One thing that really stood out recently was that they were open during a blizzard when so many other places were closed. That kind of reliability means a lot to the community and was incredibly appreciated. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and helpful, which makes shopping there a pleasant experience every time. You can tell they care about their customers and the store. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to larger grocery stores, but for a local market with such a great selection and such wonderful service, I personally don't mind supporting them. Somehow many, not all, of the workers/managers could care less about customers versus their task at hand. The result is lack of respect that manifests in intrusive behaviors such as bumping into customers without apologizing, not moving to let customers navigate the narrow aisles and yelling/pointing while directing another worker while customer is literally right there which is akin to invading personal space. The concern is if the store's history and future potential becomes overshadowed by obnoxious behaviors and lose too many customers, over time, to stay afloat. I'm not yet ready to bail but am getting close, unfortunately, esp given alternative markets and/or online options for the same products.
