The Muay Thai coaching is some of the best I've experienced in many years between instructors who have fought at the highest levels , won national titles and local champions etc .. facilities and equipment are clean and plentiful. Robust kids program and grappling as well. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and train here as soon as you can ! Edit : And to be clear , I'm from out of town on business , didn't know anyone here and the front staff , coaches , and members did a fantastic job making me feel welcomed and invited in a new place.

I love this place. I…read moremoved here from Denver for a job and the first thing I did was look for a Muay Thai gym recommendation, and this was the gym that was recommended. It was so important to me that I even chose my house to be close to this gym. When I got here it did not disappoint. Almost immediately I met kru Jom who has since taken my Muay Thai to the best level. To be completely honest, I move with a lot of Ego. I thought I had to be fast , strong, and impressive in order to be "good at martial arts" and kru Jom called me out immediately. "Sahira, I need you move more. Too tense" and "Sahira, I need you play more". In the 5 month I've been working with Kru Jom I've become more playful and relaxed in my motion, which is also translating into my regular life. Anger issues have noticeable decreased and I find myself applying Kru Jom's life philosophy into my healing practice as well (I'm a chiropractor). Kru Jom is my guy, and the entire gym holds excellent standards and requires high levels of discipline from me, which is the environment I thrive best in. "Train. Win. Repeat." is our motto, and it holds true both in the gym and outside of the gym. If you want friends to sweat with, play with, and get better with, this is the place for you. Oh, and we have a cold plunge and sauna as well as an entire boxing ring. The amenities are great, and the community is better.

The space is well laid out and kept clean; staff is friendly and gets to know you; and every coach knows exactly what they're doing. Boxing coaches like Jordan structure a class so you learn technique, get a good workout, and condition your body. And jiu-jitsu classes led by Ron or Mike challenge you to learn every time you visit. (They even got this girl rolling around for the sport!) This isn't a gym where you just slug your fists into a bag and get a summer body: You're going to learn real skills here to work your body and brain, and give you self defense techniques. If you've thought about trying boxing, kickboxing, or jiu-jitsu, give Urban Boxing a try - I think your first class is free, too.

Front dark staff was great at giving us a run down of what to expect in the class prior to it starting. And where all the amenities are. The shower room Was nice and spacious (although being your own towel) and I appreciated that they had tampons in the women's bathroom. The class was a nice combo of cardio, core/strength, and skills. I appreciated the constant movement around. The studio to different areas, including the occasional lap around the entire facility. Class didn't feel too big and we had enough space to do our partner work and hit the bags without hitting each other. The instructor did some individual work but it was limited to 30 seconds or less give. There were 15-20 people in the class. He was available when I had questions about what the combo we were practicing was (if I didn't get it the first two times) and made several corrections to my form along the way. All levels class was good for beginners and definitely a moderate to high intensity workout (depending on how hard you go).

The workout was incredible and the trainer (Rico) pushed everyone just hard enough so that everyone seemed to have a great time and an intense workout. I'll be back, again and again, and will encourage the rest of my family to hop in on the fun too.

I resisted until Black Friday and decided I needed to burn off some of my Thanksgiving meal. I'm so glad I did! I never wore boxing gloves until coming to Mayweather and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The first class is free and if you don't have a pair of gloves, you can buy some basic starter gloves for $25. I bought an unlimited membership immediately after my first class, which came with a heart rate strap & pair of boxing gloves which are a step up from the starter gloves. A note about the fitness classes, these are HIIT classes with a few free weight rounds and a cardio round on the skillmill or rowing machine. There's no ring or sparring involved, so there's no need to worry about contact unless you're especially clumsy (and hit yourself). Just like many people can go to an indoor cycling class without dreams to compete in the Tour de France, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is open to people of all skill levels. That said, all the instructors are seasoned and know their stuff! The facility staff and instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. There are abundant disinfectant wipes and the staff are regularly seen mopping and spraying down between and sometimes even DURING particularly intense classes.

I was a beginner when I walked in. I did not know much about boxing, and I was not entirely sure what to expect. From the start, Coach Teddy made it feel approachable without ever making it feel easy. He is knowledgeable, patient, and a clear communicator. He explains what you are doing, why it matters, and how to get better without overwhelming you. The sessions are challenging in exactly the right way. We work on conditioning, footwork, bag work, partner drills, strength, and technique. Coach Teddy keeps you focused through every round, counting down the reps and pushing you to finish strong. By the time he calls out "one more," you are usually tired, sweating, and very ready to be done -- but you also know you can get there. Over time, I have become stronger, fitter, and more confident. Just as important, training with Coach Teddy has become part of my weekly routine. I train with a friend, which helps keep us both honest, and along the way, we have built a real bond with Coach Teddy. That relationship is a big part of what makes the experience so rewarding. If you are new to boxing, looking for a different kind of workout, or hoping to find a coach who will meet you where you are while still pushing you forward, I highly recommend Teddy's Fitness Boxing.

This is the only gym in the neighborhood that makes you QUARANTINE for 14 days just to start your trial class. You are not allowed to drop in, have to make 48 hour prior appointment for a class because of covid. It's 2022. Even our government doesn't have restrictions anymore. Why are they being paranoid? Their website said I can provide a negative result to take the class faster so I told them I'm willing to provide negative test result. Then the management literally replied with a threat saying "we will ban you if you show up before 14 days." Then they sent me another email saying they won't accept me as a member and etc while I was writing this review. How do you expect to teach people martial arts when you are this paranoid, rude, and irrational? I've been to few local gyms here but this is by far the worst experience just by contacting them. For background I have tried: -OTF -Pure Barre -Solid Core -Core Power -Soul Cycle Just to name a few ....and BASH by far is the best and most FUN workout I've had in the area. The environment is also pretty supportive with everyone in different stages of their fitness journey, making the class a lot less intimidating than other classes (Barre cough cough) that I've been to. I am initially attending the classes using class pass, but probably will convert to a membership since I go to many classes! Some things to know before you go: 1. You do need hand wraps, and they sell a set for $15 that are already padded. I personally think they're worth it since you could also use them as lifting gloves and you look kind of bad a** in them. 2. You do need gloves, but you can rent a pair for just $2 a class! 3. Runners -- THIS is your place!…read more I joined MAD this summer for a month trial membership and was impressed with the support, technical and individualized coaching, variety of movements, and early results. I was starting marathon training and was initially hesitant about investing in a strength gym with scheduled classes. How could these types of workouts fit into a distance running training plan? MADabolic Arlington showed me. I cannot speak more highly of Julianne and the coaches at MADabolic Arlington. Julianne provided a clear, 20-week training plan that included MAD workouts, speed/hill workouts, long runs, and rest days. Their team helped me build full-body strength, prevent injuries, build mental discipline and resiliency (5:00 static effort, anyone?!), increase aerobic fitness, improve flexibility and range of motion, relieve stress, find value in rest/active recovery days, improve body composition (including bone density), and feel strong. I saw the results. The past few months helped me to run more than 40 minutes faster than last year's marathon time, with my fastest splits of the race in my last 5K. Without injuries. MAD class 3 days per week and running 2-3 days per week. I was a collegiate heptathlete 20 years ago and I am continually amazed what my body and mind are now capable of. I'm back! -- and post-race, I'm making more gains. Whether you are a seasoned runner or athlete, or pursuing formal strength training for the first time, MADabolic Arlington is the right place to invest in yourself and your fitness goals.
