Yes, made in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The two big box stores across the beltline have what I consider generic furniture for a hefty price. It was refreshing to walk into Don's Home Furniture and find sofas which click off the must haves...kiln dried solid wood frames. Hand tied springs. Quality fillings. I wish I could remember the type of fabric I chose, but it's amazing, and just let Owner Blaine put permanent marker on the fabric and within a short time, it is worked out with a spray and a toothbrush. Oh yes, water..or wine..rolls tight off. Now I hope all the hair from my dog and cats will roll right off too. The sales staff do not work on commission so there is no high pressure. I asked for some follow-up information via phone on a different product and received it quickly. I'd be willing to try Rubin's again, but perhaps at the downtown Madison store next time.

I had a hard time deciding exactly what to select, but after perusing the inventory, I made up my mind. The salespeople were very friendly and helpful, and not at all pushy. The particular chaise I ordered wasn't in stock and had to be ordered from their warehouse in Madison, WI and would take approximately 8 weeks. I was disappointed to have to wait so long, but good things come to those who wait. I got my chair about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It's comfortable as well as stylish. Can a piece of furniture be sexy? Absolutely. And I just ordered a second chair.

After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.

This is not a Goodwill or St Vincent store so don't expect that quality or price range. This is the good stuff with good value for what you get. The variety of things change fairly quickly so its worth a look every couple of weeks if you have something specific in mind. Do not drop in with a piece of furniture without calling first. The owners know what sells and what doesn't so call and send pictures before going. Small quality things are generally appreciated like table top stuff or good art. Masks are required of course. Give them a shot. It's never too crowded in there and it's a big space so you can keep your distance from others.

My husband and I were searching for recliner replacements. This was probably the fourth or fifth store trip. By now to save our marriage and get furniture we like I send him off to test them for comfort since he's tall and if he finds one he likes I either veto if it's hideous or uncomfortable for my frame. Well, low and behold we actually found one here we like. It was a Lazyboy so we know the price tag ahead of time and can appreciate that as the value is there with the brand. We weren't positive we wanted the power though (at a grand for power leather each and we are getting two) so we filtered through the sale tags and see it's half off for the manual. Score! Let the clink-clink-clink of the manual reclining begin. So we asked if there were two in manual. Our sales rep had to search on the computer and discovered that they no longer carry the manual option, but can custom order it for $999. Ummmmm. No thanks. We went to the Lazyboy store instead and bought power recliners for less. However, we did end up going back and this time our visit was pretty smooth. We found an entertainment center and coffee table we liked since our set was well beyond its years. And since it was discounted and we saved money by buying the recliners elsewhere we bought it. Our pick up date was supposed to be on Monday night. It's Monday night and naturally it's not in yet...but hopefully it will be soon. It arrived in the middle of the night Monday-so we have it now and it was as lovely as pictured.

Shop around because other mattress stores offer a one-year warranty on mattresses. We called them and they said buy a mattress topper. Terrible customer service.
