This doctor/place is a scam. Anuradhika saw me and wife for a total of 15 mins max. She didn't even touch either of us, not even a blood pressure and they charge 529$ for my wife and ~300$ for me and this is after the insurance paid the rest of the amount. We tried to follow up to get detailed report of what are the charges for and they would not provide them to us. It's ridiculous how they can do that. read more

I'd like to say this woman miss diagnosed me but I can't even say she diagnosed me at all. She told me I was fine but ran no bloodwork to check and also kept pushing weight loss drugs at me when that was not why I was there. She was extremely dismissive and always rushing out of my appointments in less than 5 min. She repeatedly told me it wasn't my thyroid and I was fine when she never even checked it. Turns out I was extremely hypothyroid , and had been for years if she had even bothered to look at my previous bloodwork . I also have Hashimoto's. So thank you Dr Kandula for making me sick for yet another year , gaining an additional 30lbs , and having to more time and money to seek out additional medical help. read more

I rarely write reviews but this one deserves it: if you are on a HDHP (High Deductible Health Plan), beware because you can be charged outrageous amount of money for services that only a year earlier costed a fraction of what they are now charging to post-pandemic. An ultrasound cost went from ~$100 in 2020 to ~$430 in 2021. If you think it's a clerical error, think again: after you contact the billing department, don't hold your breath to receive a timely response. They basically tell you Stanford is a prestigious institution and they can charge what they want and what's allowed. Shameful! read more

I can confirm the comments from another reviewers - I too had a terrible experience. She seemed determined to treat me rudely, didn't listen to anything I had to say --- in fact she ignored and disregarded valuable patient history that I was telling her. She seemed in a rush and did not spend longer than 8 minutes with me, even though I was a new patient at my very first appointment with her. :-/ If you're looking for someone to listen or spend a few moments to help with a diagnosis, I can unequivocally confirm that Dr Kandula would be a terrible choice. I was shocked by the quick, disrespectful and dismissive service. After my appointment I went online to confirm her background. Turns out she wasn't educated in the US - perhaps standards for bedside manner or creating a positive experience are different where she is from. I do not recommend her, she doesn't seems to have good experience. Mainly she will give theoretical answers, which anyone can read from Wikipedia/internet. I kept asking whats the impact as per your experience and she kept saying studies show that this is the impact and that made me nervous. I drove one hour for my appointment only to find out the office had moved to a different location. I was never told about the move and after calling to notify them I was at the old location they said I could still be seen. I drove over to the new location checked in and was waiting for over 40min I saw people that got there after me go in and out. I went up and asked when I was going to be seen and she said when they have an opening. I was never advised ahead of time about the excessive wait. I got a $225 bill for a 10min consultation and blood draw. I've had thyroid issues for 5 years, this terrible doctor said I was normal and refused to help me get medication or find out why my labs drastically changed over a years time. Wish there was a way to do negative stars. Office visit took over 1.5 hours where you only see the doctor 5 minutes. She switched to Stanford the day I arrived and no longer accepted my insurance, but still claimed there would be no problem for today. I would still need to find another specialist if I had any other issues. Was told the 40$ deducible and insurance portion would cover everything, but for the 5 minutes I was still billed 160$ (after insurance paid). To top it all off, because she didn't write the letter to my insurance for surgery clearance, follow up calls after follow up calls, she delayed my surgery 2 months and I had to go pay to see another doctor. More money to another doctor, time off of work, I should be billing her! Avoid this fraud at all costs, not worth your time. read more

Dr. Kandula was referred to me by my primary doctor at the time; her handling of me as a patient was disgraceful. Her final diagnoses? "Go see a therapist." I switched to a much more professional doctor who takes her job very seriously since, and this new doctor found a myriad of deficiencies and endocrine disorders from some simple blood tests. Even though Dr. Kandula took blood for tests, these obvious deficiencies and endocrine disorders went over her head. Was it too much to ask of an endocrine doctor? She just didn't check for any of the basic and obvious things. And when she couldn't find anything? "Everything checks out. You should go see a therapist instead." And she sent me walking out the door with a chronic endocrine disorder, totally oblivious. Terrible doctor experience, the front tried to overcharge me for my visit. When I questioned the charges, they were "readjusted". Take my advise, do yourself a favor, and find a doctor who will take your health as seriously as you do. The other endocrinologists we have consulted with seemed to only be well versed in diabetes and not willing to take a complicated case on. Dr Kandula was nice but it didn't seem like she was giving me personalized care so it felt like my apts where useless she would refill my RX and tell me the lab results which I could already check online. Idk about other but I want to feel like my doctor cares about me and I never really felt that with this doctor. Her front office staff was really rude and unwelcoming on top of that. I strongly recommend to stay away from this doctor. It was the worst experience ever. I will find out why my primary doctor recommended her. I went in for a thyroid nodule examination and a possible biopsy. Luckily she does not perform those on the first visit. I would not have trusted her! I waited for her for about 45 minutes in a tiny, sad and not so clean patient room. Then her assistant showed up saying that she was going to fill in for her while she was with another patient. She asked me routine questions, listen to my heart bit with a stethoscope and examined my neck to check if she could feel my nodule. All this performed while I was sitting on a chair. I never made it to the examination table. She than left and came back 10 minutes later accompanied by Doctor Kandula. Her visit lasted about 8 minutes, in which she performed the exact same examination as her assistant. Then she briefly went through her assistant's notes, crossed her arms while standing, and asked me if I had any questions. Her pose clearly communicated she was in a hurry and did not have any intention to sit down and patiently explain anything about thyroid nodules, how she would eventually perform a biopsy procedure, or what the outcomes of that procedure might foretell regarding my future prognosis or treatment. The quality of care as pertaining to my thyroid disease was of very low quality. My thyroid antibodies levels should have also been checked so as to figure out if my thyroid gland is being attacked and the thyroid medication adjusted accordingly. She never adjusted levels she did not do any specialized medical care for my specific medication. I arrived seeing her with an old dose from a prior doctor she just had me stay on that same dose never adjusted doses. Never informed me of where my levels were never addressed the fatigue and issues I'm still suffering from with the thyroid disease. So overall not specialized care and on the last issue not a friendly doctor to talk with of deal with she got disrespectful towards me as well. Her level of care does not meet the quality of a specialist. Also levoxythrine is horrible. Every medi-cal doctor insists on it only because of a contract with drug companies I assume. It sucks! There's many other choices. And I'll say from personal experience I've seen at best about a 15% improvement in my energy levels with this medication but it gives a lot of unwanted side effects like depression and fatigue and anxiety and a ton of hair loss on my scalp. I honestly can say I hardly see any improvements with this medication if at all. read more

If you need an excellent Endocrinologists then Dr. Kandula is the person you should see. If you are having problems with your glucose, Dr Kandula can get you on track. I am a caner patient and was having some very serious problems as it related to my chemo treatment. My sugar was out of control and my PCP wasn't helping much. One visit to Dr Kandula and things immediately started getting better. She put me on a program that works and works well with my chemo treatment. Dr. Kandula is very personable and her mannerism conveys a genuine interest in helping her patients. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Again, if you would like to get your glucose/sugar under control or heading in the right direction you should see Dr. Kandula; this is the best place to go. Very nice office. read more
