Worst service. Very rude and no customer service being a tour company. Pick another tour.

It takes longer where you want to go but I enjoyed the breeze and saved me from aches and pains. The ride is $6 and it's an all day pass. It starts just before 10 am and I think it ends at 8 pm. You can buy the pass from the bus driver in cash. They don't accept credit cards and they prefer exact change only. If you have the JCB credit card, your ride is free. Don't lose your ticket since you have to present it when boarding.

Our family of eight started the day having an absolutely wonderful experience with Waikiki Trolley…read more We were greeted by the sweetest woman who helped us purchase our passes, followed by a genuinely kind Pink Line driver. Our Blue Line driver was equally wonderful--fun, friendly, and everything we hoped to experience in Hawaii. Unfortunately, by the end of the day, that experience had completely changed. The behavior of two employees was so unnecessarily rude, hostile, and unprofessional that our family decided we would no longer support Waikiki Trolley for the remainder of our vacation (7 more days). I am specifically requesting that management REVIEW THE SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE from when our family boarded at Waikiki Shopping Plaza, and ESPECIALLY when we exited at the Ilikai stop at approximately 6:06 PM. PLEASE REVIEW THIS FOOTAGE. Although the employee, Char, had already been unnecessarily aggressive toward us while boarding, the harassment escalated after I politely asked for her name and my father photographed the trolley number to identify the vehicle when filing a complaint. It was only after Char realized we intended to report her behavior that she deliberately EXITED THE TROLLEY to confront and harass me further. We were already approximately ten feet away, walking away without arguing or engaging with her. Yet she left her vehicle, called after us, and demanded that we return to photograph the posted rules. PLEASE REVIEW THIS SPECIFIC INTERACTION. Char chose to escalate the situation after we had already left. Her behavior felt like blatant, unwarranted harassment. It was uncomfortable, intimidating, and left me flabbergasted. Why would an adult working in hospitality pursue customers who had already walked away simply because they might report her behavior? Regardless of the original disagreement, there is absolutely no justification for an employee to exit a trolley to continue confronting a family that has already left. I ask management to preserve and review this footage before making any determination. Our first negative encounter occurred when I approached a driver sitting outside an out-of-service trolley. He was the only employee nearby, so I politely asked where we should wait for the Pink Line. He wouldn't even look up. When we repeated the question, he appeared irritated and sarcastically pointed toward a pole, saying something like, "See the pole? Find the next one." The pole had no identifying information. We were tourists asking a reasonable question. His rude, sarcastic response was completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, what happened next was worse. We walked to the next pole, as instructed, only to be yelled at by Char for standing incorrectly. When I apologized and explained that we didn't realize we needed to stand elsewhere, she raised her voice AGAIN, saying she was telling us NOW that we needed to stand against the wall. We were NOT blocking the walkway. We were standing at the pole another employee had directed us toward. Even after we boarded, Char continued aggressively reprimanding us for not standing against the wall. Other passengers were visibly shocked, and several even apologized for her behavior. Throughout our approximately 50-minute ride, people stood at poles rather than against walls at EVERY stop, yet Char never yelled at or reprimanded anyone else. Not one person. Why was our family treated differently? I cannot say with certainty what motivated Char's behavior, but being singled out raised genuine concerns about whether race played a role. That is incredibly uncomfortable while visiting a place known for its hospitality and aloha spirit. We were not causing a problem. We were simply asking questions and following the instructions we had been given. A simple explanation delivered with basic courtesy would have resolved everything. Our family had planned to continue purchasing trolley transportation throughout our stay. Instead, we decided to forego additional rides and rent a vehicle. We would rather spend our money elsewhere than risk another encounter like this. Your wonderful employees earlier in the day demonstrated how positive this experience COULD have been. Their kindness made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, your evening employees completely overshadowed that experience. This was not a minor inconvenience or simply someone having a bad day. It was repeated, unnecessary disrespect toward paying customers, including children and family members who witnessed it. We came to Hawaii excited to experience its beauty, culture, and HOSPITALITY. We certainly did not expect such hostility. Management, PLEASE REVIEW THE FOOTAGE, especially Char exiting the trolley to confront us AFTER we had already walked away. While you review footage please also notice Char's failure to wear a seatbelt...

