I have a nice story to tell everyone about Haney's Furniture. We have bought many living room sets…read morefrom Haney's over the years but yesterday they showed what they stand for in this community. My husband is in a wheelchair and last year we bought a new recliner for him at Haney's that will not only recline but will lift him up to stand. Yesterday morning when I woke up my husband informed me that his chair would not move. It totally quit. I called the chair repair guy who works for Haney's. He came, looked at the chair and determined it needed a part he didn't have and he would order it but it would take about a week to receive it. Even a rush order would be next week. I was frantic because my husband has to sleep in this recliner. I didn't know what to do. The repairman told me to call Haney's because they would be able to help me. I called but I was shocked at the level of service they provided for us. One of the owners personally called me back and told me they would loan us a recliner while they repaired ours. I was so thankful for that. Nobody does this kind of thing anymore. The owner told me that they stand behind what they sell and they sure did. They not only loaned us a chair while ours is being repaired but they delivered it to us within an hour and a half. He also told me the chair would be repaired at no charge. I am so grateful for Haney's Furniture and so glad I chose them when we needed a chair for my husband. They truly do stand behind what they sell and they were so kind to us as well. This is why we buy locally and we chose Haney's and I am grateful for their commitment to their customers and standing behind what they sell. You just don't find this kind of service everywhere. If you want good quality products and service shop Haney's.

I wish other small business owners in New Castle had their understanding of the importance of merchandising...the store is well laid out, and attractive. Their items are lovely--unlike some of the local junk stores that call themselves 'antique' stores. I frequently pop in because they get new things in regularly. I learned a lesson about this place: If you see something you like, get it. I waited a couple days before making a decision and the item I wanted was sold when I went back. When my folks moved here from out of town, I was able to furnish their entire apartment with beautiful *real* furniture from North Hill Antiques. Their prices are generally reasonable; some are out of my budget-zone...but, they seem to know the value of the pieces. And, they will deliver if you are nearby.
