At each step, they communicated clearly about choices (including how they would affect the price) and helped us to problem solve, even finding us a reasonably-priced, quick dry-wall installer to expedite things. Amber and Brandon are a small family run business and is part of their appeal but also provides some limitations. I hired them to paint the interior of my 3330 sf home in Coloma, Mi. I purchased and provided all Sherwin Williams paint. They are exceptionally clean and was able to do a small drywall repair before the holidays. I have a 3300 sf custom log home with lots of wood and they did a great job on sharp clean edges where paint meets pine logs and unpainted trim. Great job guys on this point! There were decent sized hiccups and issues related to drywall repair and coverage of coats. Paint application was excellent. Prep work was sub-par. Brandon and Amber please spend a few more minutes on prep on your next clients home and everything will be more smooth. Ask them to spell out their policy and scope on these items: Nailpops Vent and cold air return removal Standard work hours and hard completion dates Coverage and costs of additional coats if needed When I questioned them they said "Well we never make things perfect" which took me back for a minute as I assumed they took pride in their work? Frankly, It came down to them underbidding the job and looking for ways to save time. I wish they would have just been upfront and I would have offered to pay more. Instead there was a large punch list as I was expecting the quality of work to be consistent to their reputation. They did not come prepared with the right tools, time or equipment to close the job out on the final day. Communication is important. I am not a price shopper. I value hard work and craftsmanship and pay a premium for the talent, skill and integrity of others. I ended up doing some of basic drywall repairs and touch-up myself to bring to a professional standard and scope. They used my rare antique 1942 Wurlitzer $15,000 jukebox to play a 45 RPM record and unplugged the unit when the record skipped and caused $500 in damage to the needle, pickup arm and vintage record of Buddy Holly of which I now have to fix on my own dime. I wish they would just have told me instead of hiding it and I wouldn't even have to mention it here. Mistakes happen but honestly is important to me. Next time guys just let the customer know. Surprises are never pleasant. I paid them in full. I think they try hard and mean well hard but still have some areas to improve on as any newer business does. I wish them well and success but will not be using them again for the lack of prep work. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Amber and Brandon of Untouchable Painting are hands down some of the best people/company I have ever worked with. This was my 5th house in 8 years that I have bought and redone for my family. It is a 2nd home and not being local made this project much harder. We felt so comfortable with them from the first time we met them. Brandon and I spoke on the phone and he came out to look at our home. My husband and I both were excited to work with him. Having someone we trusted like Amber and Brandon in our home everyday while other contractors were in our house was such a weight off our shoulders. Not only were they doing a fabulous job painting the entire interior of our home (walls, trim, doors, cabinet doors, ceilings, etc) they assisted us with letting people in and accepting a delivery when necessary. They were truly a saving grace. Now back to their work: no one is more meticulous than Amber. I thought I was but she has me beat! Her skill and dedication to getting the corners and edges done just right is amazing. We had cabinets in a kitchen and three bedrooms sprayed a different color so we didn't need to replace them. Beautiful! Her and Brandon are the hardest workers who never once were in a bad mood. If something didn't go as planned they just brushed it off and moved on. In a large project like ours it was eminent. Our ceilings are perfect, our walls are perfect, our home is perfect because of Untouchable Painting. They always say nothing changes a home like a coat of paint and in our home that statement was 100% true.
