I have been coming to E Shine for years and it is consistently one of the best massage places in Humboldt. I've never had a bad massage here, hot rocks and towels are always included, and this last one was literally the best I've ever had here. May was absolutely amazing, perfectly firm, professional and hit every spot I needed. My husband received the deep tissue massage while I received the combo massage (90 min Swedish and 30 mins foot reflexology). Highly recommend the 90 mins combo as it serves a whole body experience. I enjoyed soaking my feet in a tub of warm water as I laid down and my upper body was massage. I definitely fell asleep when my feet were being worked on. You'll get a full body massage and towards the end of your full body your feet will be soaked and hot water while your body is being completed. My only tip is if you like a firmer massage you might need to ask because every time I've gone there the masseuses have a light massage style. I got a 90-min combo (60 min body, 30 min feet) for $90 cash (or $95 credit card). The pressure wasn't as firm as I usually like, but it was a purposeful massage... not just rubbing with oil. It left me with a deep feeling of well-being and I almost feel asleep! There was no walking on my back or hot stones like some other Yelpers mentioned, so if you want that, I would ask about it in advance. I took my mom out to E Shine Massage for her birthday and we both left feeling completely rejuvenated and recharged. Nina worked with me and was very communicative about what pressure I was comfortable with, areas that needed a little more care, and was so friendly and warm throughout the whole experience. It was my mom's first time having a massage, and they made her feel very comfortable. It was a real cozy and relaxing environment. It was also a nice surprise when the heated stones came out. Such an incredible massage. I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and needed something day of, and I decided to give this place a shot. I was nervous it may be subpar as it was so affordable, but that assumption was so far off. My masseuse Anne worked magic on my stress levels and overall tension, and not once did I feel anything but blissed out and relaxed. It was the perfect balance of pressure and gentleness. . It felt like she was reading my mind of exactly what I wanted and needed. She is truly a miracle worker, and my body has felt amazing since. I have paid triple the amount for massages that don't come close to the quality I felt here.
