Lived here for three years, had roachs in my apartment for the first 3 months took me constantly emailing i pay too much to have roaches in my kitchen. Didn't unpack my kitchen until I bombed and had a manager come handle it. After that everything was fine unit I moved out. Last months of my lease I wasn't even at the apartment and they charged my utility bill double the amount. I tried talking to the manager who is supposedly only there on Mondays can't get help throughout the week. Then I called corporate for them to do nothing and just stated their meters were off i guess for over 3 years is crazy. Then they charge you $30 for trash but don't have valet. you pay them $30 to take your own trash out. Again I been there for 3 years the utility bill bill has always been $40-45 and trash use to be $5. Now im moving out and they charged $200 dollars for water, sewer and trash when I moved out in July and turned my keys in August . It is a scam. read more

I just moved in here about two weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it! The apartments are pretty much brand new with granite countertops and a lot of cabinet space! They really focus on natural light here which is great because it's in Florida! Each room has 3 huge windows so there is always a ton of light coming in! Tony and the office staff are great at what they do and they really take care of their residents like family. Also, maintenance is top quality here and they're often able to come fix an issue in 24 hours or less. Also, they're really nice guys to chat with! When you move in you get a nice bag with a bunch of goodies and a folder with a whole stack of coupons for all the local eateries and stores around here....what a nice touch! The location couldn't be better as there is a huge new Walmart, Sam's Club, and a TON of other stores 2 minutes down the road. They're also building more and more in that same shopping center. This area is so new so all the stores and shopping plazas are really nice and well kept! Lake Nona is up and coming and now is the time to get in while everything is brand new over here! Also, Dwell is much cheaper and more affordable than the property directly next door to it and honestly have nicer interiors as well! Move in here, you won't regret it! read more

My husband and I had rented a furnished apartment for four months, our experience with the staff was terrific. William, Tony, and Elisabeth were always so kind, helpful, and professional. The facilities are beautiful. The pool area is lovely; it even had a shaded structure, so you didn't have to get a sunburn during the summer. I remember the first time I used the gym I couldn't believe how thoroughly the staff was cleaning the bathrooms, water fountain, and the floors. They had no idea I could see them cleaning but after that day I took notice of how sparkling clean everything looked all the time. If I could give them more stars I would. read more

I recently left Dwell, and only left because I purchased a home. I lived in building 10200. Will the Manager Will was great, he was always on top of any issues. I remember I was on vacation and their was a small water leak, he personally called me to let me know everything was fine and it was being handled. That definitely gave me peace of mind during the remainder of my vacay. The staff overall were great, the indoor building was gorgeous and always clean. The event coordinator Sunil D. Always had the food trucks at night and made it so convenient to step out after a long day of work and grab something tasty weather it was Korean, Mexican or Brazilian with out having to go far at all. Was planning on moving here until I told my parents about my experience. I was a guest with one of my friends. We were playing basketball then one of the workers, named Teresa, started cursing at me and my friend. We're in high school by the way. She started talking to the Spanish kids in their language in what I could only understand by her tone as insulting. I'm unsure what she was mad about but all I heard was "you're all sh*t". I would expect more from a worker. Overall I really liked the apartment and my parents, I were really eager to move there until this incident. Very unprofessional worker. read more

Overall It would help if New Tenants would try following rules, regulations and consider your fellow neighbors. So I've been to these apartments about two or three times. I don't reside there but I have a friend who does. The apartments are new so there's no visible deficiencies that I can tell. They have the Typical apartment layout to me. Dwell is in a very nice and upcoming area but there are schools very close by and traffic can be intense. At least it's getting that way trust me. Anyway the apartments are nice. they have granite countertops and nice long cabinets. I'm not sure my buddies bedroom sizing but i'm thinking they have at least two bedrooms possibly three. To me I would not consider them large apartments but depending on your needs dwell may work for you. read more

What a wonderful customer experience! We came in right before close during an apartment hunt, needing to relocate quickly due to a new job. Upon entering we were met by helpful and friendly staff who were more than happy and willing to show us around the complex, regardless of the time. The staff were very knowledgable and quickly answered any questions we had. With such a wonderful experience, the Nona can definitely look forward to hearing from us soon! read more

I been living here for a few months. Overall I've been enjoying living here. Nice place, clean, and helpful staff. There is a pool however it's not temperature controlled so when it's hot the water is also hot, when it's cold the water is cold. They have a great basketball court but my son can barely play because kids and adults other than residents constantly take over the court. The staff are well aware of this and I see them walk by, but they still manage to ignore the situation. I've heard you're allowed two guest per person but either none or most of the people are residents. It would be fine if they only stayed an hour or so but there's people there for most of the day. There's also god parts. Most of the staff are very friendly. They help out a lot and always look out for their residents. I would recommend this place for the quality of the apartment not for the court. read more

