It was kind of near the river/launch ramp. Not much of a view. I think this location of the snake river just isn't all that nice. A lot of brown yuck and lots of flies and gnats. Had to be careful to keep our mouths closed! When I went to use the bathroom, the light wouldn't work! I tried a couple different switches (they're outside) nothing! So I had to leave the door wide open for the natural light to come in. I don't get it? Why not have a light switch inside the bathroom? Anyway definitely clean - very outdated. The camp host was nice, she saw us come in and kind of chased us down on her little golf cart and actually came around my husband's blind side and he almost ran her over! We were a little confused by the way she snuck up on us. I'm not sure if I would recommend coming here ? Definitely not an "Oasis on the Snake" Of all the RV parks that we have been to on our 2 Week road trip, this was by far our least favorite.

About 1/2 the park appears to be full timers and everyone we met was friendly. Showers are clean and well lit, as is the laundry ($2.25). Very little road noise. The view is spectacular! Lots of good places to eat just a few minutes away (Sweet Wife bakery and Inland Cafe were both worth returning to). There's a nice big Albertsons grocery and a big Ace Hardware. Great little town!

It was amazingly quiet despite being conveniently close to the interstate. Alas no pool (oh well), and no recycling other than cardboard, but store was well stocked with local wine and regional craft beer--both chilled--which saved us an extra stop. Yes please. The park also appeared to have residential sites, but was clean and quiet, and perfect for passing through. The bathhouse was updated, and the staff were kind. It was a friendly stop all around!

Copperfield campground has been our spot for many years. We have noticed over the last few years…read moreand just during out recent stay, that large groups come and they are very loud and the kids run all over. There were groups of kids running and yelling through our camp spot. About 20 adults gathered by a campfire near us and about 10 kids ran wild, yelling and etc. They took over the area and had no respect for other campers. The evening before this happened a group of about 30 rafters came in and surrounded us and were loud. It seems like the big groups have taken over and they do not respect others. Copperfield is no longer the peaceful place that you can just sit in your campspot and enjoy visiting or walking around. Getting hit by kids on scooters and etc is a worry. There is a sign that says no scooters on the walk up to the restroom but kids use this to ride their bikes, scooters you name it. The host drives by and sees and hears it all but doesn't do anything about it. It says quiet time is at 11 pm, but that's a long time to wait for a little peace and quiet and courtesy from others. Sorry for the bad review, it's just very disappointing.

Spaces are…read morerelatively large and it feels rustic, with lots of trees and good shade coverage on hot days. The facilities are what you'd expect: attractive, clean and pleasant. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. We had our RV side door ripped off 4 out of 6 hinges by a nasty gust of wind, popping the rivet heads off all the hinge rivets on a Friday night. How was I going to fix that? Noboy is even open until Monday. Well, Dan at Sumpter Pines got out his drills to drill out the rivets, tap the holes in the frame and screw in some new aluminum screws. And he did it for free!! What a guy!! He saved out trip from possibly losing the door and wasting precious vacation time at an RV repair garage. He saved our vacation out of his skills and good nature. Thank you Dan!!
