Overall I'm happy with my dogs recent stay at Linny's Kennel. I feel like my dogs were really well…read morecared for and everyone there was kind. You could tell they put love and care into each dog and get to know them, which is the most important part to me! The only bummer was the booking process. I confirmed my total cost with them twice before arriving so that we could plan financially, and then it ended up being an extra $85 once I dropped them off because of the holiday weekend ($65 for holiday pickup, $10 holiday fee per dog). I understand this logic and I'm totally willing to pay for the holiday weekend, we just felt a bit blindsided. I think it was an honest miscalculation on their part, and like I said my dogs had a great stay where they were cared for, so we would use them again!

This was my first visit. Like most doctors, dentist or any other medical appointment, I had about a…read more20-minute wait to be seen. Once in the examine, the Vet assistant asked what the reason for the visit was. I explained that we were recommended by a friend to try Animal Talk and Dr. Lucas. I mentioned that we needed the yearly shots for our dog. She asked if we had her previous medical records, and I said I have them at home and can go get them. She said she could call our previous Vet and have them faxed over. This saved me a trip back home to get the records. She went over the recommended and required shots needed and said Dr. Lucas would administer those shots. It was about 15 minutes before Dr. Lucas came in the exam room and immediately apologized for the wait. He went on to explain that sometimes different procedures took longer than expected. I told him it wasn't a problem and showed me that he took his time and didn't rush through each animal. He explained the different procedures he was about to perform and proceed to give the necessary shots. He explained different aspects of my dog and what to look out for and what to expect. I was there about an hour, from start to finish. Overall, very pleased with my first visit. I like the idea of the time he spent with my dog. I compare the time it took to going to McDonalds or going to a steak house. You will both be fed at both, but I would feel more satisfied with the steak house when I got done. Finally, the bill for all the shots and office visit was half of what I have previously paid for the same services.

My last review was pathetically short. I'd like to say more good things about the clinic…read more Since then, I've had to put a cat to sleep. The doctors were so helpful throughout the diagnosis period, which took some time. They kept my kitty overnight and took such good care of him. One of the doctors gave me his home number in case something came up outside of the office hours. Recently I brought a kitty in with a leg injury. It was a Saturday and the clinic had no openings, but they made time for him before the first appointment. The injury turned out to be a gunshot wound that fractured his bones. Yes, some jerk shot my kitty cat! I'm so glad they made time to see him. They took an x-ray, knocked him out to put a splint on and remove the shrapnel, and also did some optional tests before knocking him out (at their suggestion and my insistence) to make sure he was up to the surgery, then gave me the medicine he'll be taking for the next week. Now my guy's leg is all wrapped up in a color that works perfectly with his fur. No, he will never venture outside again. I cannot reccommend Wright City Vet Clinic highly enough.

Prior to sending my dog Connolly, I read every single review I could find. I didn't sleep a wink…read morethe night before he was dropped off and even shed a tear or two. I can now, without a shadow of a doubt, say sending him to Sorenson was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Connie has jumped out of a moving car (luckily turning into a driveway), broken a plate glass door, and threatened to rupture ear drums with his piercing demand barking to name a few. When visiting him for his coming home training, he was truly a changed dog. He was calm, attentive, and eager to show what he learned. THIS was the goal. I have trained my previous dogs, but had finally met my match. I am so confident that he has the tools now to succeed and expand his world by getting to go places and meet new people. Max was our trainer. I highly recommend him and suggest you request him. When I went for MY training for how to continue this work at home, it was clear to see he loved my dog and my dog absolutely loves him. Connolly is an Irish Setter mix and stubborn as heck, for him to adore the person who has effectively stopped him from being a little tyrant speaks volumes. Max gave us detailed instructions as well as amazing photos and updates throughout Connie's stay. It is clear that this isn't just a job for Max, dogs are his passion. He did the arduous task of training Connie and it is now up to me to reinforce all that he has learned so he doesn't lose it! So person at their wits end with the dog they love, I hope this review calms any nerves you may have about sending your dog to Sorenson for training. Ask for Max, I promise you won't regret your decision!
