Out of 6 different attempts to get an issue resolved, only one person was considerate and came across as a true support agent. Problem still not solved and probably never will be. I go every 2 months to this office to add money to my account. None of the tells are will rested or has had a good morning or good afternoon. They are very anti-social and very rude. They make it so difficult and in place to be there. Every time I go they fight me back to service me. I was their yesterday in person I was told to go home and make payments by phone. That's probably the best help they ever gave me so I don't have to deal with unhappy people. My question to the staff is Whitestone Queen why work with so much hate. Predatory behavior from this monopoly. For some reason they cannot integrate technology with other states so we have to call multiple offices to fix problems and deal with the outrageous fees. The behavior from this company is truly disgusting, disrespectful, dishonest and despicable. They made changes on my account without my request and now they do not want to return my hard earned money. I was on the E-ZPass Basic Plan, they then changed my plan to New York State Bridge Authority Discount Plan. Which requires 17 trips using the EZpass per month or else there will be a $17 charge. I never ask EZpass to make this change. At the time I was working in Connecticut and live in NY, I used the I-95 business days, so I never noticed this until I changed jobs back to NY and no longer used toll station business days. I noticed, because my checking account was debited $25.00 twice in one day, so I checked my EZpass account. You know they have been taking $17 out of my account since December 2015, I noticed in July. So they made changes to my account by analyzing travel pattern, but never changed it back when my trips decreased. Instead this disgusting company still continued charging me for 10 more times (9 months). Really?!? Charged my twice in July and even after I reported it in July, they still charged $17 in August. Wow. When I spoke with them in July they promised to return my money back, but I only got back money for 8 payments and they refuse to refund December and January. I contacted them again for the rest of my money, this is what they told me. "We are unable to credit your account as requested. The transaction(s) (12/3/15 and 1/2/16) in dispute exceeds the 180-day limit stated in the E-ZPass Terms & Conditions you agreed to as part of your application, and is not eligible for credit. However all the other un-used commuter trip charges has been credited back to your account. Please note as of 7/5/16 the NYSBA (Bridges Discount Commuter Plan) has been removed from your account and $17.00 that was charged on 8/2/16 also has been credited back to your E-ZPass account on 8/12/16." * No lines at the bridges - what a joy! * Ok, I'm kind of surprised this is an FTR. E-ZPass is wonderful! I don't live in the New York area anymore, and left long before E-ZPass started to be offered. But what a great innovation - being able to just ignore the long lines at all the Toll Booths and zoom right though without even stopping. I love it! It of course would be nicer to not have any tolls at all, but if you do have to have them, then this is definitely the way to go! I was unaware I could not use my E-Zpass sticker with a rental considering my car was under repair. 3 tolls at $1.50 - has now risen to $2,000. Note: They were paid with a money order, I sent a letter explaining the issue and a copy of the police report indicating my car was in a vehicular accident. The first response was that they posted the $5.00 to only one of the tickets and from there the amount due just keeps rising like a cake the reaction of baking soda or baking powder in cake mix and there's no one who is willing to take the time and perform due diligence to get to the root cause. read more

For reasons unknown, once a year or so, the Delaware Memorial Bridge toll booth thinks my car is an 18-wheeler truck and overcharges my E-ZPass account. In the past, I was able to call this E-ZPass office and get the overcharge fixed. They would take well over a month to post the refund to my account, which is glacially slow but what can one do? This year though, they told me that I had to send in a written request for the refund. So this E-ZPass office has only gotten slower and more bureaucratic. Yay, progress? read more

OMG I so agree with the prior reviewer. We got a violation and had moved, so it for some reason, was not forwarded. OK fine. Then, I get a collection letter for the toll plus a penalty! So I call them and the collection people cannot do anything....you have to call EZPass....ok, so I call EZPass...big mistake...first they tell me that I have to tell them that I moved....well, I answered how about this...how about you cross check the names of the people who own cars that register violations and compare them against the tag holders (read: me). DUH! My tag number and if it is valid, which it was, then why not dispense with sending me a violation. It was like talking to a proverbial wall. read more

