My transaction with Shell Lumber & Hardware was easy and worked out great. I did not purchase any…read morelumber. I ordered some items for installation of my wood-burning stove that apparently were shipped via Fedex. My largest item was a Selkirk DSP6MA masonry adapter that was actually shipped separately from the other items. Shipping was very fast where both packages arrived the same day. I am aware of negative reviews that I estimate are likely unjustified. I also suspect that any negative reviews by others involving claims of damaged items were likely not due to mishandling on the part of Shell. I am very willing to order from Shell again. And, if I had a concern about mishandling of my items that might occur then I would contact and request Shell increase my shipping cost by going with a different carrier solely for my order. As it turns out, I see no reason to have such concern at this time.

Let me just start with saying that you will never leave Shell Lumber thinking they were rude or…read moredismissive. Shell Lumber is the perfect local business. All their staff is friendly and helpful but also knowledgeable. Which unfortunately is rare in other home improvement stores. They have most everything you'll need and if they don't have it will help you find it. They have the best selection of wood around and on top of the complimentary popcorn while you shop they also have a food truck outside to make sure you dont leave hungry. It may be a dollar or two more than some other home improvement places around but you will leave much happier and that most times is worth the cost. So stop by and give Shell Lumber a try, you won't be disappointed.

Unlike other showrooms we visited in our search for estimates, original designs, and quality materials, at Florida One we felt from day one that they were the right choice to build our kitchen. They helped us create the necessary renderings until we chose one, sparing no effort or time. Alfonso, a passionate Mexican architect whom I recommend 100%, was our point of contact from day one. He was incredibly patient with us and guided us through the entire process, always attentive to every detail with a highly professional approach. He answered every question I had, literally, 24/7--he never missed a call or message, any time, any day of the week. Alfonso was our point of contact from day one. His professionalism, his dedication to ensuring everything went according to plan, and his design expertise are reflected in the final product. Something we really appreciated was the collaboration between several teams in the kitchen's construction, each specializing in their area of expertise: the carpenter for the cabinets, the stonemason, and the electrical technician. I want to highlight the carpenter's work; I believe I was assigned one of the best, if not the best, at Florida One. His name is Jorgito, He is very dedicated and knowledgeable about carpentry and the quality of his work speaks for itself. I recommend this company to anyone looking for quality in everything, service, materials, value and installation. I knew they would exceed our expectations. Familia Ibarra-Blanco

As soon as you walk in, you see a beautiful office and three beautiful sample kitchens with some of their products. I was immediately greeted by someone and they were very helpful and proceeded to take me to a hot warehouse in the back with all of their products. Why the two star deduction since I was off to such a great start you ask? Well, for a place that is called " Total Quartz", I expected a large variety of material. Sadly, no. There one or maybe two that I liked, but not enough to purchase, which was $1100 a slab. The slabs that were $600, were very basic and plain. I was a bit disappointed because they lacked inventory. If you are looking for a basic plain quartz for a good price, then come here!! If you want something with more color and glam, save yourself the trip here. I wasn't asking for much just acknowledgment of the inconvenience and perhaps a small gesture of goodwill. Instead, they refused any compensation and continued to insist I had damaged the part myself. I expected better customer service a family owned business. And they don't give you your refund immediately - they mail a check even if I paid with a credit card. 2) my tile guy also showed me that much of the tiles were not perfectly precise - some had different dimensions than others in ce timers, which created more labor for my tile guy.
