SCAMMER!!!!!!!!!!! Where do I even begin..... After nearly waiting 3 months for pictures I had enough!!!!! I constantly messaged her and asked her for several updates about pictures I had taken with my husband for a couples shoot. At the beginning she would reply, I'll send them right away blah blah blah. As time kept going on it would either be an ignored message or a reply a week after. Every time it was an excuse of some sort and of course me trying to be an understanding human being and be patient. Hello we all have life and work things can get hectic! After waiting for what seemed forever I decided to inform her that I would take her to small claims court. She replied nearly instantly hmmmm how bizarre right after dodging all my other messages. She sent over the proofs right away and then an estimated 30 min after selecting pictures from my proofs she sends the edited pictures!!!! There is no sense of professionalism in doing her work with care whatsoever! I had worked with her years prior for a newborn shoot of my son and had no issue before until this recent photoshoot! Not sure what the hell is going but when you get the run around after several months it's NOT OK!!!! AVOID!! Unprofessional and unreliable! My wife and I did our maternity shoot with Erica in the beginning of December and we were told we would receive our pics by end of month which I knew was kind of unrealistic due to the holidays. Fast forward to end of January where my wife texted and email Erica just to follow up and see how things were coming along and we received no response. Over the course of 2 weeks, texts were sent with no response. I decided to step in and reach out to Erica as a new customer via email which she was unaware of and what do you know, Erica responds in less than 5 minutes. She was so persistent in booking us until I informed her who I was and how she was so unprofessional in ducking us but quick to get new customers. I informed her I would either like our pictures or our refund. She then proceeded with numerous excuses about the software she uses being down and much more. She then texted my wife to apologize and said she would get them done asap. I told her legal action will be taken if this isn't rectified. Fast forward to May and still no pictures or communication. I really wanted to leave a glowing review because our newborn photo session was such a lovely experience. The photographer was incredibly sweet and made our family feel comfortable during the shoot. The photos we saw in the previews were beautiful, and we were genuinely excited However, the experience after the shoot was really disappointing and unprofessional. Communication was inconsistent, and it took weeks of repeated follow ups just to receive the raw images for selection. She reached out to apologize but Even after multiple promises that the final edited photos would be delivered "that night" or "by the end of the day," those promises were not kept. I tried to be understanding and patient, but the lack of follow through and reliable communication made the special memory unnecessarily stressful. After looking at other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who has had this issue. That's incredibly disappointing and shows this may be a pattern, not a one time situation. It's incredibly frustrating to feel like you're being ignored after paying for a service especially something as meaningful as newborn photos. I shouldn't have had to chase her down just to get what I paid for. It's not okay to treat clients like this. I finally received the pictures after such a long wait. Erica is an amazing photographer and has a great eye for what she does, very pleasant to work with and knows her stuff. I did both the maternity and newborn photoshoot with her. I was very uncomfortable while I was pregnant and she made me feel very good about my growing belly insecurities. During my little one newborn photoshoot I didn't have any ideas of what theme to do and she did various shots that all came out amazing. Besides all the great qualities Erica has, time management is not her best one. That is the reason for my rating. As much as I love her work it took about 3 weeks to finally confirm a date. I let it slide because she said she was busy with holiday photoshoots. We finally agreed on the date and after my maternity photo session she told me if we go to her for a newborn shoot she will deduct $100 from the package price. She also mentioned I will get the pictures within 2 weeks and that newborn pictures are best when they are less than 2 weeks old. My fiancé and I were so pleased with her that we gave her a tip on top of the payment we gave her for her service. Two weeks passes and I gave birth and still didn't get my maternity pictures, I mentioned this during the time I was booking her for the newborn shoot and she said no worries pictures will be ready the next day. I did not get the pictures the next day, the newborn shoot came and went and it was already March and I still hadn't received either or. After many back and forth she did offer extra prints for the inconvenience and I received everything within a 2 month frame. I guess because of the rush many of my pictures were not Photoshopped, such as my linea negra on my belly was still visible after she said she was going to remove it and my daughters peeling newborn skin can be seen in many of the pictures. In the end the job was great but she needs an assistant, one who can book her appointments and keeps track of her emails while she has time to photoshoot and edit her work. She's amazing with babies; she made my daughter fall asleep and had her sleeping for an entire hour while changing her in many cute little outfits that she has in her inventory. If you're not in a rush to get pictures I highly recommend Erica but if you need pictures in a short frame of time I suggest to look elsewhere. Side note: I follow her on IG and saw she remodeled her studio and has new props for all work. read more

