"Courteous treatment will make a customer a walking advertisement." -- J.C. Penney…read more I had booked a stay at the hotel for a weekend stay to visit with family, but was called away for an emergency and forced not to travel. Despite being a LONG-TIME Hilton Honors member and speaking with the hotel's general manager directly, I wasn't shown any sort of consideration at all...with a claim from her that the hotel would be unable to sell the room (unlikely given a local NASCAR race has lodging across the city booked basically to capacity). As an individual who has worked in hotels myself, I am readily aware of what is 'said' to guests, and what is the truth. Not only do I have full confidence that the room for which I was intended to stay would be booked within hours of its release, but I was quite surprised at how little consideration was taken by the management at this hotel. At a time when households are subject to unexpected conflicts, plus needing added support, I found it quite disheartening that a Hilton-brand hotel would be this dismissive about my request for a suitable resolution. I could understand if it were an outskirt or remote area, but it's the CAPITAL of the state of Indiana. As such, I would seriously doubt that the hotel will 'miss' an opportunity to recoup any funding or revenue lost. In the end, it was simply about money for them. Not only frustrated, but genuinely disappointed. I expected better from a chain that prides itself on hospitality, service, and experience.

Located about 10-15 minutes from the convention center of downtown Indy this was a nice location. East drive and located in a nice area with plenty of shopping and places to eat. The hotel is a pretty standard Marriott which is a good thing. Service here was really good. The lobby was huge and clean and our two king suite with a pull out was spacious and very comfortable. We took advantage of the indoor pool. The pool wasn't the largest but did the trick and me and the kids had fun. They also had a really nice exercise room That we did not take advantage of. The complimentary breakfast in the mornings was good with a perfect mix of hot and cold foods depending on appetite. Overall we had an excellent stay here. The man behind the desk was very nice he was probably the only good thing about the hotel but he gave us our keys and they wouldn't work. So then I had to go back downstairs to try to get new ones and asked my friend who I was with to try and use the app to unlock the door. The WiFi made it IMPOSSIBLE to open any app or any website so she couldn't. Finally he just let us in and said he would bring keys later. He finally did and they worked so thanks to the guy behind the desk I forget your name. Anyways so we try to go to sleep and the walls and ceiling are PAPER THIN. The people next to us had their tv on and i could hear a really loud buzzing talk until about 1 am so that was really annoying. Then when we woke up we tried to turn on the heat and it smelled like barf and smoke. One other kinda gross thing that wasn't as big of a deal is that the carpet around the hotel is kinda mismatched so it looks like they ran out of free carpet samples and had to switch halfway through laying them. Anyway I highly do not recommend this place.

During our stay, we politely asked about the charges on our room, and the General Manager, Heidi Jacobson, responded with immediate hostility. Instead of addressing the question like any professional in hospitality should, she became aggressive, dismissive, and confrontational. To make matters worse, she then threatened to cancel our reservation if we continued to ask questions. This was shocking and completely out of line. We were calm and respectful, simply trying to understand our bill -- something any guest has a right to do. As a Black family, we left feeling that our race may have played a role in how we were treated. The interaction was not only uncomfortable, it felt intimidating and racially biased. That is absolutely unacceptable from anyone -- especially a Hilton-affiliated General Manager. No guest should ever be threatened or disrespected for asking basic questions, and certainly not made to feel unsafe or unwelcome because of who they are.

Polite, helpful, and genuinely caring. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the bed was excellent -- all the essentials for a good night's rest before a flight. The free breakfast was also great, with a solid variety of hot and cold options -- eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, and more. Everything was fresh and well presented, which is always appreciated when you're heading out early in the morning. However, my biggest issue, and it's a significant one, is the complete lack of an airport shuttle. For a hotel that markets itself as being near the airport, not offering a shuttle is simply inconvenient, unacceptable and disappointing. I had to order an Uber both to and from the airport, which was not only an added expense but also something I shouldn't have had to do given the hotel's location and purpose. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to "COVID reasons," which doesn't make much sense, especially when other nearby hotels do operate their shuttles again. Another thing worth mentioning: the surrounding area feels a bit like a ghost town. Several restaurants and buildings nearby appear abandoned or vacant, which gives the area a somewhat deserted feel at night. It's not unsafe, but definitely quiet -- so keep that in mind if you're planning to walk somewhere for dinner. Despite these issues, the hotel itself is excellent -- clean, modern, and comfortable, with friendly staff and great breakfast. I would stay here again if I needed an overnight near the airport, but I sincerely hope they bring back the shuttle service -- it would make a huge difference in convenience and overall experience.