I have lived here for nearly 4 years... At the beginning, Dwell was definitely the place to be - quiet, clean, residents were families, professionals, and students. It is now clear that property management is neither effective nor involved as good folks move out. Property goes through ups and downs. Very few of the policies we all sign and agree to are enforced with any consistency. Our Fitness Center is tepid, at best, especially when compared to Eagle Creek, Bainbridge, or other neighboring communities. We have a basketball court - the kids that use the court are rarely residents and leave their garbage behind. Residents have been subject to crime - we bring our concerns to management to be told "no one can ensure your safety". Management chose to paint a building less than 4 yrs old as opposed to investing in making Dwell a gated property, or installing cameras to help deter property crime, or improving amenities. Residents are growing increasingly unhappy and talking about it... Rates go up, but what has Dwell done to make this a safer community or to improve our "Luxury Apartment Living"? COULD be an amazing place, but until Management and/or ownership "listens" to the residents that LIVE here I can only see Dwell continuing to focus on occupancy as opposed to residency. At this time, I would NOT recommend Dwell Nona to anyone with children or the intention of making a "home" here. read more

Part II The additional $492.19 disputed charge was sent to me via registered letter a few weeks after we moved out because the Dwell Nona Maintenance Manager determined that the carpet was damaged by a dog and had to be replaced (as stated in an e-mail with pictures sent from Mr. S to me). I would have not disputed the charges to replace the carpet for $417.19 if the boys purposely tore up the carpet, spilled food or drinks on it, stained it or somehow deliberately damaged it. The pictures Dwell Nona sent me did not show any of these types of damages and did not warrant the carpet to be replaced in the entire unit. I called Mr. S and told him that the boys did not have a dog and that from the pictures he sent me it appeared that the carpet could have been installed incorrectly and started fraying out over time in areas where it was not tagged down properly especially in the corners of the steps (this was clearly visible in the pictures he sent me). When the boys vacuumed the steps in the corners with the suction hose of their vacuum cleaner, the vacuum was picking up the edges and fraying the carpet. I even explained to him if a dog caused the damage the wood on the baseboard would be all scratched and clawed up which it was not and clearly visible in the pictures. The fact that they did not have a dog could have been easily verified by asking neighbors and checking pet clause in the lease that did not list a dog. I discussed this issue with Mr. S a few more times without any resolution. Mr. S discussed the case with his manager from corporate and I spoke to Mrs./Ms. D (Corporate Manager) a few days later. She was very rude and nasty regarding the entire situation not willing to listen or discuss anything to arrive at any reasonable resolution. Threatening me again and stating that they are a big corporation that will send the claim to a collection agency if we do not pay the cost by the end of the week. Since I co-signed the lease for the boys (because they did not have a credit history) and was listed on the lease I did pay the disputed amount for the 3 respectful honest Medical School students because it is not worth the aggravation for me to travel from PA to FL to partake in a small claims court dispute. I believe this message on social media will do more good for future residents moving into the Lake Nona or surrounding communities. I mainly wrote my factual story to warn future and potential tenants of Dwell Nona's unethical business practices and what they may face during their stay and after moving out. There are many Luxury apartments in the Lake Nona area with managers that treat their tenants with respect and dignity. Lake Nona is an excellent community and a great place to study, live and work, make sure you do your research and select a place that fits your needs. Good luck. read more

Warning everyone! I do not recommend this residency! They will try to rob you every chance they get. Once we gave our notice we had the walk through and was told all you have to do is clean the oven from the inside and clean the debris in the drawers which we did. After 2 week pass Will calls us and tell us we owe 400 dollars becuas eof stains located in all the room which is not true we only had one stain in the living room which could be clean using professional cleaners which they already do. Then we call will and tell him have it cleaned and call us when it's time for the walk through again but he never does. So a week later he calls and say we owe another 300 on top of the 400 for the oven he said the top of the oven has stains that don't come out which is ridiculous since it is normal for the stainless steal oven to have some wear in it from usage and we lived there for 3 years what did he expect! We had issues living in the apartment and we never complained. The apartment had tiny nails coming out of the floor on every edge of the house and my son got hurt by it when we told them that their were nails they did nothing. The entrance to the kitchen was definitely not up to code and my kids always fell so I had to get a rug to cover it and they also did nothing about it and said that's how it is supposed to be. They even did the same thing to my friend that lived in the Dwell so this is a common thing for them, robbing people! Do not come to live here if you value you money and the apartments are not even that good cheaply made. I never lived in a place where nails were sticking out of the floor! read more

