Awesome mead and atmosphere. Just a little thrown off with the size of the place and lack of product. Would go back again.

I enjoyed this place, I've been here a few times and they've got a nice selection of different wines and mead to try. They also have the warthog brewery with hard cider! Nothing here blew me away but their regular or original mead was pretty good. The tasting counter itself and the store was very nice and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Tastings were cheap and the cost went towards a bottle of anything that you bought which was nice! A good stop and visit for those looking to try Mead for the first time or Mead lovers looking to find another to add to their collection.

I love mead and when I read about a Meadery up in the Finger Lakes, I knew I had to go. it's about a 20 minute drive from Watkins Glen and located on the west side of Seneca Lake. There's also an adjoining Cider House so you can experience 2 at one location. It's was the busiest place I went to over the weekend, as there was a line for the tasting. There's an upstairs tasting area but it was not opened, as it might have helped with the line situation. They participated in deck the halls weekend so a lot of customers were coming in for a sample of food and their tasting. Instead of coming in for one tasting to share, we ended up sharing 3 tastings between two of us. Each tasting was only $3 and included 3 tastes. The Meads were all so good and the more residual sugar in them the better. My favorite was strawberry shadows because it truly tasted like drinking sweet strawberry tea. The apple enchantment tasted just like Mott's apple juice, cant even taste the alcohol. The black jewel is another favorite of mine and you could taste the black berries. Inside the tasting room/shop there is an actual bee hive! I loved this place so much I ended up leaving with two bottles.

This was my first experience with mead. It was good! Little sweet for me but that's not their fault. The original cider was really good, after the tasting it was only $10! The girl who served me was very attentive and knowledgeable. Great service.

A group of friends and myself were doing wine tasting up and down the lake. We wanted a change of taste so we stopped at the meadry and cidery. My girl-friend had never tried a mead before and now she is in love. The girl doing our tasting was amazing. She gave us a ton of free samples of things we were interested in. As a thank you for it we bought two bottles. Gorgeous tasting room too.

This is my favorite place for hard cider. Their honey wines are great but a bit pricey.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and fun. The cidery and winery are on the same property and only a 1 to 2 minute walk apart from each other. The traditional honey mead had a beautiful, light honey flavor with a little alcoholic kick. I might not drink this straight, but I could think of many ways to blend that beautiful honey flavor into drinks. Then we tried the mead blended into fruit wine. I liked the raspberry blend but blueberry was my favorite. The very clear taste of the fruit was beautiful with the honey notes and you knew it wasn't just a juice drink..the alcohol was there as well. The ciders were a nice surprise taste wise. I'm not a big cider fan, but when I tasted the gold medal winning Strawberry and crisp apple cider it was a win for me. The single fruit choices of all these were selections were wonderful.... sometimes the blending of different fruits leaves to confused tastes for me. Our bartender was very nice and friendly and helpful. It also has a winery Torrey Ridge in the same facility.

We were fortunate to have Keith as our…read moreserver, and he may have been one of the most remarkable people I've met in quite some time. His deep knowledge and passion shone through as he shared the rich history of the winery. The owners originally purchased land in Bucks County for farming but later moved to the Finger Lakes region, where they expanded into winemaking, a bakery, and a deli--a true craft-driven endeavor. Tabora was offering a special deal: buy one tasting flight, get the second free. Normally, I gravitate toward the drier the better, but the Winemaker's Jam caught my eye. My flight included: 1. 2021 Pinot Noir 2. 2021 Cabernet Franc 3. N.V. Heritage Noir 4. 2021 Maréchal Foch I started with the Pinot Noir, a light-bodied wine with aromas of cherry blossoms, strawberries, and dried fruit--absolutely sensational. Keith explained that all of Tabora's wines age in used French oak barrels but never for more than 18 months. Instead of prolonged oak aging, they transition the wine to stainless steel, preserving freshness while imparting just a touch of oak influence. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had soft tannins, a light body, and notes of raspberry and green bell pepper, with a slight oak finish--and wow, it was good. Then came my hands-down favorite: the Heritage Noir, a blend of different wines that was dry yet bursting with layered fruit flavors. It was truly an incredible experience on the palate. Finally, I sampled the Maréchal Foch, a sensational, jammy wine with hints of blackberry and pomegranate and a beautifully smooth finish. But Keith wasn't done yet--he had me try a few more, including an unoaked Cabernet Franc, which became another favorite. Aged 100% in stainless steel, it was bright with red fruit, hints of cherry, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Beyond the wines, Keith himself was a standout. As we sipped, he shared his life journey--from New York to Hawaii, a path shaped by his mother and sister. His stories were captivating, and if he ever writes a book, I'd be the first in line to read it. Cheers to Keith and Tabora for an unforgettable experience! #fingerlakes
