I recently purchased a new home and had some pretty strict requirements for what I was looking for. Randy was more than willing to spend his time trying to help me find exactly what I wanted. He went above and beyond in making it possible for me to own exactly what I wanted. We are all busy people, and I honestly felt like Randy was more than willing to go see what ever I wanted, and made his time available on my schedule. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to match schedules, and in terms of buying a house, a schedule is a very important thing. I have purchased property in the past and used multiple Realtors now. This was by far my best overall experience. A very down to earth guy willing to work for you, and not pressure you into something that will hurt you in the future. One great thing he said to my wife and I was, "I don't want to sell you this house, because I'm never going to be able to resell it to someone 5 years from now." This is specifically a review for realtor Laura Hildebrandt Shively at this office. My family chose Laura to be our seller agent for our house on the west side of Madison based on the positive reviews online and we have been very happy with that decision. Laura is very professional and detail-oriented. Upon our first meeting, she pointed out a number of minor issues with the house that we weren't aware of, and offered a bunch of tips for decorations and furniture re-arrangement. The buyer asked for several repairs to be made as contingencies for closing. Laura took care of the repairs by arranging for contractors and setting appointments, which made it easy for us. She is super responsive. She always returned our phone calls and emails very quickly, even outside business hours. She made herself available and patiently answered each and every one of our questions. Would definitely recommend Laura as she is a fantastic real estate agent! read more

This is specifically a review for realtor Tim Krause with Timeless Realty in Appleton, WI. This was the most horrific realtor to deal with. He was not responsive and did not know what he was doing. Lisa Kortens consistently has to dig him out. Run to another realtor. Save yourself the headaches and agony and get another competent realtor. We were left homeless because of Tim Krause. He did not care. He only wanted the money from the sale of our home and left us in ruins and no home to buy. He doesn't even deserve one star. read more

This is a review for Jeff Holm. We are a young couple that looked for our very first house with Jeff. Jeff was introduced to us through a friend who highly recommended him as a realtor. Let me say Jeff did anything and everything we asked. From last minute showings to driving us to at least a minimum of 30 different houses and showings before we settled on the house we live in now. Now that we found our first home with Jeff's help we are currently using him to help look and buy a restaurant in the Madison area and we have already been to 10 different restaurants for sale in the area and he has done all his research for us and has always had our backs when it comes time to negotiate. This is a specific review of Realtor Jeff Holm. I had such an unpleasant experience with Mr. Jeff Holm prior to closing 12/31/15. I was handling closing on a 1 bedroom condo for my son who moved to Texas. There was a clause in the contract that if all personal items and furniture were not removed 2 days prior to closing we had to reduce the purchase price by a whopping $745 (I didn't know that but that is beside the fact). I had everything out 2 weeks prior, save one piece of furniture that was supposed to be removed on 12/28. Because of our 6 in. snow and ice storm the person backed out on me. I went in on 12/30 to remove it...(it took 15 min.) However when I got there the buyer and Mr. Holm (their agent) were there without my knowledge. It turns out that I found out our agent gave them permission to enter and I didn't know. They seemed to relish that the one piece of furniture was still there. Mr. Holm said to me "He signed it, you owe us $745!" with what I thought looked like a smile and smug look, and walked away. I was extremely hurt and upset. My agent tried to get him to show some goodwill, but he would not bend and blamed it on the buyer. I felt he had some rapport with the buyer and could have asked them to show a little compassion in the holiday season. Anyway, because of his attitude, statement and my hurt feelings, and the fact that I was not allowed to see the buyer at closing, I felt there was reprehensible conduct. This is a specific review for a Realtor at this First Weber Location. This realtor's name is Laura Hildebrant Shively. Laura Shively, the listed agent of the property 2 Chautauqua Trail Madison WI 53719 did not disclose the basement flood. Laura was our buyer agent too. I got a letter saying that the basement flood was not disclosed in my mailbox right after the home inspection. I found out that the insurance company issued an actual cash value of $9645.08 for water damage. Laura said it was because of sump pump failure. There are no receipts or reports to prove the basement was taken care of by professionals. There are no proofs to show the problem was due to sump pump failure. The landscape around the house was restructured in 2007. If they disclosed the basement flood, I would not enroll in this house purchasing. The reason I tried to move out my current rental house was due to basement and roof leaking, and then the house grew mold. Laura Shively stated that the siding was updated in 2006 in the flyer provided to the customer. The house got hail damage in 2006. The roof was not replaced. The siding still has tons of dents from hail damage. Laura was present while the home inspector inspected the house. We have two witnesses who can prove that Laura tried to mislead our home inspector. Even our home inspector, Harry, denied that he was threatened by Laura. The first home inspection report didn't mention that the roof got hail damage. I insisted on adding the hail damage pictures to the report and to describe the true condition. However, Harry just added a picture of one aluminum air vent with hail damage dents and mentioned cosmetic problem. After I asked again, Harry provided me a 3rd version home inspection report with the hail damage pictures. But he also declared that the buyer agent (Dual agent Laura Shively) stated that the seller had insurance inspect the roof. The insurance company made a decision to replace the siding but didn't find enough damage to warranty the roof replacement. In the email o me from Laura, she wrote "both the inspector and the insurance company have looked at the roof and said it is fine". The insurance company issued an actual cash value of $15,635.16 for the hail damage including the siding and the roof which means Laura told a lie. I HAD FOUR LICENSED ROOF COMPANIES INSPECT THE ROOF AND THEY ALL CONCLUDED THAT THE ROOF NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A lot of the shingles were missing because the shingles started to shatter after 6-7 years of hail damage. During three weeks of processing, I experienced only lies and cheating. I had to back out of the house. Please stay away from this agent and the house she represents. read more
