This was actually our first winery on our wine-weekend. Tom is a wonderful host. He was able to tell us so much about each wine as we sampled all the wines. He really took his time to make sure we understood the process. He does a lot of blending grapes with other fruits to create unique wines. The fruits change the tartness and sweetness of a wine. My favorite wines were Kran Rose (I'm a big fan of cranberries), Rose of Traminette (spring, seasonal), Faithful Vintage, and Berry Blush. It happened to be my birthday when we were doing the tasting and Tom gave me a free bottle (afterall, we purchased three!). Also, Wenwood is known for the Pumpkin Wine. There are plenty of great things to do in Hermann, Missouri, but no visit feels complete without…read morespending some time at Stone Hill Winery. In my opinion, it's hands down the best winery in the region, and what makes it special goes well beyond the wine. The experience starts with a tasting, and Stone Hill does it right. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, the tastings are top notch, and the wines speak for themselves. Their sparkling wines, Norton, and Chardonel are among my absolute favorites. The grounds are beautiful, with incredible photo opportunities around every corner. And if you're lucky enough to visit during an event, the live music is some of the best you'll find in Hermann. But one of my favorite experiences at Stone Hill takes you beneath the winery. The guided tours of the historic cellars are truly something special. There's so much history in those underground passages, and the guides are experts at bringing it all to life. It's an experience unlike anything else in the area. The nearby museum is another must-see and adds even more appreciation for the history behind this remarkable place. And then there's dinner. A visit to Stone Hill simply isn't complete without a meal at Vintage 1847 Restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is phenomenal, and the steak is easily my favorite in Hermann. It's the perfect way to end a day of exploring. In fact, I've pretty much figured out my perfect Hermann itinerary. Start with a wine tasting, spend some time exploring the museum, take a guided tour through those incredible cellars, and finish the evening with an unforgettable dinner at Vintage 1847. Throw in some live music and a few great photos along the way, and it doesn't get much better than that. Hermann is full of wonderful experiences, and you could easily spend days discovering everything the town has to offer. But if there's one place I would tell absolutely everyone to visit, it's Stone Hill Winery. There are plenty of reasons to visit Hermann. Stone Hill is one of the biggest reasons to keep coming back.

This was not in the wine tasting but you can't go wrong with a Moscato in my opinion. During Harvest season you can stomp the grapes with your feet. I hate I missed that but I will definitely return next yr to partake in that excursion. Plenty of picturesque moments. I absolutely enjoyed this winery and look forward to returning.
