Hired them for new gutters and gutter guards. The good: I was able to get on the schedule quickly…read more The bad: the work was uneven. Some gutter guards installed correctly. Some weren't tucked in at the ends leaving room for birds to nest. They also didn't install downspouts on all sides of the house. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed the roofers. I assume this happens to women dealing with male contractors all the time. They assume you won't know whether a job is done correctly or not. I continued to get water on one side of the where a downspout was not installed. There's no proper drainage for the gutters and in heavy storms one drainpipe can't keep up. Get multiple quotes.

He was thorough as he…read morewalked around our property -quite obviously knowledgeable about work we really needed to have done. He and his crew were efficient, polite as well as arranging room for us to get in and out of the house while they worked..... And there was a lot of work they had to do. We had rotten wood to be taken out and replaced. All of our soffit & fascia along with gutters were taken down and replaced. The difference in the before & after is astounding. As a side note, we have finally found men that show up when they say they will- and do their contracted work in the same manner. Thank goodness we do not have to keep looking for people that know what they're doing..... we've found a place for one-stop shopping in Michigan. (It took us 4 years since moving in to another state to find Aaron).

When I originally called to schedule an appointment, they spent a great deal of extra time on the phone walking me through some steps of doing an initial check of my chimney and what to look out for to minimize risk of fire/CO exposure. They did not have to do this, but went way out of their way to spend this extra time with me and lend a hand. Scheduling was easy and efficient, and they use Square app to confirm, track, and enable notifications for the appointment. During the inspection/cleaning, they were very friendly, transparent, communicative, and efficient. They prepped the work area which was then spotless upon completion as if they were never even there. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I had great conversations with the two sons during the appointment, and they took extra time to answer my questions and to walk through safety and operational concerns I had. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I'll be recommending Family Chimney Sweeps to everyone going forward. Great job!
