Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain

Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain

(8 reviews)

Tyler of Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain is *fantastic*. I've lived in my townhouse condo for nearly 12…read moreyears, and the kitchen sink has never drained marvelously well. I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! You will be glad you did.

We feel very fortunate to have found Tyler and Elizabeth Scott, of Pipe Dreams, for our septic pump…read morereplacement. They were reliable, open and honest about the entire process even when the items on the blueprint didn't match the actual equipment that had been installed 20 years prior, along with outdated instalment features. They had to find a different pump, and electrical replacement solutions. They were great and did it with positive attitudes and friendly hardworking ethics. We enjoyed getting to know them and were very impressed with how much they care. They made the job change work with the price they had quoted us as well, which was very reasonable. Thank you both for being a great team. Louisa and Dean

I called a few local plumbers, but no one was available for at least 4 weeks. A friend suggested I call Rotoscoped Rooter, as she had a great prior could of experiences with them and so I did. The operator was very friendly and professional. I was able to schedule and appointment to take place within 24 hours. She made sure I got a courtesy call when he was on his way. Cory (Kory) was excellent. He arrived promptly and figured out the odor issue within ten minutes, one that a home inspector, someone from the sewer department and a few others could not determine. He fixed the issue and I no longer have sewer gas emanating throughout my home and I am slowly getting better. I had home check on a couple other items and he fixed those or explained about those too. The pricing was reasonable and I felt I could trust his expertise. I'd gladly call Roto Rooter in the future, if needed.

Mike "Kentucky" called this morning to let me know his arrival time. Asked some questions about the condition of the pipe and if it needed replacement (Original to house built in 1996). Overall, the process, while much longer than expected, was fine until the end. I had to continuously ask him to make sure things were getting done and it seemed like unless I asked several times it was overlooked. On top of this the bill at the end was much higher than expected, largely due to the fact that he tried to sneak in a "small tile fee" of $500. I called him on it and he removed it. He stressed that it was an honest mistake, though looking back, it obviously wasn't. I made the mistake of giving him a check before the work was done. Left were several things he said he would do on the last day, clean up and putting the doors back on the hinges. My texts and calls are now being screened and I haven't heard back since he left with the check. I would have highly recommended Oakes prior to the end. Now I'd give a lukewarm recommendation.

As I put out requests for multiple quotes, Falcon was the only company that I felt to be truthful, honest, and on time with when they said they would get us a quote. I had to chase down other companies and in one case, waited 4 days for a quote, rather than 1. That's not something anyone can deal with when it's cold out and their heat doesn't work. In addition, they came out to give us a quote that day, knowing Vermont Gas shut off our boiler saying it was entirely broken. The owner was the one who showed up and not only explained the complications with installing a new boiler, but inspected the boiler to deem it safe and turn it back on. The other companies we reached out to sent a sales person who had little understanding of the complications we faced with our boiler change. Thank goodness Falcon was the first to come out and take a look so we could educate the sales people from the other vendors.
