Dr. Lewis is highly competent and shows genuine care for your health and wellness. Dr. Lewis is also technically savvy, so you can pick up your prescriptions at your pharmacy the same day. I've seen the doctor over 75 times during the years, and I've had to wait only a couple of times. Dr. Lewis is retiring in September 2026, so I will have to find a new doctor after 3 decades. I think Dr. Lewis is a model representative of Foothill Family Clinic, and the facility cares and provides great service. Don't listen to the negative reviews. They are written by people who are impatient and unnecessarily critical.

I tend to get ear infections a lot, so I end up seeing him about once every 3 months. He explains everything in ways that you understand and has a sense of humor that is refreshing at the doctor's office. A few months ago, he even stayed late for me. I had woken up on a Friday not feeling great, thought I was coming down with something. Around 11:45 am, I finally decided that maybe going to the doctor was a good idea. I called his office and they told me that he was off at noon that day, but how soon could I get there? I was in my pajamas, but got dressed as quickly as I could and rushed over there. It was about 12:20, so maybe waiting 20 minutes for me doesn't sound so crazy, but he was really pleasant about it and I appreciated his thoughtfulness, especially since if he hadn't offered to wait, I would have had to wait 3 more days until Monday to see him. The receptionist here is very very nice too, making pleasant conversation while you're checking in, which is really nice, when you think about everyone she checks in everyday. The location is pretty good, although making a left turn out when you're leaving can be very difficult.

My wife called up yesterday to make an appointment and was told because we didn't contact them within 60 days of Dr. Lee's retirement (something we were never told needed to be done in person or in written form) that we are now considered new patients and will be treated as such. My wife stated that she has to see a doctor to have her prescriptions renewed and was told because we are now new patients (again, we've been going here for over 30 years, but now we are new patients) that she would have to wait for one of the other doctors to pick her up and the wait will be extensive. She stated again that she's been a patient here for over 30 years, she's been seen by other doctors while Dr. Lee was on medical leave and that her prescription will run out before they get her in to see another doctor. She was then told that wasn't their problem and if her prescriptions ran out that that was on her not on them.....That's his exact words!!!!! He told her that's your problem not ours. That's the answer she was given after 30 years of patronage????? REALLY????? Absolutely unacceptable!!!! Now, I guess we will not only be finding a new doctor but a new medical clinic. It's truly a shame because we loved the staff at Cottonwood Family Medical Clinic and Dr. Lee for over 30 years. Guess that's over now. To the young man that handled my wife's phone call yesterday, I want you to know that at 56 years old I have never written or posted a negative review about anything, ever. My father went to see this Dr. today, told her about the infection my mom has, she replied" that is a common bug." Not true. He saw her for a fever he's had for a while. The doctor I had my appointment with was also very kind and apologized for my experience. When I was taken in the back for my appointment, there was a student who was instructed to take my vitals and then take me to an exam room. When we entered the room, there was a used hospital gown on the bench in the room, torn paper on the exam table and a tray of used supplies from someone's pelvic exam sitting next to the table. This led me to wonder if any of their supplies were sanitized and if I could even trust anyone at this practice. The office manager, Christine, is very condescending and impatient. I could hear her speaking terribly about me outside of the exam room I was in before she had even met me. She refuses constructive feedback that could be helpful. I received five reminders of my appointment. Three emails and two phone calls on the same day. Instead of realizing this is excessive, the office manager said "well I think it is nice we send out reminders." My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 PM, however, I did not see the doctor until 45 minutes after my appointment time. When I shared this, I was reprimanded multiple times and asked why I did not call since I was late to arrive. (She also accused me of being five minutes late, which was not the case). After being berated by this woman and told not to say anything to her after waiting for over a half hour, she proceeded to make me feel that my concerns were not valid (long wait, inexperienced staff, unclean room). This entire experience left me feeling terrible and dismissed. I felt unwelcome to this practice and am shocked that an office manager would speak to any patients, including brand new patients in this manner.

My family has gone to this office from elementary years through high school and we have been happy with the care here at every age. We love their informative Instagram account (see pics attached)! We have seen pediatricians as well as the licensed clinical social workers and have always felt there was a success outcome/resolution from each visit. I've been looking for a primary doctor for a while. Being from out of state I haven't really found a family physician doctor who also covers such a wide scope of practice. Dr Zhang is a certified and licensed injector as well! I love how tranquil the lobby is. Very cozy with a lot of Chinese cultural decor. Doctor Zhang was so kind and laid back. She was very easy to talk to and not judgmental at all when it came to topics of previous medication or overall health awareness. They are really great in terms of resources and knowledge. They are licensed and able to prescribe Suboxone for people who may have had previous issues or abuse from opiates.

The office staff is great for appointment reminders, billing, medical records and testing. Parking can be iffy, sometimes I have to wait on the phone to talk to an employee, and the building was a little difficult to find the first time, but overall I'm very happy with how I'm treated here.
