loved this course! It definitely is a must play course in the desert valley, as each teebox, fairway, and green were in excellent condition. Very challenging course unless you can keep it in the fairway, where it will roll a mile on the beautifully grass. Pace of play was kept up very well too. The clubhouse is temporary, but that's not what you're coming to play! The guys in the clubhouse were over the top helpful, and asked repeatedly sincere questions about how to make my round better (to the extent they could help :) read more

Beautiful golf course! However, the customer service was horrible. The guys in the pro shop were unaccomodating and rude. The starter had no personality. Those taking care of the course deserve a raise. The rest of the staff should be canned immediately. read more

Great condition, fabulous layout, imaginative shot-making necessary, reasonably priced, beautiful vistas, wonderful practice layout.....the only drawback is the lack of a clubhouse. Well worth the visit. read more

Very nice range and practice green. Clubhouse is still temporary--upside is that you can park steps away from the carts. Every hole is memorable and no two look alike. My favorites include #4, a par-5 where you need to position your second shot for an adventurous pitch to an elevated green. Also #6, a short par-3 over desert scruff with a steep drop-off on the right. read more

By pulling into to the parking lot you would not expect much from this course. Still operating out of a trailer. But this course is a hidden gem. Course has it all great playing conditions, challenging and looks good to the eye. Have to rank it up there with the tops I have played in the valley. read more

Worst experience with a golf course staff ever! My friend Bill and I play all the time in the desert in the summer, and have never been treated so badly by an entire staff. We played the course on Monday, and had a great experience. There was a guy named Ted working in the pro shop, who was even friends with Bill, and who treated us great. The two guys running the carts that day were also great. One of the reasons we went back again on Wednesday, was that Bill lost his range-finder there on Monday. I got there a little ahead of Bill on Wednesday. Just after I paid for myself, and was still in the pro-shop, the woman who checked me in said something to one of the cart girls, in the open doorway, that prompted the cart girl to say, "Right now!?" Which I'm guessing meant, "two people are going to play right now!?" My overall theory is that they all thought nobody else would play for the rest of the day, and they could all go home. So, we rained on that parade, and they punished us for it. I went to wait outside, and got my bag ready under the glaring stink-eyes from three different cart guys. One of them came up to me and said, "You should finish in an hour and forty-five today." I said I was waiting for my friend. He said, "Oh, maybe two hours and forty five. But you should be really quick." The other guy said to me, "And I guess your buddy's not right behind you after all." Then, Bill arrived. He asked if they'd found a range-finder. The woman said they had two, but neither was the one he was looking for, and REFUSED TO LET HIM LOOK AT THEM! She also said that even though we were the only people on the course, they'd be watching us on the GPS. We both took this to mean, "don't even think about playing any extra holes." There's absolutely no drinking water once you're on the course. They provided a couple bottled waters in our cart's cooler, but from playing there the other day, we knew that wasn't enough. We politely asked for a couple more, to which the cart guy said, "you've got a couple in your cooler, sir." I asked for a couple more anyway, and he begrudgingly gave them to us. When we finished the eighteenth, we were tied on the round, so we went back to play just the eighteenth again. One of the cart guys came out and stared us down while we were teeing off, with his hands on his hips, then scolded us for even trying to play one extra hole, and told us to wrap it up. We picked up our tee shots, tried to explain, we're tied, we were just playing one extra hole to decide the match, and there's nobody out here, anyway." He said, "you're welcome to take it up with our manager." I said, "we've felt a distinctly unfriendly vibe here all day." He just shrugged. Then the woman who checked us in came out and sat in her car, eyeballing us, until we drove out of the parking lot. I can understand not wanting to work and wanting to go home instead, but... Then don't keep the course open! And in any service industry, you should never let the customer know how much you resent their patronage. We paid the full rate! read more