I, like many others, found Erica on Instagram! I saw her work and fell in love! I wanted to do my newborn shoot with her! So we scheduled it for when baby boy was around 1-2 weeks old. So we get to her cozy studio and everything went well. She asked what we wanted to do and I said a teddy bear theme and as many other set ups as we could in the time frame! So she got to work... and baby boy was NOT cooperating haha! He kept opening his eyes and just being fussy. Erica was patient and let me feed the baby etc. To end the story baby boy sucked! LOL she was able to get a couple shots but not as many as she wanted or could in the time frame... so she amazingly offered us to come back for his 6 months shoot... FREE! We took her time and because she didn't like what she got from the shoot she offered to give us more! That says a lot about her work! So fast forward 6 months later we were able to shoot in the summer time outside in a beautiful park, which included baby shots as well as family shots! They came out beautifully! So happy with her work. She is a young photographer, and works ALONE with no help. I'm a pretty understanding person, her time management isn't the best and you do get a little impatient waiting for the pictures. I can understand her but I also understand why others would find this annoying or a see this as a minus. Not sure where to start but cannot begin to rave about not only the quality of work but the overall flexibility when working with Erica. Due to weather complications she was more than flexible when working with us. At her studio, she was more then welcoming and proceeded to take amazing pictures. Studio session was what you would expect but she proceeded to go above and beyond in editing and getting them to us in a quick turnaround for a shower we were having. At our destination shoot, she travelled out of her way (1hr and half) to take some great shots. She had suggestions but also was willing to hear/do our requests as well. End of the day, I was concerned considering she was referred and I was not well versed in her work but I cannot speak more highly of Erica...her professionalism, overall eye for photography and lastly great of a person she was to work with. Before my granddaughter's first birthday, my daughter emailed Erica about doing a photo shoot for her first birthday and sorry to say but she was so unprofessional!!!!!!! She did respond a few times , even gave my daughter a date. But as the date came my daughter emailed her trying to get the details about when and where the shoot would take place. She never responded. A few days after the date she had given my daughter she rescheduled for that following Saturday. We had already contacted our baker and paid her for the cake to be used at the shoot. Her birthday came and passed and she never got back to her! When I was pregnant almost 7 months I started looking for a photographer for my maternity shoot , With a new baby , New home , New expenses I came to find myself finding out that this wasnt cheap & to me it was almost ridiculous because 2 months later I wanted my baby to have her newborn session .. I was familiar with Erica's work while living up in NY, so when I heard she was coming down to south Florida, i couldn't resist but you book a shoot for my 12 year old daughter. I was a little nervous because I know newborns and maternity is her thing but her professionalism and kindness blew me out of the water. I contacted ecruzphtography in early September to schedule a fall family photo shoot and she responded to me a week later. We exchanged a few emails back and forth and although Erica did respond to my emails (at first) it did take quite a while to hear back from her each time. I understood the delay considering the fact that she is a busy photographer, needless to say after exchanging back and forth we agreed on a date and time for a family shoot. Unfortunately for me, a week before my scheduled shoot I emailed Erica to inform her I had to reschedule. Before scheduling my shoot I made Erica aware that my boyfriend has an unpredictable work schedule. He works out of town very often but Erica assured me this would not be an issue. When we found out he was scheduled to work out of the state on the date we set for our photos I emailed Erica to inform her but I did not hear back. The day before my shoot I was concerned I hadn't heard from her and was worried she would show up to a shoot with no one to photograph, I emailed her once again and also texted her. I heard from Erica the same morning of my shoot stating she received my email and that it is okay to cancel and reschedule and to let her know what day would be okay to reschedule. I responded immediately and told her that Saturday the following week would be perfect, my boyfriend would be in town and we would available if she was. After I informed Erica I would be available the next week I never heard from her again. I attempted to contact her several times via email to confirm my rescheduled date. This was two months ago and I have yet to hear back. I am disappointed I did not have an opportunity to work with Erica as her photos on Instagram are quite beautiful however, the professionalism I received from this photographer was less than par. If she was not available or no longer wanted to work with me all she had to do was say so and it would have given me the opportunity to book someone else in time to have the fall shoot was wanted. In waiting for a response from Erica it delayed my shoot and although I was able to find an excellent photographer in my area with prices just as reasonable as Ecruzphotgraphy, my shoot took place in December and not Autumn as was my original plan. read more

E.Cruz requested for a Model Dee for a photoshoot for Miami Low Rider Show on May 5th. He claimed that she would be the featured model and that was not the case. Even though she was requested for the photoshoot the model had to pay for her own hair and make up artist to be there the whole day. Photoshoot was 9 hours and E.Cruz advises that he would provide with digital copies of all the photos. At the end and a few weeks later not only did we have to fight with him to edit pictures of the model-which he never does. He is the worst in editing. E-Cruz is now asking for payment for the photos that he promised and he is holding the photos hostage. Ladies if you are looking for a good photographer for your photoshoot please stay away from E. Cruz. He's the worst photographer. E.Cruz doesn't listen to what the client or models want. He doesn't know how to pose the models and all poses are the same across the photoshoot. He's not a license certified photographer. He's never been trained and even though that shouldn't matter it comes out in his attitude and photography. Be aware and do your homework on who you hire. We learned the hard way and 9 hours of pictures despite the many request to pay for the photos he's not given the photos. He's ignored all request. He's gone into all social media's to block us from contacting him. That should say a lot about a professional that blocks you on social media and ignores phone calls, texts, and email requesting a form of payment to receive the pictures he took of me. And lastly he's extremely rude and doesn't like anyone to give him advise or allows the models or clients to be creative. Look at his pricing and he's expensive for the bad quality he provides. read more

I did my Newborn photoshoot with E. Cruz Photography 2 weeks after my daughter was born. Extremely gentle, warm atmosphere with tons of props to choose from. My daughter wasnt cooperating during the photoshoot, but that didnt force the Erica to speed up the session or end it. Rather, she gave us ample time to feed her, calm her down and try again. Erica was extremely patient as well. Everyone knows its not easy working with newborns but when skilled at what you're doing and doing what you enjoy, it comes easy. Be aware of whom you hire as a photographer. E.Cruz Photography claims one thing and the final project of photoshoot he does will cost you double of what he promises you. Be careful if he calls you and request for you to shoot for a major event. He will make you pay your own way... Hair and make up, and outfits are your out of pocket expense. Once photoshoot is complete a few weeks later he will post up with your consent and they are unedited. When a person hires a photographer is because you want the pic to look professional and amazing. That's far from what you get with E. Cruz he's not good at editing. The fact is you can take your own pics on your smart phone and just get the photoshop app which is free and do you own photos and editing. They will be better then the poor quality you get from E. I fell in love with her work back when I was pregnant last year I couldn't wait to have her shoot my maternity photos! The photos came in edited just when I needed them for my baby shower. Ever since then I've had her do all of my photo shoots including my sons new born pictures at 2 weeks old, 7 month session and now his 1 year/ cake smash photoshoot!
