They have some great items that have tofu. Come at lunch. It has some good specials. These are a lot cheaper and portions are still pretty big too. Good vegetarian choices. They have quite a few. I had the Szechuan Bean Curd. It's about $7 for the lunch special. This comes with a pop or a salad or whatever else they let you. On this the tofu was somewhat crispy. This wasn't hard but it could be chewed and not overcooked. It probably is the best Chinese around here. It has very good prices. This will save a lot while saving good taste. read more

My family frequents this restaurant fairy often because the food is usually very good. Tonight, however we ordered Christmas dinner for our family and half of our food was burnt. We ordered 2 orders of fried dumplings and they were both burnt. My dinner was supposed to be chicken cashew combo with fried rice. I absolutely LOVE this place!! I am a vegetarian and I order the tofu and it is incredibly tasty. It is rare to find an Asian restaurant that even offers vegetarian options, let alone make it perfectly. The portions are big and last me two meals, affordable for a college student and so so good. Dynasty is our go-to for many reasons. It is quick, it is affordable, it has dishes that go beyond the Americanized version of Chinese food, and the proprietors are always welcoming. It also has secondary indicators of quality ie there are always Chinese students eating there, testifying to the quality and authenticity of the cuisine. They are also quick, they get the takeout order right so no unpleasant surprises when you get home (can't be said of a few other places in town). There are many different Chinese restaurants to pick from in Athens, but this one is absolutely amazing. The beef lo mein literally smells like garlic bread, and you get a TON for what you pay. Tips: If hard on cash go for the lunch menu. It is only about 7$ with taxes and you also get a soup. Authentic Chinese, cheap, large portion. Ignore the ambience. I and my husband tried it on the recommendation of a few Chinese friends and liked the food. We weren't much hungry and ordered the lunch menu. I went for the sesame chicken while my husband went for chicken with garlic sauce (mix of chicken and veggies). For the soup we ordered egg soup out of 3 options which also had the wonton soup. The egg soup was raw egg and we didn't enjoy it much because my husband is not fond of raw eggs. The main course was a plate with half chicken and half rice (we went for fried rice out of the two options of white and fried rice). The chicken was soft and amazing. The fried rice also had a lovely taste and included sautéed onions and egg. The ambience is reasonably good. The meal was satisfying. read more

The food is in good Cantonese style, but only in Cantonese style.Other dishes (Szechuan or Northern style) are not authentic. I like their eggplant in particular. The service can be better. First, the lady started collecting dishes before we finished. We had to tell her that we had not finished. She seemed to assume that as long as we did not work on a dish for 2-3minutes, then we did not want it. No... People took a rest or had conversations when they had dinner. Second, I was told (both times I dined there) in particular that I should tip and tips were not included in the bill. I understand some Chinese people do not pay tips and I know that you can see that I am Chinese. But people always say that if you treat others in a way merely based on their race or nationality, it is racism. So, please reserve your judgment on me after I pay my bill, which is not that difficult. read more

I have a lot of fun trying different dishes on their Chinese menu which is a lot like gambling since only the dish name is in English. The roast duck, cilantro chicken, chili beef, and beef chow fun, pea shoots, spicy cabbage to name a few are some of our favorites. One star taken off because most often we get the one waitress there who struggles the most with English. We always have lots of menu questions, requests and special orders and she often becomes visibly frustrated and tends to treat us roughly. I lived in Carriage Hill Apartments while in Athens, and Dynasty was/is just down the road, within easy walking distance (which always made me feel better about the imminent take-out I was about to eat..). I only ever got takeout, but the seating area looked nice. The food is excellent. I'm fairly boring in that I basically just like tofu/vegetables/rice (and spicy!), and I was always able to order exactly what I liked/wanted. I definitely recommend. read more

The food here is great. I love the option of having traditional Chinese food and it was all very interesting. The peaking duck was my favorite, it comes in 3 courses. The chefs were on point. The stars were taken off because i always get this one older waitress thats very rude. Shes the reason i dont go there anymore. Shes what i would define as disgusting. One day i came in for a late lunch while she was eating. When she came to greet us she had food in her mouth and kept on talking. Every time i come in shes always snorting and when she sneezes its always in her hand. I usually dont see her wash her hands either. She always gets annoyed when i ask her the simplest questions like is there any way to have rice in a separate plate instead of together on one. Also when i ask her ab certain dishes she grabs my menu and points at the dish. Honestly whats the point of that.
