This was AMAZING! We went to Shasta Lake for the weekend. We stayed at the Bridge Bay resort. It…read morewas a great place. On Saturday morning I walked out on the front balcony to take look at this beautiful lake early in the morning. The guest next door (Daniel) and I started talking. I told her I want to take family out on a boat and so questions revolved around what kind of boat should I rent etc....She suggested to contact her friend Captain Michele and let her take all of us out. The best suggestion ever! Michele immediately returned my call and we decided on a half day on her ski boat starting at noon. We drove to Antler's Marina and met Captain Michele at the dock. The best day of summer!! She was super friendly yet professional. We did the paperwork and head out. Tubing, wake boarding, fishing etc. You name it and Michele arranged it all for us. She had all the equipment. All we had to do was show up with our sandwiches and beverages (The good kind). Captain Michele was our designated driver!!! Most fun ever! Or as my 8 year old son put it #bestsummerever!! Smiles and laughs and fun all the way till the evening hours. I would also like to mention that price was very reasonable too. We can't wait to go back. I will give Captain Michele a little bit more notice this time. Thank you so much Fun Factory!!

She wasn't pushy at all and didn't upsell me anything - just gave me all the tips and info. We decided on a tandem snowmobile for an hour with a guide. We arrived 20 minutes late but she was so professional - she shortened and made the check in process so easy. There was a cabin with fire where you can change since Deer Mountain was quite cold and was snowing that day desolate the snow drought. She was mega attentive and taught us everything and told us exactly where we were going. She took couple of pictures for us and explained what we'll see had it not been so foggy. On the way back when we stopped at a viewpoint my boyfriend accidentally accelerated and we toppled right where the cliff started - Michele rushed over and helped us up and we genuinely concerned for our well being. We're so grateful she was our guide and can't recommend her enough. She's an amazing person with a beautiful smile and we definitely suggest everyone go snowmobile with her, especially first timers!

Do NOT USE this place under any circumstances!!!!! We rented a SeaDoo on Labor Day weekend! First…read morethe owners tried to sell us this 2007 SeaDoo for $4,000. We said, No thank you, we will just rent it. Took the stupid thing out for a total of 6 hours and the light started blinking, the next thing you know it's only running 5 miles per hour. We managed to ride it back to the rental company before they closed and swap it out! They had no problems swapping it out...obviously they knew it had issues! They told us...oh it might be the pump, I'll have my husband look at it, maybe you picked up rocks??? Or maybe NOT! This isn't our first time...we're out on the lake every Labor Day! A week and a half later my credit card it charged over $800 for the repair! I've got no description of work preformed or service done. When my sister called to see what the deal was, she was like oh ya, I picked up the parts today and my husbands going to fix it...save you guys some money ! Really!!!! Then I called and she was unwilling to speak to me and HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I guess I'll see you in small claims court! Not only that...bad yelp reviews are going to cost you a lot more! Stay away from this place!!!!!

For the money you would spend on renting a boat, you expect the boats to be clean and in tip-top shape. The last time we did a boat trip, the boat was really dirty. The rugs and the upholstery on the seating was totally disgusting. It was just not acceptable when you consider the cost. The trip itself fun if there is not a drought. The lake just is not as pretty when it's low. Houseboating is very much like camping. It's a lot of work. And managing the boat can add stress. We had an issue with the speedboat and spotty cell service. When we were able to get through, the office didn't answer. It was really stressful.

Nothing is as advertised. Board with caution; you'll be lucky if your boat turns back on. Major…read moreengineering issues with our boat. Showers are lake water only (not a major problem but a heads up would have been nice). Amenities are minimal and outdated at best. Don't bother asking the staff for anything, they act as if all questions are a major inconvenience. If they do actually help with anything, they'll also tell you their cashapp info without asking and wait patiently for you to download the app to send them a tip before leaving your boat. It was really expensive for a terrible experience.

I came across The Reel Thing July 27, 2016. My cousin and I had just pulled the boat up into the shade so we could start prepping it for the week ahead of fishing. Shortly after we began our setup a gentleman came down the hill in a golf cart. He circled around the boat and asked, "Are you guys going to be here long?" We replied with a friendly no. The next thing you know this gentleman introduced himself as Bob and began telling us about the fish. Bob gave my cousin and I so much detailed information our brains almost exploded. Bob then let it be known he is a guide on Shasta and has many years on Shasta and other lakes. Bob's friendly demeanor and willingness to provide so much information to non paying people was so amazing. He was not trying to sell us a guided trip. He didn't tell us to get off his lake. He told us that he loves giving out the information because it is what he loves to do. Put people on the fish! Bob Telles put us on the fish alright.