But also not recommended if you have a health condition, with restrictions. Before you arrive, you need to make a reservation on their website. It's more convenient because you can pay for the parking on there as well. When you receive your email confirmation, it will give you a once use QR code. You will get this scanned in the entrance and it will cover you for parking. NOTE: when making reservations, you will select times slots. Morning slots do fill up first, so put that into consideration if you were planning to do this hike. Right across from the visitor center they have the restrooms. These restrooms are the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen. They even have changing stations for mom's with babies. Sinks also have soap and water. The outside of the bathrooms, they have water fountains, and water dispensers for you to fill up your water bottles. Me and my sister did this hike and the time slot we got was for noon. The sun is out! I suggest you carry your sunblock with you while on the hike because you will need to reapply as you keep moving upwards. The sun is out and you will feel it. This hike is also nice because it has designated resting spots with benches in case you need to pull over get a drink and catch your breath. Somewhere towards the top, you will reach a huge flight of stairs. That's very steep, if you like a challenge, the stairs will lead you closer to the top. But if you take the left path, that's a pathway with rails. That is completely doable, for the slower hikers, like myself. And on the bright side, the left side path does come with a view. When you are all done with your hike, they have some very cute souvenirs at the visit center. Very cute hello Kitty merchandise as well, if you are a fan. ALSO!! GET A SWEET TREAT! on the far right next to the visitor center there are two food trucks parked that sell shaved ice, and Dole whips!! I had a great experience! I'm so happy I get across this hike off of my list.

As a first-time visitor to Hawaii, this experience was incredibly stressful, deeply disorganized, and poorly coordinated. Our day started at 2:00 AM for a 6:30 AM flight, only to find out the Maui airport doesn't even open until 6:00 AM. Thank goodness we had TSA PreCheck, or we would have missed our flight running to the gate. The issues only compounded once we landed: Zero Airport Guidance: The company email stated a taxi company (Charlies Taxi) would pick us up. Being completely new to the islands, we didn't know where to go. Airport staff gave us conflicting directions, and we spent a frustrating amount of time wandering around just to find the pickup zone. No Greeters or Communication: There was nobody to meet us at the airport. After calling the taxi company and waiting 15 minutes, we finally got a ride to Pearl Harbor. Left Stranded at Pearl Harbor: Once we arrived at Pearl Harbor, there was again nobody to greet us, despite a text from the driver saying he would be waiting. We waited outside for 45 minutes. I finally had to call the tour company to find out where our guide was. I only found our group because I actively approached a guide myself. Unwelcoming Attitude: We were told beforehand we could leave bags on the bus. When I asked the guide to unlock the bus for my backpack, he made me feel like I was a massive inconvenience and a bother. Rushed Experience: To top it off, we received an email during the tour telling us we had to call and arrange our own return taxi through Charlie taxi. The tour ended so abruptly and quickly that we missed the actual ending of the experience because we had catch our flight back.

He was hilarious, full of fascinating stories, and somehow managed to make every bathroom stop feel like part of the adventure. The views were jaw-dropping: Diamond Head glowing in the morning sun, waves crashing at Halona Blowhole, and those movie-perfect cliffs near Kualoa Ranch. Dirk kept us entertained between stops with island legends, trivia, and a soundtrack that could make even a restroom break feel cinematic. Leonard's malasadas? Heavenly. Macadamia nut farm snacks? Dangerous in the best way. Tanaka's garlic shrimp? Worth every bite and every burp. Turtle Beach was the crown jewel--relaxing, peaceful, and filled with lazy sea turtles living their best lives. Dirk's timing was perfect, his humor was infectious, and his love for the island made every mile memorable. I laughed, I learned, I ate too much, and I never once regretted it. If you want a full day of Oahu beauty, good vibes, and an expert guide who'll keep you smiling and on schedule, this is the tour. Mahalo, Dirk, you're the real MVP of island adventures!
