After a 5 mile jog/walk I worked out quite the appetite so I decided to give this place a go. In PR, I'm a little apprehensive following Yelp reviews but this place from the outside had a good flow of traffic.
This place is located right before the entrance of the Pueblo ( like a town center) and has plenty up parking. It's located on a wonky hillside so be careful.
The inside is very clean, it's a fairly new establishment as it wasn't here when I went years back . They offer a slew of pastries, breakfast and sandwiches. I don't recall anything priced higher than 6 bucks, which is awesome for the amount of food you receive and the homey taste. Asides from the little grill, they also have cold drinks, snacks and rows of grocery essentials. It's like a mix of a grill and convenience store but there are also some chairs where you can sit.
I ordered a super desayuno, which consisted of ham, two eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and coffee. It was like 5 bucks. Usually it comes with pancakes but they were out which was fine with me. The breakfast reminded me of home and although it was pretty basic, I really enjoyed it. The two guys working there were very nice. It is a locals kind of place, I saw quite a few regulars come in and out of the shop.
Overall? It's a cute little place, there a tons of panaderias all over the island, while it's not my favorite I would still come back here. read more
