Joe custom made a recliner for us 15+ years ago. It was exactly what my husband wanted for his office. It is still my husbands favorite chair to this day. I contacted him again, after all those years, to make a duplicate of the original chair (with a few minor changes). We made an appointment, he showed up, we discussed the re-make of the chair and the minor adjustments we wanted, he took measurements and there was no indication that he was not accepting or completing the job. He said, "no problem" and that he would bring me the upholstery books the very next day to pick out fabric and the chair should't take longer than three to six weeks. Several weeks went by and I hadn't heard from him regarding the upholstery books. I connected with him a couple of times and he kept telling me he would drop them off. He never did. When the six weeks was up, I called him again and again and again, left messages and he would not return my phone calls. Complete disregard and disrespect for me and the job. My husband is quite handicapped. Joe knew that this chair was being custom made for him with the height adjustments requested so my husband could easily sit in and stand up from the chair without to much strain. Joe knew how important this chair was as my husband had only one other chair that he was able to get in and out of in the entire house. If Joe had simply told us that he couldn't do the job for whatever reason, I would have moved on quickly and wouldn't have waited 2 months to start over with someone else delaying even further the time my husband had to wait for a place he could sit. I would never recommend Eagle's Upholstery to anyone. read more
