Atrocious, disgusting & just plain out gross. For $160, which I understand is on the cheap side already, we just expected a bit more cleanliness if anything... We weren't excepting this motel to be grade A clean but come on.. just plain out gross. My husband stayed for a night, never again will he stay at any other janky motel lol you definitely get what you pay for but being charged the maximum rate for a room that didn't even have a working TV box or TV... absolutely absurd! This was a super last minute & emergency type of thing which is why we had to pick such an awful hotel but please avoid at all costs if you're able to! Totally nasty & just plain out unacceptable in my opinion! People work really hard for their money.. basically stealing from your guests for these overwhelmingly gross & disgusting rooms. Do better.

First when I got in my room the TV is a bubble TV for one. Most channels you get are super snowy. The TV loses signal supposedly due to construction next door. Well it's 7:30 at night there is no construction. The dresser has hair and wood shavings and crumbs all over. I have to keep my clothes in my suitcase I mean come on. I tried to call the office, the phone doesn't work. On top of that I lose power in my room, so finally they are gonna change my room so I pack up everything and when I go back to the office, the lady tells my oh its back on so no need to change rooms. I asked her since I'm packed up already can we still change the room is garbage. Response was well this isn't the Hilton inn. No it's not but you need to take care of the customers not treat them like trash. I'm an electrician from Vegas out here for about three months. I will not be staying here nor giving any recommendation in staying at this property or any of its sisters....horrible horrible

AVOID at all costs. Clearly a drug den and if you value your money or your life, do not try to stay here. Our non smoking room REEKED of smoke, and not recent smoke. It was clearly the same rug, curtains, tv and linens from the 80s. Bathroom was disgusting. The 'staff' cordoned off behind a locked door, would not issue us another room, claiming there were full which was clearly not true. The hallways were all ripped up. One bed had springs sticking up and was unusable. Refused to refund us for not providing the room we paid for, let alone the unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Fled in disgust.

    Cockroach

EZEight you mean sleepy eight that place in my option and from staying there. Cockroaches everywhere The hotel should be condemned. And then rebuilt so we the people that choose to go to a motel hotel would have a good experience. The EZ right when first built was very nice. It would be nice to see it that way again.

I had just moved down from Cottonwood(about 90 miles north)and needed a place for a few weeks while I looked for an apartment. The area is sketchy and you have to watch your surroundings carefully, especially if you're walking. The 7th street(2 miles north to downtown) bus is right outside the front door and the airport is nearby. I stayed for 3 weeks at a reasonable rate of about $50 a night. The security is professional and keep the place safe. I was worried about loud noise and sketchy people outside my door but security kept it quiet at night. The desk staff is also professional. The only negative issue I had is the key card needed to be rekeyed several times over my 3 week stay. The bed and room was comfortable with a nice bathtub and shower. People criticize the TVs but mine worked fine and got cable. Recommended for value and being nearby downtown and the airport.

    Carpet stains

To summarize quickly - this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I've done a lot of traveling in my life, but I have never seen anything like this. If you are thinking about saving a buck booking this place, please take my advice and look elsewhere. If there was a 0-star option, I would put that as my rating. Here's a quick list of reasons why: Check in time was supposed to be 3 pm. We called to see if we could get in early check-in, they said no. We arrive just past 3 to check-in, and the staff says that they don't have our room ready yet. Of course they were happy to take my payment, but said to come back in an hour and try again. We come back around 4:30 to a massive crowd of agitated people. Once again we are told that we can't access our room (which we have now already paid for) and to come back later. It wasn't until nearly 6 pm that we finally got our room key, while dozens of others still waited. The room was disgusting. Massive stains all over the carpet (pictures attached), every surface was filthy, and our bathroom tub had dirty towels in it. The bed was worse than an air mattress. In the middle of our stay, our shower stopped working, and after calling the office to get someone to fix it, they said they had to shut the water off to the building and gave no reasoning. Our water was off for more than half a day. There are shady characters walking around at all times, day and night. It's hard not to feel unsettled when you're here. The airport is also right next door, so planes will fly over loudly all throughout the night. That gave momentary cover to all the screaming and yelling coming from outside at 2 am. We stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping never stopped at our room one single time to change sheets, bring towels, nothing. The only time I saw housekeeping at all was when they were throwing entire bags of garbage over the balcony on the second floor, spilling trash everywhere. To make things even worse, they charged my debit card THREE TIMES after our initial check-in. I discovered this while I was on the trip, and even after bringing it up multiple times to the front desk, nothing was done about it. They claimed it was a mistake in the system, but that doesn't change the fact that I was on vacation and low on cash because I've got unauthorized charges on my card. Long story short, avoid this place at all costs. Even if you are traveling on a budget, it's not worth it. I've stayed at some terrible hotels in my day, but this one takes the cake. This place makes Motel 6 look like the Bellagio in comparison. Would have rather slept in my car.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

It was nice but kind of small especially when the sun started to set it got really busy. The food and drinks are outrageously priced as you might expect at a resort. The food was surprisingly good though! I got a taco salad, my son got hot dog and fries and his friend got a turkey wrap. It was good but was too expensive. But hey when in Rome! As a solo traveler who had just made that drive, being able to walk straight to a room and crash was everything. He took a few minutes to catch me up on what had changed since my last stay; the breakfast situation being the highlight of that conversation, which turned out to be... relevant. The next morning, after a rough experience at breakfast, I mentioned something at the front desk and Donna, the front-end manager, stepped in immediately, not defensively, but genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right. That kind of accountability is rare. Saturday night brought a similar hiccup at the bar, and Sayan handled it the same way: professionally, without hesitation.
