We recently noticed a very small leak in our kitchen so we called. They were very responsive and came out immediately. As it was still raining, they said they would come back out once the rain stopped. They came back as soon as it stopped raining. They identified the issue and fixed it right away. I hired E&H Roofing a few weeks ago to replace the roof on my home which needed some new decking boards and a better attic venting system. Let me start by apologizing for the length of this review. Reviews that say how great or how poor a company is without any details provide no value to others and this review provides many details and is therefore longer than most. Secondly, E&H did my roof in July of 2022. I paid full price, I got no discount, and I waited until November before posting this review. E&H was one of several quotes I got to replace my composite shingle roof. They were the highest by about $200 but they also provided the most thorough quote and I hoped that the attention to detail would carry through to the job performed. I was deeply disappointed. The salesman went so far as to capture the fact that I asked that the drip edge be spaced out from the fascia a bit. This spacing prevents the surface tension of the water coming off the roof from pulling it back down the face of the fascia. The first day the team arrived early at the agreed upon time. This was when things started to go awry. The project manager informed me that they would not be able to space the drip edge as agreed because 'that's not how we do things'. Well, here we are in November and we are having the first significant rain since the installation was completed. Water is running down my fascia as shown in the picture. If 'that's not how we do things' then why did the salesman tell me they would do it? After the first day the old roofing had been stripped and the new underlayment had been applied. There were two holes in the deck to be patched. When I went to get the mail that evening I noticed that the two patch panels were still laying in the trailer they left on site. A quick trip into the attic revealed that they had simply covered the holes with underlayment. When I asked the project manager the next day she seemed somewhat embarrassed that the patches had not been installed and assured me that they would 'fix it'. Fixing it meant that they cut the underlayment around the holes to install the patch panels. Now I have cuts in the underlayment. Maybe not a big problem, but if they had done what they were supposed to do in the order that it was supposed to be done then this wouldn't be an issue. On the second day the team began installing the new roofing. All seemed to be going OK. They finished the first side of the hour by about 10 in the morning. By about 3 in the afternoon things were beginning to come together. That's when I noticed the whole team standing around a spot on the back of the house that had been done in the morning. I actually climbed onto the roof to see what they were all looking at. As I approached I observed one of the team use a pry bar to peel back one shingle. When he did I was shocked to see that there were no nails in the shingle underneath it!! He laid it back down as soon as he noticed me, but it was too late. I will never be able to 'unsee' that shingle that was not nailed down. Now I just get to wonder how many more shingles are on the roof that were not nailed down. The owner of the company came to my house to discuss my displeasure. The final insult occurred when he offered the only solution he had available. He offered to 'upgrade' me to the longer warranty at no charge. The problem there is that I asked the salesman to include that warranty when he quoted the job so I should have already had that warranty. Other reviews mention how well they do keeping the job site clean and arriving as scheduled and on time. I will definitely agree with these observations. Unfortunately, they failed to meet these sorts of high standards with regard to the actual work performed. The quality of a new roof cannot be determined the day of the installation. Of course it looks good that day. The real quality is revealed years down the road. The good news is that I had no leaks during the first big rain event. In truth though, I had no leaks before having E&H replace the roof. It remains to be seen if there are other shingles not nailed down and how E&H will stand behind their workmanship in the future. I hope first that I never need to find out, and secondly that they're good to their word. Everyone has a bad now and then and maybe I just got them on one of their bad days. That having been said, I strongly recommend finding another company if you're considering having a new roof installed. read more

We had a new roof put on yesterday 2/26/20 by E & H Roofing. The workers arrived at 8:00 am. They tore off the old roof and replaced it and were done by 6:30 pm. This included their cleanup. They brought magnets and went around our yard and my flowerbeds picking up roofing nails. They did a great job from start to finish. They were hardworking, efficient and friendly. We were so impressed. Prior to hiring them we had called the company and spoke with Genesis. We voiced concerns of our attempting to hire workers around Weiser and had not received any call backs. Genesis assured us we would hear back from her by the end of the day and we did. We can't say enough good things about this company and we will be referring them to anyone who needs a roof. These guys are a joke and not professionals at all. They are in it for the money. There is no quality of workmanship. Or just being a man of their word. Let alone returning calls after the job had started. They are by no means certified and if they are it's a joke. Had a roof replaced 10/2016. They tried to cut corners and pull a fast one thinking I would not check their workmanship. Not to mention took three different attempts to try and make it right. Still was not right but every attempt to try and fix only made things worse and more stressful for me. Here is a list of things wrong: Old vent holes covered with thin sheet metal. Too long of nails used on ranch style home. The fix was grind the nails off and re-paint the soffit (eaves) half ass done. Not to mention damage to all my eaves from grinding and nails coming through. Also damage to the siding from their ladders when doing this. The valley was done with a cut style and is 3-5 inches from the actual valley and it's not even straight. 50 plus (too many to count) of exposed nails on top of roof. Attempted to hide them by putting silicone on them. Ridge vent was uneven, not nailed in some places. The cut in the ridge was 1/4 of inch to 2 plus inches. Later found out neither was right according to install instructions. Where my roof transition and needed flashing they cut the siding 4-5 inches above roof deck and it was so uneven and looked like a kid with no experience cut it. Bent the gutters and did a half ass job cleaning them out. Roof underlayment hanging out and not cut off. I have pictures of all if anyone is interested. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! After contacting at least eight (8) different Nampa/Boise area roofing companies (and receiving a response from only about half of them) I was very fortunate to find E & H Roofing. My initial call was taken by a very professional and caring young woman in the office. "Mandy" took down my information, and I expected it to take days to hear from anyone (like the other contractors I called) but to my surprise one of the owners (Bryan Denham) called me back almost immediately! I explained that my mother was set to close escrow on a home in Nampa in a few days and could not do any repairs until then, however the dilemma was that until the new roof was on, she could not insure the home either. Needless to say, this made me very nervous as my Mother had paid cash for the home. Bryan was calm and reassuring when he told me the roof would be completed as soon as possible, after the close of escrow. We had little choice but to trust the word of a stranger and so we agreed to move forward. Like clockwork---the materials were delivered when Bryan said they would be - the day escrow closed, and the roof was on my Mother's home the following day! I have never seen such an incredible team of professionals. There was not a trace of anything left behind, no trash, no remnants of materials they used, not even a hint contractors were ever there - except the beautiful new roof that is now on my Mom's home! Did I mention the bid for the job was the least expensive of the other FOUR (4) written proposals we received?! I cannot thank Bryan and E&H Roofing enough for the impeccable customer service and workmanship they provide.
