Mike came for the first round to work with our contractor to discuss the needs of the new kitchen, including GFI updates, kitchen island outlets and pendants, new LED recessed overhead lights, and under cabinet lighting and floor heating. They also made recommendations based on new codes coming into play over the next couple of years so that we would be compliant. That kind of attention to detail was most welcome. John, the Master Electrician who came to the house later, easily guided two young apprentices over 2 days of full-on work. John was amazing, listening to my questions, assisting me in last minute decisions, and making certain the customer was happy. John was very insistent in making sure we were happy and pleased with their work. His knowledge and background was priceless while I worked through the list of my wants and needs, he was very patient too, as I asked endless questions. They put in long days and protected our home while working cleanly and efficiently. It is rare to find such superior expertise these days, and I am grateful that Daigle Electric is willing to bring on young people into the trade and teach them properly.

His team, led by John, returned a few weeks later to provide the service. We had outdoor lighting, a transfer switch and a tv electrical box installed. They were so professional and fixed recent work done by a different supplier. It's so challenging to find someone to trust but now we did. Thanks!!

I had a bucket list of items that I needed help with. I got ridiculous quotes from other electricians, $2200, $2600, $2500. Marty came by, looked at the job and had decided the best course of action what to just do Time and Materials at his hourly rate. It saved him from underestimating/overestimating and I could manage the costs fairly. Items completed: 1. Deck Post light caps: Caseta switch installation. Also diagnosing some incorrect connections (I had made incorrect connections previously). Wiring an incomplete LV wiring run to complete a 'missing' section of lights. 2. Under deck puck lights: 15 Amp box and 2nd Caseta switch installation powering puck lights 3. Troubleshooting Magnitude MLV Transformer (found bad caseta switch and worked with Lutron support to diagnose and get replacement) 4. Installed heat tape on troublesome (ice/snow) roof section I got everything done for roughly $600.00. (I bought all the materials in advance ~$100 worth and did some "brain dead" stuff myself (like running 14/2 UF wire through existing conduit). In any event, I was thrilled with T&M as was he. I believed I saved roughly $1500 by spending an hour or two myself and having Marty come in for the rest. I think I found my new 'go to' electrician in my area. Fair, honest and hard working.

We were tight on cash and he took the time to set up the quote/ project in phases. I loved the long term plan* with EVERYTHING priced down to the penny, NO SURPRISES! Now how refreshing is that? It's been about a year since he finished "phase one" and we've gone all out ADHD on our home improvement projects, but when we finally make it back to finishing our smaller electrical projects, Marty's our man! *disclaimer: OBVIOUSLY prices will change as time passes! I will fully expect Marty to re-calculate the bottom line as we move through our future projects. THE POINT IS, you'll know upfront!

We verbally agreed in detail prior to start the scope of work would include motion sensing bulbs to the extent he had allotted $20/bulb and if I was not pleased with the time delay of the bulbs we could explore other options. I had originally asked for 2 transmitters to a receiver as I had this set up years before and was pleased with this. Contractor thought motion bulbs a better way to go. - [ ] Verbal quote to complete project was $1000-$2500. Paid $3590. Although I was disappointed with the increase he did have to rent a trencher for $450 along with some extra conduit. I was okay with this given unseen circumstances. - [ ] Contractor requires upfront payment in full at least one day prior to showing up at sight. That's fine if you have a history but never having worked with someone before is a big ask in my opinion - [ ] Contractor states in contract master electritions ( plural). I do believe helper had some basic knowledge but he certainly was no master electrician as he required continual guidance and direction. I was billed the full master electrician's rate. - [ ] Contract States the energize 6 3-bulb posts lights. We verbally agree in detail prior to start the scope of work would include motion detecting light bulbs at his suggestion. To the extent, the contractor said he had allotted $20/bulb for the 18 bulbs. He further stated if I was not pleased with the minimal time delay we could explore other options. - [ ] Asked contractor to send me link to the bulb he chose prior to purchasing as I was doing my own research. He did not do so. Helper showed up with bulbs to install. I immediately told him bulb with not designed for the intended application. Explained the bulb used for overhead lighting that detects motion below where the bulb points downward. In my application the bulb points skyward detecting no motion below. Consequently of no value for ground motion in drive or parking areas. Helper not convinced. Tried one bulb. Light didn't activate until climbing the ladder to do so. He was finally convinced and called owner for direction and requested I speak with owner so I could better explain. Owner busy and would call me later. Never got call back. - [ ] Numerous calls and texts to resolve issues went unanswered. - [ ] Requested owner reimburse me for bulbs, adapters and 1 hour labor totaling $600. No response. Had he done so we could have moved on and I would have hired another electrician. I would have never written this review. - [ ] I have tried to be fair. Attempted to resolve amicably yet any attempt to do so has been met with total silence. I tend to be overly trusting. I suppose a character flaw but has mostly served me well in the past. Lastly it should be qnoted. I wrote this review over a week ago. I then sent a copy with both email and text. I thought it only fair the contractor had time to review. If anything was unfactual or inaccurate we could discuss prior to me posting. I've waited a week for a response and have heard nothing back

They ended up billing me for 40 man hours to put in 13 smoke detectors. That's over 3 hours per detector. The when I said something Will said if he did it by himself it would have taken him 1 hour per detector. That's 13 hours. I paid over $3000.00 for the job. Then I got a real quote of $1281.00 for the same job on the otherside of my 2 family. If I wanted the 3 stooges to work on my house I would have called them! I will never ever call them or recommend them again. Avoid them!

It's really not that complex...one outlet, wire (approximately 75 feet) and a breaker to be installed in my backup generator breaker box. Add in labor and the cost comes in at around $600 to $700 with a generous portion for labor. Since the price quote was so ridiculous from Heritage, I decided to call Mr. Electric for a second price quote. Thank God I got the second price quote! Mr. Electric came in at $533.00 for the same exact job! To be fair, I know everything is more expensive right now and labor is hard to find. Additionally, these companies are extremely busy but I have no use for companies that are price gouging their Customers just because they can. I also have a long memory when it comes to these companies because as most people know the economy is cyclical and business isn't always great. I will remember NOT to use Heritage when times are tough...Mr. Electric has me for life...good times and bad. I've done electrical work and I did price this job out before seeking professional services. I know the approximate cost for parts and I usually double that cost for labor. That's how I came up with the $600 to $700 estimate. The $1300 price tag Heritage quoted is just obnoxious. Shame on you Heritage! Mr. Electric was easy to schedule, on time and very professional. The $533 they quoted was extremely reasonable. My advice, steer clear of Heritage and checkout Mr. Electric.
