The workers are very helpful in so many ways, whether it's fitting your tree onto your stand, or potting your tomato plants with the best soil and fertilizer! There's always a good seasonal selection, plus general supplies and outdoor decor, and plenty of employees available and looking around to see if you need help. Prices are reasonable. Slim picking right now because of after summer planting and fall plants just starting to come in. Very small selection of Mums and other fall flowers at this time. Stars still stay at 4 because of the awesome service. They are so helpful with telling you what to put on your plants to make them bloom better. Please note that when them tell you just a little of the product will work....believe them. I decided that if a little was good (fertilizer) then a lot must be better...WRONG. My plants did not die, but the result was a lot of greenery without a lot of blooms. Too much nitrogen is not good. Next year I will listen better and remember my mistake. I like this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They're the only place I found with the tomato cages I like. They're not too expensive. They have a lot of well taken care of plants. Cute stuff for a garden or to decorate a yard. read more

I used these knuckleheads for both weekly lawn maintenance and to do major shrub installation. They totally screwed up both. The shrubs they planted in June died the following spring and they refused to replace them. They said it was my fault! Meanwhile, my neighbor pointed out to me that if you look from his driveway at the backside of the shrubs you could see the entire root ball was exposed. The shrubs never stood a chance. I asked Rich to come take a look and he refused. Richie and Mike are both make chauvinists. If you have any doubt they treat women customers poorly, look at the number of poor reviews from women. read more

Employees are not that friendly. Went with my mom to get a shrub for our front yard the employees acted like they couldn't care less. They have very nice merchandise and the place was nice. No parking lot and employees need better customer service skills. read more

The nursery has a decent selection and fair prices, however, I called for an estimate on lawn service twice, and twice someone told me they'd come. Nobody did. I'm disabled, and my lawn wildly overgrew in that time. I had to call another service. If a business is overbooked, and cannot take new clients, no problem. My husband and I came in to purchase plants for my dad's terrace, and from the moment we walked into the nursery, we were greeted with kindness and a lot of patience. After redoing our steps and walk way we needed to re plant shrubs in our beds. Went to Eagle and they asked to see a photo of the area and promptly put together several plants that were perfect. They shared tips and ideas that I never thought of. In just a few minutes I not only had my shrubs but a whole scheme on how to keep the flower beds looking great all year. This is actually an evil place. Everyone is so angry and miserable at all times. They give you attitude over the simplest questions and they ARENT EVEN GOOD AT THEIR JOB! The bushes they planted for me died within the year and they would not replace them. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I bought Jasmine plant this year from Eagle nursery , when I bought the plant the flower had Wonderful jasmine smell. But the next day the beautiful smell just disappeared. I got so many flowers but the flowers are without smell. This is the first time I bought something from them but my experience is really bad. They also don't allow returns. I wonder when they sale the plant they use Jasmine perfume to make people fool. read more

My husband called yesterday to see if he could get our snowblower fixed because of the impending nor'easter. At the time, they didn't think they'd have it done in time, but they picked it up this morning, and within a couple of hours called him back to let him know it was ready. They dropped it off this afternoon. As often happens with auto mechanics, they could have told us any number of things were wrong with it, and charged us accordingly, but they didn't. For a small nursery, you'd be surprised what they have. The prices are not outrageous. If you compare them to the big box stores. One minus is the only parking is street parking. It's not that plentiful and the parking enforcement patrol and are fast writing tickets. Helpful people and nice. read more

Glad they moved from their location on Hillside Ave to Jericho Turnpike. Good local business, but.... When the stock is plentiful, it's great. However, towards the end of the season doesn't seem like they get much in for fall planting other than the standard mums. Even if you could buy something, the remaining stocks looks a bit neglected and some of the stock can be missing their labels. read more

Poor Customer Service!! One star is too much but I had to choose a rating. It was my first time there and I asked for help. The three gentlemen laughed at me instead of helping me and just pointed to where I should look. As a VP of a service business I know that is not the way you would treat your customers. I'm a big fan of all of the nurseries in our area including Eagle. I like to make the rounds. From this one I pick up my mulch, annuals and a few perennials. I usually come here for my grass seed and last year I bought my metal rods for my hanging plants. They have nice styles. read more
