2017's 100 Reviews Challenge! 5/100: If you are ever in Rincón, this is the typical bakery/cafeteria at any "pueblo" (town) in PR. First off, let's start with the fact that even though it's in Rincón (a touristy area) the prices are still like the ones of any local cafeteria. Secondly, the pastries,'specifically the "pastel de guayaba" (Pastry filled with guava paste and sprinkled with powdered sugar) & the "quesito" are both "manjar de los dioses" (food of the gods). Let me tell you something, if you know anything about stuffed or filled Puerto Rican pastries, then you know that although most Puerto Rican bakeries accomplish a perfectly baked pastry, some of them fail at filling the pastry from end to end. That is not the case at E.C bakery. Sure... you are probably going to regret munching down on all those carbs, but it will definitely be worth it for 5-10 minutes of an orgasmic experience on you taste buds... That's right, "ORGASMIC". Ok... enough with the pastries. Thirdly, this cafeteria/bakery has a Drive Thru! You read it a drive thru! Not a lot of local cafeterias/bakeries have a drive thru, so appreciate this fact some they even have a small convenience store that you cam just drive up and purchase. Finally, food is tasty, coffee is your typical strong Puerto Rican coffee, but with milk so if you take it black, make sure to let them know (In PR Most places asume you want "café con leche" since that's how most Puerto Ricans have it) and keep in mind that since this bakery is very popular in a small touristy town, it's always packed and there's a fair amount of wait time (typical with freshly prepared meals). Just take your patience with you and meditate so you can prepare yourself for those orgasmic pastries. read more

Ok, I have done reading other people's review, before writing this one and I have to my experience was totally different! This is a little place to go for some quick food, ordering from the pre-made food section like all the local people do. Their meat dish actually was really good. The beef was made in a special source and marinated through, the chicken was not bad for what you are paying. Also, u have to try their sanwinch with pork belly.... hmmmm.... We were just so fully when we walk out. It feed up two people so well and tons of dessert to go for only 26 bucks! read more

OK so we were told to come here for the bakeries, because of course its a bakery. However, we were never told to stay away from their breakfast so we went in for an early bite...oh boy. I have to be clear, we never tried the sweet bakeries so base this review only on the breakfast(which is the only reason it got a 2 star, not a 1 star.) We ordered the hash browns, revoltillos (scrambled eggs), pancakes and a juice....and everything except the juice and eggs was without a doubt frozen microwaved food, so fake and bad. The hash browns were the frozen McDonald's shaped type and the pancakes, oh those sad little things. I felt like setting them free from that place, but instead I ate them with a frown. I did order the last empanada de pizza which took me back to my old San turce, pr days...the crust was classic, but the filling was ehh. We won't be going back to even try the bakeries because we went to another bakery close by that seemed way better...plus the frozen breakfast thing was a huge turn off lol. read more

2017's 100 reviews challenge! 5/100 Wow... After reading Michelle's orgasmic experience with the pastries, I wonder if I need to get these babies delivered to FL. LOL! i kidd! Nevertheless, back to E.C. Bakery... It's not unusual to visit Puerto Rican bakeries and see that they are also cafeterias with epic sandwich menus, freshly prepared meals and have great Puerto Rican coffee. I take my coffee black, so I always make sure to tell the barista I want it black, like my soul!! lol! Now my favorite part of this place is the sandwich menu. If you are ever in PR, in any cafeteria, make sure you try the "tripleta" sandwich (3 meat sandwich) and the "pernil" sandwich (pork shoulder). These are traditional must haves while in PR (if you eat meat, of course), BUT if in E.C. Bakery, have the "pendejá" sandwich, which is a sandwich you will only find here. "Pendejá" (with an accent on the A) comes from "pendeja" which is a typical curse word in PR (not in all Spanish speaking countries though). However, when used with and accent, I guess you can translate it to "the thing". When I asked an employee why it was called this way he said, "'Cause it's exactly that.. A huge thing! We pack this sandwich with every meat we carry, so it's a monster sandwich". My fellow yelpers... if there is anything you can notice about me, while reading my reviews, is that I'm a carnivore and not afraid to admit it. So I ordered this baby while Michelle was enjoying her orgasmic baked goods, and I LOVED IT. So this sandwich, "La pendejá", is something you don't want to miss if you are a meat lover... oh, and service was great! The EC bakery is our breakfast and lunch spot when in Rincon. Breakfast criollo is perfect was to start the day. Sandwich cubanos are made perfectly. Fresh baked bread and pastries keep the kids happy. Stop by EC bakery if you want to gain weight while on vacation in Rincon. read more

They had a great ham, egg and cheese on their homemade bread. This is a local place, and it is reasonably priced. They also have a drive through if you're in a hurry. Lastly, if you're traveling with kids, be aware they have a few coin operated rides and machines. read more

Free wifi! Perfect cheap and quick breakfast solution. They make sandwiches and have espresso machine. A must have to try is the "quesito" pastry! My wife & I can't get over !! read more

A local bakery. If you are visiting PR and want an authentic experience you need to try a panadería. We came for lunch ordered Cubano sandwiches and some pastries. Excellent all the way around. read more

Quick service, peaceful atmosphere & a friendly staff. The food was just average and nothing to rage about but I was happy to find out that they could make egg white omelets. The location is great because you stay directly on the 115 and don't need to get out of the way. read more
