My primary doc referred me to Dr. Jue for my diabetes. It may be that his dialogue style, but he does not seem to know how to relate patient's question. All the questions I had regarding my symptoms, his response was that he was not an expert on tongue, urine or etc. At one point, I told him why then I came to see him for medical advice. I did not feel like I got professional advice on my condition. Additionally, his office messed up my medication. Without thoroughly checking with the insurance- not submitting a prior authorization, my insurance denied the medication. I had to call Dr. Jue's office, pharmarcy and insurance. The front desk kept saying they were working on it. Right. Now they are not even answering my call. Leaving me without medication. I do not recommend Dr. Jue for diabetes. read more

This is regarding the VERY unprofessional and uncaring office staff. Can't rate Dr. Jue because I can't even get an appointment!! I have a lump that is growing on my thyroid. Is it something serious? Cancer? Can it be something simple and taken care of with medication? I don't know.... Attempted to book appointment - no appointments available for 2 months. The office told me my Medicare coverage was not the primary. I also have supplemental medical insurance in addition to Medicare. After calling several times for 2 weeks to schedule appointment and explaining confirmation that Medicare has confirmed and is my primary insurance and Dr. Jue could not deny seeing me, they still would not schedule an appointment even tho their schedule appointments are 2 months out. I mentioned that Medicare advised me that they could not deny scheduling me, and was told "we are not denying you an appointment, we cannot schedule an appointment until the billing office clears insurance. Do I have an appointment yet? No, I still have to wait for the office billing manager to "look" at my coverage. It's been 2 weeks! read more

Doctor is ok. But mosts staff are lack of experiences. I have to call 2 whole weeks, every work days, 2-3 three time in the morning, and another 3 times in the afternoon to follow up to confirm they successfully put the prescription in the CVS. 1. For the first weeks, basically nobody responses the phones. On Friday, they told they will send the prescription . 2. Following week, I finally got chances to talk to another staff, they said they all got covid19 and all work from home. I asked them to call pharmacy instead.(BTW, work from home means never pick up phone??) 3. Another three days, still no notifications from pharmacy. Call doc's office again. 4. Talked to pharmacy, I have been told they send prescription to two different pharmacy at the same time. Insurance is gating the processing for me to pick up. At day 14, I still cannot pick up my prescription. Please prevent this doctor. read more

Don't be put off by the no-frills location of this doctor. He is one of the most competent, experienced and knowledgeable doctors there is in the South Bay. His front office is also so so kind ... they prioritize on doing what's right. If you don't have a primary care referral but have other reports that justify a visit, they will take you in. I first visited Dr. Jue about 10 years ago after I had two different PCPs take the same thyroid test and recommend two opposite avenues. Dr. While my TSH and T4 levels were just subclinical, Dr. Jue tested for thyroid antibodies and therefore diagnosed hashimotos. This is what determined my treatment moving forward. Now, 10 yrs later, I've visited him again when my tests vs. symptoms seem conflicting. He is a very good listener, takes his time and explain things well (he anticipated my questions before I even asked), and doesn't hesitate on diagnostics- even did an ultrasound in the office on the spot. Dr. Jue is also very clear about what is in vs. out of his scope in a non-judgemental way. He is an M.D. not a naturopath. It's been 5 months since I saw Dr. Jue for my thyroid issue. I have never heard a word or received the "official" report after having an ultrasound done in the hospital; which, by the way, was charged at $662!! After my insurance paid their portion, my remaining balance was $291.20. And this all because, for some reason, Dr. Jue was unable to do the ultrasound on the machine sitting in his office, next to his examining table in the exam room where we met with him. I still have a nodule on my thyroid of unknown size, which makes swallowing difficult at times. Due to a change in employment, I was without insurance until about 1 week ago. So now I can find out what this thing in my throat is and if I need to have it removed. read more

Dr. Dyron has been my endocrinologist for the past 3-4 years but given the mild nature of my issue, I see him about once a year. He's a sharp knowledgeable polite doctor and unlike so many doctors out there, he actually respects empowered patients (who have opinions of their own, who want to to understand why this and not that...etc). Of course he will still state his own personal recommendation/opinion, but will at least listen to you and give you the CHOICE (so long as what you're asking for is not dangerous!). I enjoy learning from him and I feel that our interactions could be categorized as "collaboration". His staff is very polite and flexible and will always return my calls if I leave a voice message. I have been under Dr. Jue's care for a couple of years now. He is fantastic. A little on the youngish side, he's still very knowledgeable and skillful. He is a very good communicator. He welcomes and answers questions. He doesn't rush appointments. He demonstrates a willingness to consider alternatives to standard treatments. My impression is he's very up on the current literature and practices. I'm confident I'm in good hands. His front office is very efficient. They schedule well so I've never had to wait past my appointment time. A single complaint I have is the setup of the office. You are weighed and your blood pressure taken within earshot of the patients in the waiting room (they're about 18 feet away). Parking can be a challenge. Dr. Jue's office shares a lot with O'Connor Hospital so there's quite a bit of jockeying for parking spaces going on. However, the couple of drawbacks are FAR outweighed by the quality of Dr. Jue's care. read more

