We were methodical about it... until we met the crew at Solo Motorsports. For the last 3 years now, we've had all of our service issues handled there and have never had a single complaint. They are a small shop, with high personal detail given to each customer. Each time either I or my wife walk in or even call... they know who we are. They've made practical suggestions to keep our vehicle running longer and then made fun suggestions to see if we wanted to turn our quiet unassuming family SUV into a yuppie rocket wagon from hell!! We have always said that this is one of those vehicles that we will own until it dies. With help from Solo Motorsports... we plan on enjoying it and keeping it running for as long as possible. I'm not sure I'd ever take it to an Audi Service Center again. We're spoiled now.

Was told that they charge 3% for processing any card payment, though it is not reflected on the invoice and neither did they say anything about it when taking the card. When I mentioned that I would have appreciated having been told about it at the time of payment as it would have allowed me to consider other forms of payment, the fee was refunded but the response that followed is what I can only categorize as rude and unpleasant. I had almost fooled myself into believing that they were toast and that was a good enough reason for me to go in debt and replace them. After speaking with my man Javi (Store manager) I decided to allow Luminex the opportunity to bring them back to life with a new gun metal powder coat with clear. Might as well go ahead and have them put some Candy Apple Red on the brake calipers while exposed. Couldn't be more happy with the finish product. I had an appointment on a Saturday morning at Alpha (sister shop) but when I arrived, it was…read moreclosed. I texted the main number and got an immediate call back from Mo over at Luminex who apologized and ask me to come to the Luminex shop and they would get me taken care of. The shops are within a mile of each other so no trouble at all. I purchased a Groupon for the Nano Ceramic on the front two windows. I saw a previous review that stated Groupons can only be used during the week. I did not have this experience. There were no issues using it at all. Note: Groupons are good for I believe 35% tinting. You can upgrade this for$50. Mo was great in showing me all options and even let me look through the back windows of his car so I could see the amount of light blockage. It was overcast at the time so it was super helpful because it made me realize, what I wanted to do for my back windows would be much too dark for my vision issues and night time driving. He wasn't pushy or tried to upsell aggressively as some places normally would. In the end, I decided to only do my front windows and windshield to start with. I wanted all windows to be uniform so did 20% on the front windows to match the back, 70% on the windshield and added a 5% strip in the top 6 inches of the windshield. Great news is that there's a 3 year warranty! So I was able to purchase worry free! The windshield was $175 and the added strip was $50. The prices are great in comparison to what I've paid for tinting on other SUVs. From the outside it looks excellent. From the inside you definitely feel the temperature and light difference. Right now it still needs to cure so there are some blurry spots but I was assured with leaving it in the sun for as long as I can this would clear up. Tips I was given was to not roll the windows down, don't use the defroster, and only use the foot level AC for a few days. It's also really nice they placed a DO NOT ROLL DOWN sticker across the window buttons as a reminder. If the tinting doesn't clear up, I'll comeback and amend the review but I have all faith that they will be great! Thanks, Mo! Everything is wired correctly but the Box doesn't fit in like it's supposed to. Down facing speakers and the speakers sit on the floorboard so the sub is muffled. And that's just the half; they stole over 1k in cash out my truck and still haven't mentioned a word of it going on 4 days since I picked up the truck. I mean silly me for leaving money in MY truck; but guess they needed it more than I did. I shopped around a few places including the dealer and found Carstar to have the most reasonable price. The service was quick and the work was completed when promised. I will say the tech did make one mistake and somehow forgot to put the actual lock lever back into the door. I did not notice it due to the fact that I had a carseat on that side and never opened the door from the inside. Fast-forward 2 years, the carseats have been moved to the back row, and we realize we cannot unlock the door manually after my wife was trying to exit after sitting in the back. I stopped by and spoke with Reggie not really sure if they would be willing to do anything about it since it had been over 2 years since the work was completed. Even though the mistake was made before Reggie's time, he immediately apologized and told me that he would take care of it. I can honestly say I was a bit surprised as it had been so long before I noticed the issue, and it had taken me even longer to bring it in to have them look at it. Through the entire process Reggie has been awesome and as promised they replaced the missing lever. I can say that for any future repairs Carstar will be my go to repair shop.
