He'd worked with one of our friends previously, and so we knew he'd do a great job for our project. We also loved Greenberg's integrated approach. The architect, constructions, design and management was all done by Greenberg. This meant that the project from top to bottom was aligned with the team actually doing the construction work. My top priorities were 1) a modern home design 2) a job done with high quality 3) low stress. Ohad / Greenberg helped deliver on all of these aspects in spades. The last thing I wanted to do was have to coordinate with flaky contractors, have to re-do low quality work after a long day at work. Ohad kept the project on track and handled all the hassle of dealing with subcontractors & inspectors. Greenberg probably won't be the cheapest contractor you'll talk to, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Quality work, up to code, and no drama is well worth the cost. Ohad worked with us throughout the project to consider different budget options, and gave candid advice about where he thought the budget would be best spent. Overall, highly recommend. I was referred by a friend and have put multiple friends in touch with Greenberg for their projects as well. When I visited the Greenberg showroom, the team presented their design with all my samples ready to view in-person. The logistical side was equally impressive. They handled the entire San Mateo permitting process. Once construction began, Ohad and I stayed in constant contact via text and phone to address any issues or decisions that needed to be made. He also kept me up to date with many photos of the construction. Everyone warned me that a project like this would take well over a year and go way over budget, but Greenberg completed construction in just 10 months and kept change orders to a minimum. All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. He also didn't pitch me anything unnecessary and walked me through everything and his logic for doing things. I am happy to say after the heavy rains - no water in my basement. We ended up doing concrete around the parameter with drains a connected to the roof. Lastly, he did it within the timeframe that he promised - I think even a day or two before the deadline I gave him. I would hire him again.

The pace of the job was very smooth right off the bat and only picked up once the work started. During the design phase the team including Liane were very pleasant to work with. Liane was extremely patient and helpful while she met us at two design stores to assist us in choosing colors and layouts. Once the work started, we were very impressed with the site prep as Eli delivered on keeping as much dust out of the the rest of the house. He made sure crew setup plastic sheeting throughout the whole bottom floor with zipper doors included so we could still access the living room and upstairs. From here, we were very pleased with the pace of things. Eli and his team are very eager to work and do not make you wait. The demo happened very quickly and before we knew it we were moving very quickly through rough electrical and plumbing. The rest of the job went very smoothly and ended up being ahead of schedule. Not a bad result in the end, but had a few problems getting there…read more When I bought this house recently, my window sill a was covered with some kind of spongy caulk-like material, and it was deterioraing. I was looking for someone who could rebuild the sill before I went out of town for two weeks. EM came out quick and got to work. One of the workers asked if they could use metal on the sides of the work area instead of stucco because the sides were also composed of the same caulk-like material. Based on that, I said ok. This was on a Friday and they said they would be back on Monday to finish the job. When I arrived back from vacation two weeks later, the job was unfinished and leaking. It took another two weeks to get them back out to finish, even after letting them know it was leaking. They didn't cover the area so I had to go on the roof and put a tarp over it. They also left the window trim sitting on the sill soaking wet. Later after reviewing the before photos and talking to my other contractor I found out that that the sides were indeed stucco. I feel like they mislead me to take a shortcut, despite our contract stating the sides would be stucco.
