I had the Dwyer's Point Garage perform an oil change on my 2011 Audi Q5. One week later my oil warning light came on and I took it back to them. They examined it and said I had an oil leak of undetermined source but suspected it was leaking from the valve cover. They said it was safe to drive but I would need to add oil as needed. I took it to the Audi dealer and told them what Dwyer's Point Garage folks had said about the valve cover. They examined the engine and discovered that it was not leaking from the valve cover, the leak was because the oil filter was not installed correctly during the oil service. I went back to Dwyer's Point Garage with the documentation from Audi and requested a refund of the $130.00 they charged for the oil change and the manager there, Frank, denied any responsibility and accused the Audi technicians of deception. read more

We had a relative stay with us for a few days and her car broke down just as she was heading home. Rhode Island Towing was able to pick her up in 20 minutes and Dwyer's Point Garage fixed the issue and had her back on the road in a few hours without charging an arm and a leg. Dwyer's is a solid local service provider for rudimentary auto repair. However, they informally advertise their expertise with high-performance foreign vehicles, especially BMW. Regrettably, I decided to start using them in order to avoid what i perceived to be gouging on the part of the dealer. What I discovered is that they have a "ceiling", ie, a limit to what they can accomplish. I finally went back to the dealer after experiencing several episodes where they flat out did not execute a repair correctly or washed their hands of the ability to execute. Yes, the dealer is "expensive", although for the stuff I required of Dwyer's it wasn't cheap either. So, "expensive" is in the eye of the beholder. Bottom line: I am not a fan of dealer service, in my experience with a high-performance vehicle, it is worth the peace of mind knowing it is done correctly. I recommend Dwyer's for all the routine and regularly scheduled stuff. read more

I pulled in at 5pm with a smoking radiator. I was already wondering how I was going to get to work tomorrow. I told Frank, "I understand if it's a day or two, after all, this was unexpected." Frank said, "A day or two? I'm going to take care of this right now." He called the parts guy and within an hour, my car was repaired, the price was great, and I couldn't have been happier! Took my car there and was charged an outrageous price for labor, said it took him three hours to diagnose. I was suspicious so I did some research on youtube (wish I had done that before) took me about three mins to find out the issue (very common cause). This is unfortunate as Dwyers was suggested to me by autozone. Lesson learned for me, hopefully you don't rush to Dwyers for trusted service. They are either not good/slow workers or just a rip off. read more

So I took a leap of faith and brought my car here (for brake pads & rotors) because of the reference I got from a complete stranger! Even after I was not able to bring my car in when I originally scheduled to do so, he was still kind enough to work with me and understand/accommodate my military work schedule (my military budget too lol)! I have had over $10,000 in repairs done here to both our cars. Initially the work was OK. There were problems, but each time I returned they fixed the problems. But when I had to have the rear brakes replaced, they did it with rebuilt ones, without my knowledge or consent (illegal in RI), and after numerous complaints and adjustments/replacements ( for overheating, warped discs, bad calipers, etc.), they still make a strange noise (cause still unknown) and they are totally rusted calipers, unlike my old brakes on the front. They refuse to put the correct brakes on, and try to blame the parts supplier. They also refused to give me the details on the parts, manufacturer, etc. as required by RI law, or to break down labor costs or even provide paperwork (invoices) for warranty work, also required by law. The owner's response when I tried to discuss a solution to my failed front ball joints they had recently put on was "get the hell out of here". (They later admitted they were defective and replaced them.) So now I need to have the brakes replaced by someone else. All of this is a very brief summary of a complaint I made to the Attorney General's office. It's really too bad. We need more repair shops here. read more

12/22/2015 2002 VW JETTA flashing CEL issue issue fixed + multiple issues popped up after ive already paid and got my key back, which they didnt care about -----like another CEL code + leaking coolant + asked them to check my brake, which they never did....1 OBJECTIVE STAR EXPERIENCE Its second experience with this "place", BTW the first was even worse These guys can -make fun of you as a customer, not being local, and not having a perfect english, seriously??? -actually fix whatever is needed to be fixed in your car -CHARGE you EXTRA 50-100$ for no reason for parts( in my case it was ignition coil for 2002 vw jetta for 195.34....THE MOST expencive ive found on the market was 150...) -be NOT PROFESSIONAL, the receipt i got from them shows no signs of the particular part being installed, i wish i could post a picture of that receipt....its just NOT PROFESSIONAL to put something as "NEW WORLDPACK COIL" in the parts installed section, i even doubt that they replaced anything AT ALL....so it might be just 300$ charge for some 5 min job they did, after i drove my car for 5 min a coolant sign showed up on the dashboard, i opened the hood and wow there is a big coolant leak you cant but notice if you are no blind...and its leaking right next to the ING COIL they MIGHT HAVE REPLACED, nobody told me anything about the leak, aparently they didnt notice a acidgreen colored coolant spill under the car once the job was done -a funny moment, after i asked for receipt which will at least state the vehicle being worked on, they told me its going to be an extra 9 dollars....lol after i paid 300 already...isnt that SNEAKY??? So yeah DWYER's CIRCUS place is NO LONGER considered to be a QUALITY auto repair shop for me read more
