They have always honored their grantees with a smile when necessary. Six years ago we bought one of the first electric recliners on the market...before my severe bout with arthritis. It has been a lifesaver for me, so when my daughter's cancer returned with a vengeance, we went to Allshouse for a lift chair. They had the perfect chair, and were able to deliver it and set it up the next day. It's a life saver for my daughter and we are grateful they are in our town.

Someone will call -for a guy to come measure your counter layout... you will then get a date for installation shortly after this.. Steel City does not charge for faucet holes -(where others do, approx $15 each)...they drill these on site, so as long as you have your faucets when they come to install, you're good! Our counter was on the small side (old Country Farmhouse here) so we picked from remnants when we came... we LOVE our new sparkly counter top !! The installers were professional and helpful, they did a great job ... sealed with "ROCK DOCTOR" granite sealer before they left.... Would recommend !

Because I live in a townhouse, it was going to be an issue due to the large piece of granite that had to be carried up two flights of steps and around corners. The men made a plan and put rugs everywhere to make sure there was no damage bringing the large piece in. Success! There was also a seam that Jeremiah made perfect. I'm not exaggerating when I say you almost can't feel it. I highly recommend Youngstown Granite. Jackie was very helpful in helping me select granite and the installers I had were courteous, knowledgeable and careful.

He replaced parts that were missing and/or severely damaged and assured us our machine is in good shape otherwise -- this was good to know because it came with our house and we weren't sure the age/condition of it. I will say I was surprised that we didn't receive a quote for the repairs needed, just a bill when the work was complete. This might have been due to parts breaking as the technician looked at our machine, but next time I'd ask for an estimate before agreeing to work.

When our range hood died, I immediately called Farragher's as I've had such good luck in the past. The owner himself came out to look at it and immediately said, "they don't make that part any more", went out to his truck, confirmed it wasn't made anymore and proceeded to tell me I owed him $72 for the service call. The problem was with a switch that senses when the hood is open - he immediately assumed it was bad, never opened the unit to see if it could be cleaned or look to see if there were any other options. We had a handyman friend come over to look at it, he took the cover panel off, tried cleaning it to no avail but immediately offered up a solution to "jumper" the switch to get it working for us. While I don't expect Farragher's to MacGyver the solution as our friend did, it would have been nice if he had actually made an attempt at fixing it. I could and should have pushed the issue but the tech was wearing a mask that was too big and kept sliding off his nose and didn't make an effort to keep his distance from me without me asking him to step back so I went ahead and let him leave. I really hope this was a one off issue and future visits will be up to their usual great service.

We determined it wasn't the washer (it was a drain hose issue). But after he left the washer wouldn't work at all. I panicked a bit and called in and texted asking them to send him back. The man I got on the phone in the office was a D-bag! Instead of saying "He's already on another job and let me see if I can help" he replied with "He's already in Canton, I can't just send him back. He's working on a $15,000 appliance job. He's an expert on those machines. He'll have to call you" It wasn't only WHAT he said, but HOW he said it. Super dismissive. Well thanks for letting me know I'm not important because my washer wasn't worth $15,000. Dean called me back and explained that I had to unplug and reset the controls and everything was fine. Why couldn't the guy on the phone just say "He's at another site, but I will find out what's wrong and call you right back or send someone else" Dean you were great, your manager....not so much.
