I used my Firestone account with my saved vehicle, to select tires and received a full "out-the-door" quote, including installation, taxes, and ALL fees, installed at my local shop. I reserved the tires, price and appointment, as directly offered. After booking, the store called and advised the price would be approximately $200 higher (roughly 20%) than the quoted out-the-door total; otherwise I would receive no warranty, etc.; despite the tires advertised with a 70K manufacturer limited warranty, and a 90-day limited satisfaction guarantee. I mentioned that I had reserved the tires at the locked price online, and was told that the prices online did not reflect the actual price at the location. I canceled the appointment, and the order. I contacted customer service, first via the online chat, which they push you to, to clarify if I had perhaps missed something; but the chat was not helpful, or intuitive. I then called the corporate 1-800 number to ask about the quoted out-the-door pricing online, versus a location not honoring the price. Long story short, while they were very polite (at every step) I was informed that I could not count on any location to honor the advertised Firestone pricing, and I'd be advised to contact local stores only from this point forward. It would be easy to try and point the finger at a single party, but I don't think that's fair. I think this demonstrated a serious systemic problem from the local level all the way to the corporate office(s).

I kept my paperwork). secondly, I was charged $100 more than I should've been because I knew they covered the pads and calipers for life. when I told the woman at the register, she called the technician and he apologized and took off the $100 from my bill. my point is this: the tech shouldve known about my previous brake jobs and my loyalty to Mac's. but most importantl, if I had not spoken up, Mac's would've ripped me off for $100 and if I had done all 4 sets of brakes it would've been closer to $250!! and I know this, because the woman at the counter was about to ring up my bill and didn't check my past brake jobs, either... I'm not too happy with Mac's. they are usually quite reliable...

I guess whoever was working on it decided to just skip the alignment thinking it "didn't need it," and still charge a woman, who didn't know any better, for it anyway. $250 later, I got it home and husband drove it and said sure enough it was driving exactly the same as before. I should've known when the guy wouldn't look me in the eyes and talked about how he himself didn't think it really needed it. I was driving though MS for military training, trying to join my unit when I got a crack in the sidewall of one of my tires. After barley making it to Tupelo and having bad luck at several other tire shops not being able to help me, I eventually made it to Goodyear. The store Manager, Derrick Turner could not have been more helpful. They didn't have the tires in the shop for my Challenger (it is a very rare tire rating), so he called literally every single tire shop in town until he found one that did. Also knowing the chances of finding someone with those tires on hand was going to be slim he made arrangements to have some special ordered and rushed to the shop by lunch. Knowing that I was in a rush trying to get to my Unit, he even asked how quick the other business could get my car serviced knowing it would lose him my business. Since it was not in nearly as quick of a time as Goodyear could, he had one of his guys drive me to the other shop to buy the tires and bring them back to Goodyear for install. From the time I walked through the door to the time I drove away on my new tires was 2hours, including all the phone calls and us going to pick up the new tires. Every single employee at the store made me feel like my problem was their own and from a guy that stresses a lot they took a lot off my head. I've never been to a Goodyear Tire until that day, but Goodyear as a company has earned my tire business forever, and since I drive thru Tupelo regularly I will make sure that when its time to rotate and balance these tires, I'll be making a stop just for that.

After I left and had made another stop we were leaving and my tire came off damaging my wheel, they had checked off on filters that should have been changed but were not. They had to keep my vehicle for two days fixing the damage that was done, but will not credit back the $140 for the terrible service (which the manager Seth had assured me would be taken care of).
