized, and cleaned, which is why it's still open today. read more

Best store on the Cape, 100%. I go here and it's weird that it's called a "Jewlery Store" when it's so much more than that. It's got the best CD and Vinyl selection I've ever seen, with the CD's being at a really good price. The clothing is unique and you genuinely won't find it anywhere else. The sticker selection is amazing too. There's a lot of "hippy" stuff here too, and it's fire. Come here AT LEAST once. It will not disappoint. read more

The Earth House is the ONLY place I will buy rings from. I've had rings from here for 6 years that are still in perfect condition. They do not tarnish or turn your fingers green. I love them! They also sell a wonderful variety of adorable trinkets and knickknacks. They have bumper stickers, pins, incense, necklaces, gems, beads, stones, cards, notebooks, candles, toys, shirts, bags, and so much more! They have great prices and an amazingly friendly staff. Earth House is the closest thing to Northern Sun I've seen as a storefront. I love all their activist t-shirts, bumper stickers, buttons, etc. They also have great hippie/Tibetan accessories and clothing options. Accessories galore. And lots of house decor items, as well. The vintage selection on the bottom level is surprisingly high quality and interesting to sift through. I didn't check out the two remaining music and poster rooms/stores, but I bet they're also awesome. read more

Really cool store and spent a decent amount of money but the cashier who is an older woman (grayish hair) was SO RUDE. Every time my friend and I would go into a different section of the store, she would follow us and huff and puff and that it was inconvenient for us to be there? I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was overwhelmed with the amount of people in the store, but I will not be going back and will be telling everyone else about this experience. My dad had just passed away, and I went there to try and lift my spirits a little, however they were quickly ruined and I returned to my car crying. If you want good vibes and good customer service, I do not suggest going to this store. read more

I was drawn there by my daughter who loves all things mystical and has heard good things about this store. We both were overwhelmed with the wealth of items they offered. Anything anyone would ask for was there! It took us two trips just to take all of it in. The customer service was awesome. Very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The record store area was filled with items I haven't seen in more than 30+ years. Their basement antique shop held countless items from the past presented in a nostalgic setting. The Earth House. Well, it's definitely one of Cape Cod's most random shops. That much is certain. The Earth House was a pretty popular place for my family to visit whenever we would go to the Cape for vacations or weekends. When my sister was going through a Beatles phase we were always there looking for posters, records, shirts, anything Beatles related. When I went through my geology phase, the Earth House was my top choice to find all those gems and rocks that you could find just anywhere. I got everything from Fools Gold to Amethyst rocks for my collection from there. Then I went through a ring phase, and the Earth House certainly delivered on the rings. I found some really beautiful pieces of jewelry hidden away in this store, and nothing that made my fingers turn green or anything. In fact, on occasion I still wear a ring that must be at least 10 years old now. The Earth House does supply you with instant karma upon entrance. Extra star for that. The store is pretty focused on hippie gear, and everything you could possibly need to fulfill the role of being one. There is an overwhelming smell of incense at all times, and the store is pretty crowded with a lot of crap. It's also one of those stores where I feel like I'm being judged if I don't buy anything, and I don't appreciate that. But I'm beginning to believe the Earth House will never, ever go out of business, regardless of how tough these times get. read more

One of my "must visit" stops whenever I'm on the Cape, the Earth House has all the hippie clothes, political stickers/pins, wind chimes, stones, and gorgeous jewelry that you could ever want. Cape Cod is, in my mind, the Florida of New England. It's almost entirely a disaster of seasonal tourism and preppy galore. And as someone who spends most of the year in beach towns, I'm sick of them! However, I have found one haven from the viscous Saturday beach traffic and a sea of Lily Pulitzer. It's a place jam packed with tiny treasures, oozing with the earthy scent of incense, and tucked away in a shady ditch off of 6A in Orleans. That place is The Earth House. How many used Doors records have I gleefully toted around while digging around a glass cup for the perfect piece of dalmatian jasper or a wooden crate for the wildest vintage $8 poster? Many. The place is essentially comprised of 3 separate shops with the same atmosphere - a record store on one half, a hippie store on the other (incense, candles, beads, tie dye t shirts, bumper stickers, etc), and a thrift store in the basement full of weird and wonderful goodies. This is by far my favorite store in the area. They have 4 sections and each one of them are awesome. The poster store has some of the most unique selections I have seen. Same goes for the record/cd store. They have a great selection of good new albums and used cds also. The hippy store section has great crystals, jewelry, hemp bags, accessories, incense, bumper stickers. Then the thrift store downstairs... great antique selection. It is a bit pricey, nothing too cheap. But totally worth it. Every time I go in here I find a new treasure I havnt seen before. Great vibes just being in there. read more

What a great store! From hippy clothes and crystals, to antiques and records, this store has an unusual and interesting selection. One of my favorite places to buy gifts. Can always find something for anyone. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A little pricey but worth it. Nothing is made cheaply and you get what you pay for. This year I did half my shopping here for the holidays. From moroccas for the kids and jewelry box for the tweens and antique wall dec for the in-laws. Fantastic little shop. A must see for any visit to the Cape. Smack in the center of Orleans, this little store has everything! And the owners are wonderful, adding to the very earthy crunchy feel of the place. The record store can not be overlooked, and is hands down my favorite place on cape. Don't be fooled by its size, the owners have packed a lot of love into this tiny store. And when you do go in, ask for Dylan, the guy at the record shop. Counter-Cultural treasures,*** Great Musical Finds***, posters, Hendrix, Doors, Jefferson Airplane , Procol Harum, Moody Blues, Phil Ochs,Beatles and Frank Zappa are all found here for you. It is THE PLACE to get your Activist Bumper Stickers, radical pins and post cards, tee shirts, tye dies and refridge magnets...ya- and that new agey stuff too along with some hip clothing.They also have a room full of collectibles and used stereo equipment downstairs...and to top it off, the owners are friendly folk with "good heads" . I've been coming to the Cape for years every summer and always made a point to stop at Earth House to check out the records and other stuff. I was there with my son today and while I was looking at some CDs he came over to show me a record he was interested in. A woman no sooner came swooping in on us saying, "Excuuuuse me, we like to keep the vinyl in the shop!" and grabbed the record out of his hands and went back into the room where the records are. We looked at each other dumbfounded. This was possibly the most obnoxious thing I've ever experienced in a retail store. She could have politely informed us of this, and we would have obliged and walked the five feet back into the vinyl room no problem. Needles to say we walked right out and will never spend another penny in that place. read more