I don't know why I cannot add just enough money to my ezpass account when the balance is "LOW" to get me through the end of the month until my next pay (I get paid monthly). Oh and their idea of a LOW balance is half of your monthly use, which in my case is $70!! (thats a LOW BALANCE) And they only allow me to add my full monthly use of $140 and not $20, $30 $40 or whatever amount i may need to get me through the month. Can you imagine?? NY not taking your money in any amount? WTF???? I do not have the full $140 towards the end of the month, and now since I do not even have the option to pay the toll in cash on the TZ bridge, they continue to just try and screw the poor hard working people trying the make a living and pay bills! While I lived in NYC for ten years, I had both car and motorcycle EZ Passes. Because, I sometimes travel to the East Coast, I kept my two EZ Passes. When I moved to CA in 2006, NY EZ Pass told me that to keep my EZ Passes that I had to have vehicles registered on the account. Therefore, I left my vehicles registered with EZ Pass confidently knowing that I had control of my EZ passes in California. Positive control of my EZ Passes was one security measure. Also, I last updated my AX credit card in 2009, so having an expired credit card on the account was a second security measure. If I had thought about it, I would have deleted all but one vehicle, but it did not seem necessary. I did not foresee that the motorcycle license plate would be reissued to a car. NOW THE ISSUE: One of my registered vehicles was a 2000 Harley with a Veteran Tag "75TH." I sold this vehicle in 2006 and did not think to update my NY EZ Pass. Subsequently, the vanity plate "75TH" was issued to a Chevy mini-van with a United States Military Academy USMA) License Plate. On November 11, 2015, this vehicle went through the Woodbury toll without paying. Consequently, I was billed for $17.43 even though my tag was a Veteran plate on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and the violation was a USMA plate on Chevy mini-van. Furthermore, an expired credit card was billed for automatic renewal which flowed to my current AX card. Unbelievable! I've been dealing with this since Mid-November. EZ Pass employees acknowledge that the vehicle in the image at the time of the violation could not possibly be my vehicle. I've had multiple conversations with NY EZ Pass employees. Today, I received a letter from EZ Pass denying my appeal of the payment. The ineptness of the EZ Pass employees is absolutely mind numbing. They can see from their records and the violation image that the vehicle that violated the Woodbury toll has never been registered to me. The violation image shows that the reissued "75TH" USMA vanity plate is on a late model Chevrolet mini-van. It is absolutely not a Veteran vanity plate on a Harley Davidson. With this compelling evidence in their hands and visible to them with their eyes, NY EZ Pass denied my appeal of the charge. NYers, this is your Tax Dollars at work! read more

While the wait was really long (1 hour plus), it was expected since I came on a Saturday...my clerk was prompt and efficient when I got to the windows - i was just getting a tag so it was pretty quick and painless...my husband, however, was disputing an issue around violations and the random fees EZ Pass was trying to charge him that customer service (phone) was giving him the run around on. Crystal and her supervisor were soooo helpful and worked patiently to resolve the issues on the back end so my husband wouldn't get charged. I called and the man said he would remove the charge and it would appear on my account in a couple days. These people rip you off!!!! I received a violation for the TPA Bridge so I sent in my payment of $8.50 with the letter like they told me to to waive the administration fee. A month later I received a collection notice for the same exact violation. When I called EZ Pass they said I have to contact the collection agency and there was nothing they could do!!!!!! read more

My tag had an issue and wouldn't process at the booth (I had just put money on it that morning too). So instead of telling me it doesn't work and to call the center to fix the issue, they confiscated the tag. What is the point of that? If you're going to charge a fee you're charging it either way. What's the purpose of taking someone's tag away? It seems to only be hurting ezpass. I'm now driving the extra 8 mins to avoid the toll roadway. This makes no sense at all read more

As long as you have all the applicable paper work and licensee number for your vehicle . you will be in and out in less than 15 minutes. They even give you strip that detail what time you can within the business and they also write the time of completion . I can only assume that this is for sampling purposes so supervisors can assure the efficiency of employees.I initially went in thinking that the long line would take me over an hour with 24 people ahead of me.I applied for a brand new ez pass account and walked out in 12 minutes including the time it took me to fill out the applicable forms. Truly unlike any other agency besides the passport agency who operates with this level of speed and organization. The EZ pass is given on hand and on site in which you can use the next day. There recommendation is 2 day wait if you are going to leave the state. I left the next day and encountered no problems. read more
