I LOOOOVE Dutch Bros Coffee! I first had their coffee in Austin and wished there was a location in Tampa. I'm so happy to see that the company is expanding to the Bay! I enjoy the variety of drinks available besides coffee: lemonades, energy drinks, tea, matcha, and shakes. Even on cold days, my favorite drink to order is a Blended Freeze. You can customize your sweetness leve, thickness of a blended drink, toppers, add-ins, and the most important to me: the sweetness level. Check the website or app for the "secret" menu. My favorite flavors are the Grasshopper (creme de menthe and dark chocolate) and the Annihilator (creamy espresso and chocolate macadamia nut). Now that the hype of the new location has died down, the lines haven't been as long as when they first opened. They still don't have advance app ordering, which I wish they would fix. I'd been hearing about Dutch Bros, so I went there when Kung Fu tea was closed and we were wanting fancy sweet drinks. The drinks are very sweet, but I will say that they are tasty, and they are reasonably priced for being so "fancy." I had an iced white chocolate mocha with peppermint foam and sprinkles, and it was only about $5. The very friendly girl taking my order saw my dog and offered up a pup cup, which my pup appreciated. They do have non-coffee, non-caffeinated drinks, if you want something for kids. There was a long double line but it moved pretty quickly, quicker than most Starbucks lines. read more

This time, I tried the new strawberry vanilla Myst and the vanilla zero sugar protein latte! The myst was OUTSTANDING! Really delicious, about 50mg of caffeine, so it energized my workout, and it tasted better than my typical Celsius. This was my first time at this location, so I asked the server about the popular favorites. After checking the menu, I decided to order a Medium Iced Cocomo. I got my order when I went to the window to pick up the order. The coffee drink was great, with just the right amount of ice. Keep going south... past Britton Plaza... past the Selmon Overpass... past the Target at the Gandy corner... just a little more-and there it is, right there on the left (east side) of the street. The first time I went (July 7): big ol' lines, but there's a system that works (follow the lane makers and you should be fine). The next day I went right back: no lines! Maybe the long waits I read about, closer to the grand opening, have started to calm down. But don't think you can wait til the (possible) line to decide on what you'll have. The drink menu is far too big, with so many options-and additions/alterations-to choose from. I had to do my homework first. I love the cups, the big straws, the signage and logos. I love the attitude, the vibes. I love all the photos on the website-and just how big the mediums are! But I'm still looking for a drink I love! I'm sure it's just me. The quality is definitely there-it's just my wacky palette. (Or maybe it was the really strong peppermint gum I had going on right before I got there.) I didn't order boba because I needed energy. It's a very small location, but you get what you need quickly. You can even order ahead on their app! I totally get the hype! I arrived around 10:30am on a weekday, and there were already 2 lines of cars formed. It wasn't quite out to the street yet. Thankfully! There was a policeman parked near the drive-thru entrance. I can only assume he is there to direct street traffic since Dutch Bros is still kind of new. The line actually was very orderly, and went rather quickly. It was my first time visiting. I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the Cocomo from the Dutch Faves and added the soft top. I loved it! The only thing I would nix next time is the soft top. I agree with Brittany. It doesn't really add anything to the drink. Maybe a little creaminess? But hey, the Cocomo flavor was spot on. The name even sounds tropical & beachy. The muffin top was also a hit. It has a ton of cranberries and orange pieces. I keep thinking of the Seinfeld episode. Elaine was right. The muffin top is the best part. The lovely broista (their term, not mine) told me to try the chocolate chip one next time. I'm all in! Do not pass this place up if you're near MacDill AFB or Gandy. I came during opening weekend. I wouldn't have but a friend wanted to go, so why not. Had to park at the Popeyes Nextdoor and walk over to the walk-up window to order.... totally didn't want to wait in either of the drive through lines - they were so backed up they were directing traffic through the church parking lot But, it was opening weekend so.... OK. Well, I ordered the golden eagle or something like that and it was a caramel-y type coffee (hot) and not really that different than any other caramel-y type coffee. My daughter & I went to Dutch Bros for the first time today. My daughter got the Picture Perfect Blended Freeze, & I got the Kicker Blended Freeze. When we first arrived there was quiet a line both for the Drive-Thru & walk up window, but we decided to go to the walk up window to place our order. The line moved fairly quickly & the server who took our order was super friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. After placing our order we only waited maybe 6 or 7 minutes before our drinks were ready. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, & we'll definitely be visiting Dutch Bros. again. While the experience overall was enjoyable and I have no complaints, I would like to make a couple suggestions. First, I liked that the staff is able to listen to music inside while doing their job, I would suggest adding a couple speakers outside so guests can listen along as well. The wait is still crazy and they still have cops there directing traffic which is great but what stinks is people don't have common sense when going through a double lane drive through that merges into one lane for the window they really need someone standing there to direct cars because it's always one lane that doesn't want to let the other merge in. Not sure why 1 lane go then the other lane go is not an easy concept to grasp. I hope that they get a better system in place for this issue because it's frustrating when you have already been waiting for 30 mins in the drive through line. Having visited Dutch Bros in TN I already knew what to expect as far as the coffee it's def amazing and I'll wait a little extra time for it due to it ALWAYS being busy.
