Home warranty company dispatched Eagle Electric to fix a bad arc fault breaker. Technician showed up on schedule and on time (this is rare for service appointments!), and quickly diagnosed the issue. He explained it well, and said he had to order some harder-to-get parts. The parts arrived a couple of days later, and they scheduled to come out the next morning. Technician arrived on time, quickly replaced the bad breakers, and got me up and running. He also showed me the old breaker, explained why it was hard to get, and explained that he checked over the other breakers/connections and everything looked good. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews of them I see on Yelp. My experience with them was fine... certainly much better than average for a service appointment! read more

They did a great job and we're very knowledgeable and personable. Would not recommend! On Feb 19th I submitted a request through American Home Shield to have an electrician out because my 7 yr old daughter's room smelled like burning rubber/fish and Eagle Electric was who they assigned. I was told they would contact me within 24 hours to schedule. By Feb 24th I hadn't heard anything so I called them. The woman I spoke to seemed annoyed that they would have to come out to Fernley and said maybe she could send her husband on February 27th, but they would prefer to wait until March 3-4 and told me they would call in a few days to schedule it. I was annoyed but agreed that we could wait a few more days, even though that's over a week since I submitted my request. By February 27th they still hadn't called, so I contacted American Home Shield to let them know and to see if they had someone else they could assign. They left a message with Eagle Electric asking them to please call me to schedule and said if it wasn't scheduled soon we could request a different electrician. I never heard anything back in the 27th so I called Eagle Electric myself on the afternoon of Feb 28th to see when they were planning to come out. She told me they were still behind with outlier cities and had other jobs that kept coming up, and told me to call back on March 3rd and HOPEFULLY they could come out on March 6th or 7th. This would be TWO WEEKS after my initial request was submitted. I told her that my daughter hasn't been able to use anything electrical, lights, etc in her room. I basically haven't even let her into the bedroom at all and she's been sleeping in her brother's room, until we know exactly what the issue is. Her only option was that we should check the lightbulbs in the overhead lighting to make sure everything was working fine. She said I could contact Home Shield to request someone else, but at this point I should just wait for them to come out March 6th/7th because anyone else is going to make me wait too. I hung up on her and immediately called Home Shield to request someone else who actually knows what they're doing and is willing to do the work. read more

I found Eagle through a home warranty call. I wanted to replace 4 fixtures (2 bathroom, 2 kitchen) so I contacted them to do the install. Peter, who came out for the call, was GREAT. And the work was completed as requested. Their pricing, on the other hand, is suspect. Please do your research and get at least one competitive quote before you commit. Ask for a "time and materials" quote before signing their "contract." I provided an email with pictures of the existing fixtures and the product details for the newly purchased fixtures. They provided a quote/contract of $400 for the installation. A "time and materials" option was NOT offered to me. I was only provided a "contract." Peter had told me their bill rate was $105/hour. I (foolishly) assumed that meant the installation would take approximately four hours. I figured one hour per fixture. I had no clue! I'm not electrician!! I trusted an ELECTRICIAN to know how long it would take to INSTALL FIXTURES after they had been provided pictures and clear details about the work to be done. Peter completed the job in less than an hour and a half. I thought WOW FANTASTIC! I thought they would adjust the job rate down to $200 (seemed fair to me) Not the case. When I called to make payment, Cynthia requested the full $400. I questioned her. Cynthia said I "signed a contract" but she would ask Mark the owner to reprice. They charged me $325 for a job that would have been less than $150 for "Time and Materials." They more than double charged me. Don't let them double charge you. read more

I received a call from the Eagle Technician and was told that he could probably solve my issue over the phone. He took the time and walked me through the steps to resolve the problem saving me $$. He was patient, courteous and professional. It is admirable to find a company that isn't just trying to make a buck, but instead establish a good reputation. They came out on a home warranty work order. They LITERALLY looked at unsafe wiring and told us our warranty company would pay for it. Then they reported to the warranty company that nothing at all was wrong. They are extremely unprofessional and I would let them change a light bulb. read more

They came out due to a home warranty ticket I put in. The service needed wasn't apparently covered by the home warranty, but he still took some time to go up to the attic to see what was wrong with the pendant light. Turned out the previous homeowner had done some sketchy installation of the pendant lights. I was fully aware that the home warranty wouldn't pay for the removal and installation of new lights, but I WAS willing to pay for this. The tech left as he other clients and said " we'll call you about scheduling". *crickets* Called the office and a rather rude lady answered the phone, she's probably related to the owner in some fashion to still be employed. After I checked her slightly on her attitude, she leveled out and said that they would call me back. *double crickets, nay a symphony of crickets* Finally called another Electrician and they'll be out Friday. I know it won't be an easy job and I'll pay the OTHER company to fix it. This company must be rolling in cash from home warranties that they can just ignore jobs. Wow. Don't understand the bad reviews. I had Eagle Electric do some work for me and found the service great! Sure there was a hiccup at first as home warranty company didn't contact them immediately, but once I contacted them they were out that day to troubleshoot the problem. It was a stressful day for them as a few employees didn't make in that day and wrte ahort handed. But with all that, they still made it out that day. Had to order parts, so that took a few days. But true to their word, parts came in and they contacted me and got the problem fixed. I found their company very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Sure they are very busy as they handle work from many home warranty companies. Maybe I am an easy going guy who doesn't need to be catered to and understand things happen sometimes that cause delays. Eagle electric is run by some unprofessional people. I would not recommend them to other Yelpers as they didn't show up after I stayed home from work to meet them. Just had a complete kitchen remodel, and called Eagle Electric to do all the lighting. They changed out the old style overhang tube light for canned, pendant, and under cabinet lighting, as well as relocating outlets. Not only were they on time, they finished the project in the time frame we discussed, as well as working around the cabinet and granite guys. The finished product came out amazing! We had an electrical issue that was repaired thru our home warranty and the service was great. He showed up at 8:00 for the 8-10 window we were scheduled for. Turned out to only be the GFI in the garage was tripped. Once he reset it, all outlets started working. He took the time to explain what the GFI was and to be sure to check it if any of the outlets stopped working again. read more

Eagle electric just completed a home warranty job at our house. This is the second time the warranty company has sent them to us. Both experiences were great. The first time he came out, he diagnosed and fixed our problem quicker than I could believe, in and out. The second problem was more challenging but he worked tirelessly to figure out what was wrong with our island vent hood in the kitchen. Crawling around in our attic and trying to decipher the crazy wiring that the previous homeowners had installed during an amateur remodel. He got it fixed in the end and was very diligent about cleaning up and making sure he left our home better than he found it. The Eagle Electric tech was scheduled to be here between 8am and 11am. He showed up at 11:45. He was here for 45 minutes. He was sarcastic and a bit rude. I am sure that he was defensive because he was aware that I was angry at his late arrival. I suggested that he should have called to let me know that he was running late and he said that he didn't have my phone number, however he was able to call me to check my address when he couldn't find my house because he had written down the wrong address.The tech did not seem to be terribly knowledgeable or competent, but he did get the job done. I wasted three hours waiting for an electrician who couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone. I would advise everyone to avoid this company like the plague. read more