About the only positive thing I can say about this place is that the course itself is decent. But that doesn't begin to compensate for the terrible service my family and I experienced from the management and staff. They are more interested in enforcing arbitrary rules than in providing a great customer experience. For example, before the round I was told I couldn't walk, even though the course is quite walkable and there was no possibility that pace of play would be an issue because almost no one was at the course. After our round we were told we couldn't use the range, chipping green or putting green, even though again there was not a single person on either one. We were officiously told "when you finish your 18 holes, that's it, you're done." There were several other examples that individually were minor, but they all added up to make it a downer of a day. And when I tried to engage in a discussion about how these rules affected our golfing experience, the staff treated me dismissively, claiming they didn't make the rules, only enforced them. That may be true, but then shame on management for not empowering their staff to engage with their customers. Annoying rules and poor service are one thing, but what caused me to write this review was when one of the staff resorted to verbal abuse directed first at me, but then escalating to confronting and swearing at my wife and 12-year old son. Nice way to treat a woman and a kid! I have never experienced anything close to that at a golf course. Staff should be fired for behavior like that. So now I know why no one was at this course. It's way off the beaten path as far as desert golf goes, and to attract a strong clientele they need to go the extra mile to deliver a great experience. The staff has no clue how to do that, and from the way the place is run it's clear that management doesn't either. You couldn't pay me enough to come here again. read more

Great course = difficult ... but that should not surprise you with a slope of 128 ... everyone was very nice and attentive ... The practice area was really great. The back 9 seemed easier that the front. Even though I did not score as well as I would have liked, I will play this course again. read more

Let me start off by saying the course is very nice and that about covers it. The pro shop staff are a couple of old and grouchy men who have no idea how to keep a golf course running well. As a traveling professional and a single digit handicap I stopped in on quite a few golf courses in my travels and never have a problem as a single walk on. Even if you are the very first person at the course at the crack of dawn they will not let you go out as a single. Playing from the championship teams they were going to try to stick me with a threesome 45 minutes later all teeing off from the senior tees. That showed absolutely no forethought or really any care for how I would enjoy my round. If you're going there for a buddy's trip or with a group of golfers then you'll enjoy the course but don't try and go there as a single. I left the golf shop and went directly to Indian Wells golf course, The course that hosted the very first big break TV show and walked on with no problem. That course is three times what Eagle Falls is. read more

Played today with clients and relatives. Paid nothing for such a nice course. My son rec'd a jr. rate! This course is in great shape. Greens were smooth, grass was well manicured. Everyone in the clubhouse and working in the field was courteous and helpful. The back nine is easier than the front. Great range, includes a chipping green and bunker. Large practice putting green. Well my group of guys has come to Palm Springs for several years. We always play EF. The week consists of 6 days and usually 36 holes a day. We play Mission Hills PGA West and many other fantastic golf courses. We schedule an early tee time before we come out and then get a replay usually at a 50-60% of the early round price. It in the past was the same at EF. This year we played 18 and discussed the replay with the pro shop manager. He said carts had to be in by 5:30. Nowhere else has that requirement. We said ok we'll play as many holes as we can on the replay. We paid a higher than expected reply price and started out. After nine holes a Marshall came out and told us we only paid for 9 more holes. The manager became belligerent about the hole deal and was VERY rude to us even cursing us like drunk sailer. Very unprofessional. We have never had this treatment at EF before. We will not be returning to EF, there are too many other good places to play. read more

I don't know where to start. The course is okay... Actually it's pretty good. The management... SUCKS! It is a bunch of old guys. They are probably used to rowdy people from the casino. I am a single digit handicap and came in with my family in the morning, and for situated in a cart. We went to check in and the guy checking us in was old and grumpy. There were three of us, two adults and a 12 year old kid. They said they had no junior rate, that everyone paid 85 dollars regardless of their age. That was bad, and I told them that, and the guy said that it wasn't his rules, and that there was nothing he could do. He was being totally defensive to himself. Then we continue and find that you can't walk. Thus us even worse. I asked why, and they said it was for pace of play. If it were actually for pace of play that would be okay, but there was absolutely no one on the course. The whole round, we didn't see one person until the eighteenth hole. After the round, I wanted to go to the range, and after hitting three balls, a staff member comes up to us and says the range was closed. We said that was ridiculous, and again, he said it wasn't his rules and that we had to leave... so I did. We went to unload or clubs and the one half nice person there offered to clean our clubs. We then went to the pro shop to tell them about what happened. They basically told us to get out of there. We went back out while the guy was cleaning our clubs, one guy came out and told him to stop cleaning our clubs. I gave him a look and asked him if he was serious. We told him to check his yelp reviews in the morning, and he said, "I don't give a s***!" We went back back inside to the pro shop and unwired who the idiot was. They didn't want to answer, and said he was a golfer. Definitely not true. NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE! IT SUCKS A TON! read more
