Diane and I viewed the play "Driving Miss Daisy" and the popular musical "South Pacific" here, regional Elvis tribute artist competitions and other singing contests, and most recently were fortunate to be comped to watch and hear Big Bad Voodoo Daddy rock the full, standing room only house with its complement of 9 superior musicians and a lead singer who radiated a palpable muscular cool. Terry Fator, too, has entertained appreciative spectators in this room! Because seats are not on risers, and the pathways to the stage seem to rise slightly rather than fall, the sight lines are not that great. But the stage is nicely raised above all seats, and acoustics are very good. Seating is almost always general admission, so those who arrive earliest will score the best seats. They are rather Spartan with rigid backs, and are lashed together; but all seats are cushioned; and a bar is located in the back of the room for libations, and public restrooms are conveniently placed just outside the showroom, which is on the second floor of the casino hotel. One can either ascend a spiral staircase or take a nifty ride in a very large glass elevator that overlooks the locomotive-shaped swimming pool as it approaches the second floor. Prices for all showcased events, that are mostly scheduled on or near weekend days, are quite reasonable for the class acts that are booked here. This is a valuable venue for locals and out of town visitors alike. 3-1/2 stars for the theater itself, and 5 for the acts that appear here. So, 4 stars overall!

Stayed here for Lainey Wilson weekend. Rooms clean but some of the lights on the bed didn't work…read more Bed was hard as a rock I definitely didn't sleep the first night. Only saw one person get a payout the entire weekend. The Mexican restaurant's line was insane, maybe should have been better prepared and open later for concert weekends. The coffee show employees were incredibly slow. Always a long line. Their process is so outdated. The good. : They have a Fatburger, the drinks were cheap, as in 2 slushy drinks with a quick pour of alcohol was $7 We opted for the kids pool as I didn't sleep at the night before I needed a nap. We tried the adult pool there was 1 million people in the pool on the deck alive band. Not what I was looking for so kid pull it was which worked out great. Happy that I had that option. They also serve those tall slushy drinks, which we got virgin one to take to the pool. I believe there was bowling in movies, but I didn't really see that portion of it and I think they have bingo. Oh, they do have a kids arcade so there's lots to do and it was pretty clean for the most part

It's rare for me to wish you could give negative stars... this place has me wishing! I know it's…read morenot Vegas but for the price, what we got is an absolute joke. Check-in says 2pm. We got there at 1:55. Walked straight up to the counter only to be told our room wasn't ready. They said that check-in is actually 2:30-3:00 and that regardless of the time, they make no guarantees to have it ready when you arrive. The woman was quite clear when we didn't immediately walk away. We hauled our stuff around the casino, spending money while waiting for some time to pass. Walked by the check-in desk again and found that there was a line going clear to the door!! By now it was just after 2:30 and we figured by the time it was our turn, it'd be close to 3:00. The line moves at a decent pace so we finally get to the front only to find our room is STILL not ready. The woman who helped us this time was much nicer though... she explains things and has us wait at the counter while she looks to see which of the other executive suites are available. She's able to swap us with one that's ready, sweet! We get to the elevator and there's another line to wait in... this becomes a reoccurring thing throughout our stay, they need to work on the timing of the elevators. Now, I will say that the room is clean. Everything looks nice and well maintained. It's not hot, but warmer than I'd like so I check the air conditioner. It has a block so you can't go below 60, but there is only one vent for the whole room and 3 outside facing walls so I'm not sure it can handle it. We decide to leave it at 60 and hope it cools as the sun goes down. When we get back to our room later, it's even warmer than before. I took a shower just to have wet hair while I slept. I wake up in the middle of the night drenched with sweat (gross I know). I got up to check on the AC and hear it click on. We find out that there's a motion sensor, and it turns off automatically!! I absolutely understand this if the room is empty, but we were sleeping! This means I have to get up at least twice in the night to show it we're still there or suffer the summer heat. After the warmest sleep I've had in ages, I awake to 2 unpleasantries. First, the sound of someone walking. Keys jangling, doors slamming, coughing. It sounds like our door is wide open when it's not. After investigating I find that there is no seal around the door. So not only can I see into the hallway while it's closed, but we can hear EVERYTHING. Second, what we thought were blackout curtains... are not. They don't go to the edge of the glass and they're not quite long enough. It didn't matter how we pulled them, even placing my suitcase against the edge to align it with the wall, we ended up waking to blinding brightness both mornings. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows flat, the water pressure lacking, the wall in front of the toilet meant I gave my forehead a good hard tap when going pee in the middle of the night. This is mostly just about our stay in the room, but the casino wasn't much better. We only got a complimentary drink while gambling once and we were there a whole weekend. If we ever go back to Laughlin it won't be here. I regret what we spent for the room.

I just want to be able to give anybody who's not been to Laughlin and looking to stay in one of the hotel. I feel that they could have more restaurants. I booked a room through Expedia (love Expedia!) and it cost $44 for the night including a $25 resort fee...I couldn't beat that! Upon arrival at the Edgewater entrance to check-in I was happy to find that there were a lot of handicapped parking places with no restrictions on how long we could park there so I was able to get a parking spot near the entrance for the entire stay. Then I used a bellhop to transfer the luggage to the hotel room and he was quick, friendly and very careful with the luggage. He followed me up to the room with my luggage so that I didn't have to wait for them to deliver which is typical. The room was clean and provided the necessities. Remember, I paid $44 including the resort fee...I was not disappointed. I enjoyed my stay overnight and the next morning called a bellhop who immediately came to the room and I joined him as he took the luggage to the car. Again he was friendly (a different bellhop from the day before), quick and careful and he put items in the back of the car. Las Vegas is getting a bad wrap for higher costs. Consider a visit to Laughlin and stay at the Edgewater.

The constant noise and room shaking from other guests on other room floors and the cardboard mattresses is all this hotel has to offer. The only good thing about it was when we checked out a day early. Will never go back here.
