Our upcoming visit to the islands is just around the corner, our creative & talented seamstress has her own prints but we'd like our own designs to choose from. We've purchased here before (can't believe I haven't done the review!) and Jacqueline actually loved their prints--so did we. The Aloha Shirts were simply fabulous! So here we are again to find more distinctive Hawaiian designs. Today, only "Baba" ("father" in Farsi) was in attendance at the shop, the last time we were here (if I'm not mistaken) was probably before the pandemic. Back then, there were a few ladies working here and were all Pacific Islanders. Baba was friendly & personable. The selection is fairly massive, wall to wall, 2 aisles worth and some on the back wall that were plain (I did not check that back wall!). Pricing? Definitely sky rocketed, just like everything else. It's about $10/yard (the material that's thicker). Hubby needs 3 yards per shirt (XXL Tall). It's a pretty penny, plus the price for custom tailor, that's another discussion lol. Given the price tag, perhaps we will explore other fabric stores (next time) that will accommodate our needs. Plus, when we purchased from the ladies that were here before, they gave us a discount for the amount we paid for the fabrics. Little perks go a long way. In any case, this was a good (learning) experience.

A large majority of the items looked like complete trash. Many, MANY things scratched and scuffed up. I don't want to decorate with crappy looking decorations. A couple items were even ripped (see America sign photo). What the heck!? Who in their right mind would think it's ok to stock that on the shelves? I contemplated taking these items to someone but it would have likely filled the bulk of the cart. I wish I would have taken more pictures but you can see how bad just the few were that I took. Do better, Hobby Lobby. I really hope management sees this.

Now, the reason I cant give this place the 5 stars it deserves is because he has failed me on 3 deadlines that the owner himself set for me. All my stuff was suppose to be done on a Sunday, so I came Monday and it wasnt done, Tuesaday and it still wasnt done, Wednesday still not done....now I'm waiting 2 more days. I will prob still use this guy because aside from not completing your items on time, its still good work at a fair price.

I walked in and ask if they sold foam. They said yes and asked me to bring the old foam cushion in. I had it in my van so I brought it in. They measured and gave me a price for both. The price was very reasonable compared to another upholstery business in bellflower. I left a deposit and they ordered the foam and told me it would be available that same day. I placed my order around 11:00am and by 2:30pm everything was ready. I am very happy with their product and service! I wanted to buy ribbon various color sizes and types. When I walked towards the back of the store to look at the ribbon, I was flabbergasted!!! my eyes open so wide my mouth dropped open. I had just stepped into ribbon heaven. I came away with maybe 20 different ribbons, maybe 5 yards each and $48 bill. Well worth it. I wanted various types to make ribbon book markers. I will post a picture so you could see how beautiful they came out. I will be back with a pocket full of money to buy more ribbon.

There seems to be around three warehouses and main showroom for educational goods from tables and chairs to books and study aids and lesson plans for teachers. I wanted to stall all day here to find things for the grandsons. At the warehouse, there are many sale items marked down to more than 70% off and are in new condition. Also, there were about five employees available on the floor to answer questions or to help look for specific items. I would bring the grandsons here, but am afraid they would want everything about dinosaurs!
