I immediately called the gas company and they came and shut off the gas line. It's the dead of the winter and now I have no heat. I didn't know where to begin. I checked the internet but nothing jumped out at me. I went on yelp and began reading reviews and I ran across Lawrence heating & air. I called spoke to a woman who was very pleasant and told me a tech could come out to assess the boiler to see if it was still usable. Joe came and he looked at it and said it it's a hazard. With all the rust and corrosion and not to mention whatever was on fire. He said it needed replacing. He talked to me about the options and stated I would get an email from the owner of my options. 30 mins later the email was there and everything was included. All the info I needed to know about the unit, specs, warranty, parts/tubing for replacement, price. It was a proposal. I reached out to Lawrence with my questions and he answered right away. I also stated my elderly dad lives with me and elderly need service as soon as possible. That was no problem. He sent me payment options as well. Once I accepted the proposal and date was locked in and they techs came the next day on time. Randy showed up first, then Joe & Chaly. They immediately put down floor draping and loaded all of the supplies , pipes , boiler, etc. They opened all the radiators starting at the top. All of them were pleasant and very Knowledgeable about their job. Any questions I asked Randy explained. They cleaned up behind themselves and made sure everything was put back in place. Once they were done Randy told me about my new unit and what was removed and put in. This company made the entire stressful event so much more easier, like a weight had been lifted. My house is warm and cozy thanks to everyone involved .. Great teamwork ! I would definitely recommend !!! Thank you so much to everyone that played a part in getting me back up in running !!

The pilot light of our boiler was on, but otherwise the appliance wasn't running as normal. I called and spoke with their office on Sunday afternoon, then Tom called me back just half an hour later and was able to arrange an appointment the following day. It turns out our boiler just needed a small reset, but Tom was really generous with his time and expertise and made sure to educate me about how our radiator heating systems works and how to troubleshoot issues in the future. He also alerted me to a major issue with the hot water pipe link to our water heater, which we had to urgently replace last winter. The company we used was not great- they left the old water heater in our basement and seemed a tad shady- so I wasn't at all surprised to hear that other aspects of the job were not done properly. Tom and his team were available to fix the pipe AND remove the old water heater the same day for what I considered a reasonable price. I've had enough poor experiences with maintenance companies and really feel that Flourtown Heating is a trustworthy honest business. They were all courteous, professional, and seemed like genuinely nice human beings. I will absolutely be using them again, and can't recommend them enough!

I remembered the plumber I used in the past also did HVAC so I called and Landis came out within 2 hours on a Sunday. Before he came out he gave me things to try over the phone to try to get it working and avoid an emergency service charge which I appreciated! He did have to come out anyway and he was able to fix it but I asked for a price to replace the heater and AC. I had them do the work and I'm so happy I found them.
