Wanted to give Ryan and Owen, plus their team for handling the removal of snow on our 3 condo association buildings. we just had 11 inches of snow in 24 hours and they were on top of cleaning our parking areas, garage ramps and sidewalks. they did not wait until the snow ended, but came out 3 times during the snow storm, shoveling and salting to keep our residents safe and vehicles on the move. Ryan responded immediately when called and followed up with his service expectations and left extra salt if needed . Highly recommended and glad we made the switch to Eagle. I hired Eagle Landscaping many years ago after researching 5 different companies. They gave me one quote that seemed reasonable but in the end I paid several thousand dollars more than the original quote. Just like the review from Mike, they did extra things I didn't ask for, gave vague, complicated invoices and I felt they were deceptive. After I signed the quote they added a rider that said if they did anything outside of the quote, they would charge extra. And they did - many thousand dollars more. The work was terrible. They planted all the bushes too close to each other and we have had to move nearly every one. The lawn is a mess. The walk they installed is not even and has big pools of water when it rains. When we settled the bill, Tom took about $250 off the balance because I protested a few charges but in fact it should have been much more. I didn't fight it as I was in the middle of a family emergency and just wanted to be done with them. Buyer beware. At best they are incompetent. At worst they are dishonest. read more

I have used Eagle for 12+ years for snow removal and many different projects--brick and stonework, trellises and fences, light excavation, plantings, tree maintenance, clean-ups and "heavy" work. I would describe Tom as dependable, trustworthy, and pleasant. When I explain a project, he listens to what I'm trying to do and why. He offers suggestions based on experience, but doesn't try to take over. Once underway, he checks in often on progress, and consults readily on the inevitable "unexpected". He makes good on it if something in his control goes awry. This happens so rarely that I never worry about it. When Tom and his team leave, they leave behind hard work, an improvement, and no mess. Decided to give Eagle a try last year after my previous Landscaper went out of business. First impression of Tom was good and seeing his trucks around town and that he's been in business for a while made me feel good about giving them a try. Didn't work out and we're trying someone else for 2018. The quotes they provided for mowing and fertilizing and things like gutter cleaning were reasonable but I made the first mistake in not asking for firm quotes for things like yard cleanup, plantings, mulching. Big Mistake #1. EVERYTHING Eagle did on a time and materials basis cost us 2-4 times more than we spent in previous years for similar activities. Way too often, Tom would ask "while we're here want us to do X or Y?"and then surprise us with a bill for hundreds of dollars more than we could have reasonably expected - and to top it off, early in the year he'd want payment on the spot - and would send vague invoices after the fact when I asked for documentation. A bait and switch? Further, they are very defensive when something they did incorrectly (like backing over a mailbox when plowing or leaving a gate open a windy day and blaming the wind for breaking the gate and ...). Everything was "not our fault" or "you didn't ask us to ..") (note: they did fix the gate they broke but only after I produced an estimate from our fence people to replace it). Basically we ended up not trusting Tom to treat us fairly and Eagle to do good work (lots of issues here too like leaving equipment strewn around our yard over Independence Day weekend, delivering the wrong color mulch which burned many of the plants Eagle planted for us. All in all I blame myself more than them. I should have terminated with them after last year's plowing and the costly early spring planting and year clean-up. All in all we spent over $1500 more last year than we did the previous year for very similar services. Buyer Beware. read more

I see these trucks all over town and they seemed to do nice work, but I was so disappointed. Beware! They totally underestimated how long it would take to get the job done and since they charge by the hour I ended up having to pay for their inaccurate quote which was more than double than what was estimated. To top it off after they left I had to pull weeds from newly laid bark mulch. Not just one weed, several including a row of weeds along the foundation of my home. I called the owner and he admitted they left the weeds and they came back the next day, but still missed so much I was disgusted. Two days of work and I was left with weeds and shrubs never trimmed. Poor work+overpriced = unhappy customer. I was completely taken, don't let it happen to you. read more