Very bad experience with front desk. They asked me to pay upfront deposit even after I provided screenshots of my insurance account showing that I have more than enough money to cover my deductible. I asked them to call my insurance directly to verify the information. They called and my insurance confirmed that there is enough fund in my HRA. My insurance will use the HRA fund to pay providers directly to cover deductible. But the front desk said that they need to receive the money immediately instead of going through insurance claim process. I have been using the same insurance for years and saw many doctors, labs. Other providers are very clear about HRA and never ask me to pay deposit whenever there is fund available. I hate the hassle to pay upfront and then try to get refund 1-2 months later. Dr Jue's staff should educate themselves and keep their minds open. read more

I started with Dr Jue this spring. My endocrinologist of 15 years was getting very hard to deal with in terms of office staff and appointments. Yelp had many good reviews for Dr Jue so I double checked and he is board certified and has almost 20 years experience as endocrinologist. This was very important to me as my PCP totally misdiagnosed my thyroid dosage for several years. Dr Jue's front office very professional. Paperwork well managed. My Husband is type 1 diabetic, we made an appointment with Dr. Jue because we were very unhappy with his other Endocrinologist. Dr Jue was incredible. He did a routine thyroid examination (which no other Endo had ever done on him!), and Dr. Jue found a tiny lump so deeply hidden in his thyroid that it was impossible for us to even feel. Dr. Jue found it with his fingers, did an ultra sound right there in his office, and two days later did a biopsy, also in his office (how convenient is that?). Turns out it was cancer! He had surgery two weeks later, removed the thyroid along with some lymphnodes that also had cancer. The prognosis is awesome, it's all gone now! Dr. Jue saved my husband's life for sure! I have been seeing Dr. Dyron Jue for my thyroid problem since 2011, I see him once in 2 months. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in his treatment. He considers my opinion and doesn't force treatment options I don't prefer. He answers all my questions very patiently even though I repeat questions in my visits. Sometimes if we call him for any problem, he definitely calls back on the same day even after his office timings. I was given a referral from my general practitioner to see another endocrinologist but after checking reviews of the other doctor, I decided on Dr. Jue. So glad I did! The staff was terrific and very professional. She was welcoming and a delight to be greeted by. The office is standard but neat. When I saw Dr. Jue, I explained to him of my personal problems and bad eating habits. Not once did he chastised me like other doctors would do; he treated me as if I was a friend rather than a patient. He taught me to check food labels and what to look for. Also, gave me suggestions on how to lower my glucose by in-home diets. He was knowledgable, kind, courteous and he LISTENED! He is on the conservative side of medical training. There was not any quick prescription changes or additions; he likes the patient to try and do our home remedies before making any hasty changes. I will see him back in 3mos to see if I was a good girl or a bad girl....hahaha. Overall, I would rate Dr. Jue one of the most genuine people around. I take my mom to Dr. Jue, he is thorough and has a very calm demeanor. He takes extra time to make sure she is understanding what he wants her to do. He even will write down step by step what she needs to do. The office staff is caring and helpful. He will recommend other physicians if she has a problem that he doesn't handle. This doctors office gets one star only because the doctor was nice but the office manager and billing department really get 0 stars. Let me share my story. We set an appointment with the office and when we showed up they got our insurance info and we decided to let them call the insurance to get pre- approval for a procedure and we were told to come back in one hour. When we came back they said it was all good and covered by insurance ,so we went ahead with the procedure. They billed us for the whole amount $500 and quickly sent us to collection without hesitation. Now we are getting hounded with calls from an aggressive collection agency and getting threatened with ruining our credit. We placed many calls to the office and all they said that they made a mistake when they called our insurance. They made the mistake and then made us out to be the criminals . We called and offered to split the bill since they made the mistake and we sincerely believe that we owe them $$$ for their services (we could have gone to valley medical for free had they told us we have to pay the full amount in advance). We left many messages but no one calls back. They don't want to face their mistake. Very shady practices with no regard for patients. I can't believe how they are not accepting full or even partial responsibility . Stay away and find another clinic as this office will find a way to mess with your bill. Dr. Jue is one of the best doctors I have ever seen in my life. It's only been about a month, but given then nature of what's going on with my thyroid, I've had to see him 3 times and consult on the phone. He is extremely patient, knowledgeable, and responsive. I recently relocated to the Bay Area and started seeing Dr. Jue based on positive reviews on Yelp. I'd like to chime in with another. He is very detailed in his explanations vs. wanting to rush you in and out. I've been hypothyroid for a few years now, but still a bit sluggish on my medication. Dr. Jue brought a different medication to the table for consideration, thoroughly explained the pros/cons and gave me information to make a decision on a move to that medication which is working out well. On a recent follow up exam, he noticed that there was swelling of the thyroid that wasn't even on the left and right side and immediately did an ultrasound in his office on the spot. This prevented me from having to go get further imagery or other follow up when the sonogram showed no issues. He's thoughtful and agreeing with other reviews on his communication skills. Wanted to schedule major surgery to remove parathyroid glands based on a diagnosis later proved completely false. Also gave a false diagnosis of Alzheimer's and completely ignored symptoms of cancer later diagnosed in the emergency room after acute renal failure. read more