Within the past two months, we have seen two cars have their wheels stolen (including ours) in the complex. After speaking with the management about it when it happened to us, they simply told us that they are not responsible and we were on our own. Of course, residents should ultimately be responsible for their vehicles and property, however Dwell should at the very least make some effort to make their complex safe for their residents. It seems like they turn a blind eye to what is going on in the area and fail to adapt in order to make the community safer for their residents. With the increase in this kind of activity in and around the area, who knows what will happen next at Dwell with no gate, security cameras, or management and/or maintenance workers that actually care about our safety. This will likely not be the last we see of these crimes and look forward to moving out the day our lease ends to a community that we can feel safe in. read more

Very disorganized staff. They schedule inspections and cancel them late on the day off, not caring for all the pets,owners left all day in the bathroom per their request.They even scheduled inspection for the day after superbowl. Yeah let me not enjoy watching the superbowl and be home all day cleaning. Events are for adults,not kid friendly.Margarita cupcakes yeah let me get my kid drunk.Half the equipment at fitness ctr doesn't work.Only one dumpster at very back of community very inconvenient. With the high rents we pay we deserve valet trash.Drunk parties at pool almost every night.Staff is not friendly.Not smoke free community always finding cigarette butts.I hate it can't wait to move out.Events suck.Not a luxurious community by any means.Considering breaking the lease.Not happy here. read more

I filled an application out for a 2 bdrm at the dwell I am so shocked at the outcome and the attitude that was displayed to me after going over there with friends which I had recommended.Before applying at the dwell I explained to Lisette that I had a discharged bankruptcy on my credit report, discharged in early 2015, Lisette said to me that I would most likely have to pay an additional deposit something called "special conditions." I said no problem, so after several month of really trying to decide if this is where I want to live, my friends that I recommended to move there convinced me to fill out the application. I paid the 300.00 and did the application on line. The next day I was declined, I called in to the number given on the declined application, to find out that this development doesn't except applicants with bankruptcy, NO ONE TOLD ME THAT OR I WOULD NOT HAVE WAIST MY MONEY, the guy on the phone said that management could override that because they are the one who put it in place, I asked is there anything else that would cause me to get declined he said no that's it. so I go into the office of the development and Lissette tells me to go into the property management office, His name is William Stearns the first thing he ask me when I walk in is did she mention anything to you about bankruptcy I said no but I told her about my bk no way would I have applied if there was a clause in there about that which there isn't, or if she would have told me that I would not have applied ...he ask was it discharged and I said yes I have them right here and gave him a copy of the discharged bk, he asked which apartment was I interested in I told him the agate or the magnesian ..he said that they are privately owned and they do things different than other properties he said to give him to the end of the day and he will get back to me. Ok so I waited till 6:30 pm no call back, I call in asked the outcome of the appl and I get from one of the leasing agents give him a moment then he transfers me to Lissette who tells me that it stands the same declined, no problem enough is enough, so I asked ok when can I get my refund for the 300 I paid. she said that we did not get your 300.00 you owe us 50.00, OMG someone please tell me I am being punkd, I said look you guys have my money I am looking at my on line banking and it says that you guys got it on 2/23/2016, 300.00 she said I don't care what it says we don't have it maybe you didn't transfer it over or something, whatever you say Ms. Hopkins we don't have it, and you owe us. I am so mad at the disrespect and the attitude in this girls voice, all because I filed bankruptcy last year, so I make it there before 7PM, at about 6:52pm I arrived very upset but still reserved, I am always very laid back never will I raise my voice as I'm walking in I see Lisette dashing to the Managers office so I waited outside the glass door in waiting area for management to come out as I pull my on line banking up to show they have my funds, Property Manager William Stearns comes to me with a total different attitude then he had in the AM when I was there, said that every is the same declined and that we don't have your 300.00 I showed him my online banking and he said I don't care what that says we don't have your money check with your bank and can you give me a moment I will be right back, I guess he finally decided to check behind his employee. I'm in such a state of shock never have I experienced anything like this, so he comes back and say Oh we have your money she just didn't scroll down in the system to see it ,WOW you will get it back 30 DAYS, I said I feel the way she was speaking to me was disrespectful and rude, he talked right over it and said, is there anything else I could do for you Wow he never apologized for her actions or his, he never apologized for saying they didn't have my 300. when they did, he really didn't care how I felt, no one should be treated differently because of there circumstances a year ago , Very ugly situation Very ugly and disrespectfully handled by Management read more
