Still terrible. I would prefer to give this location a zero star or a negative star. It has been months since I went to the San Marcos Dutch Bros. I am not sure if they purposefully disrespect certain types of customers, if they hate me, or if I am one of the most unluckiest customers, but I get horrendous service there...still. I wanted to retry this venue again because I received a gift card from family for Dutch Bros AND I thought maybe there would be new workers and/or management that would have some minute sense of good customer service. I ordered my drinks on the app and was informed that the drinks would be ready at 9:01. I go to get the drinks at 9:05 and the drinks have not been started on. They are ready at 9:15 and the staff are once again uncaring and annoying to deal with. I try to give places and people multiple chances, but I think I am giving up on this Dutch Bros. There are so many better coffee places in San Marcos (such as On The Grind). Plus, the Dutch Bros in Kyle is the epitome of good customer service. I sat there for another several minutes before the worker looked at me and said, "Wait, what did you get again?" and only then began making my chocolate milk. When she handed me my drink, I politely mentioned that I had been in line for 30 minutes. Before I could even finish speaking, she immediately cut me off and said, "Well, there's only two workers here." I calmly explained that I understood that completely, but that working with the customer already at the window would probably help move things along more efficiently. While I was speaking, she completely ignored me. I found the interaction very disrespectful and honestly shocking, especially because I would never treat a customer that way at my own job. I understand stressful shifts happen, but basic respect and communication still matter. read more

Overpriced and over syruped. They have friendly staff and a unique rotating menu, however, they are not great quality coffee.

I frequent this location almost every weekend since it's the only Dutch in SM and a 5 minute drive away. Sure, some days are better than others but isn't that expected in any service business? Today however, BEAUTIFUL! I typically do an order ahead because my bf switches up his drink often and I'm prone to forgetting, i typically have to wait for our drinks to be made even doing so which is never a big deal to me regardless but it's like they were the fast and furious today great convo in the line, i wish i had caught her name but the young lady with the pretty self crotched hat is SO sweet (and crafty, if you see this keep going girl you're already doing so good!!!) my wait time after pulling forward was so fast i barely had time to set up my gps home (i still get lost it's fine im just a girl) I ordered a hazelnut truffle mocha, through customizations of course since it's typically a holiday drink, and this is the first time it's been absolutely perfect outside of holiday season (still always good, but never just right) 10/10 all around, see yall next weekend! read more

i come here every day and it's always sooo fun and lovely! truly the highlight of my day, & all of the workers are sooo nice and happy and make getting my rebel such a special experience. but today i went and this mean spirited lady in a pink shirt was absolutely rude and mean and wouldn't even let me finish my order & cut my sister off mid sentence. wanted to ask about the special bandana ? The coffee is always good. The wait time is hardly ever more than 5 minutes with a long line. This is the only coffee place that does not put whipped topping when I ask for no whipped topping and I immensely appreciate that. The blended freezes are so delicious. Great service. Great coffee. I visited this location on 7/17 after leaving a funeral. I was on my way to the reception and after being outside for a funeral in July, I was in need of a good cold refreshing drink. I was asked by the Broista what the plan was and I mentioned "just leaving a funeral" and when I got to the window the person at the window offered his condolences and then gave us drinks and told us to have a good day. I mentioned that I hadn't paid and he told me not to worry about it. I was so thankful and during a time of sadness I was brought to tears. This is the worst dutch bros location I've ever been to. Yes, the people are nice but the line is always over 30 minutes and they don't have people taking orders outside while you're in line. The ONE time I've seen people taking orders out side they took a couple cars orders then just went back inside when the line was almost around the building. They were moving around so slow I can't even imagine how slow the actual baristas are. Thank god there is an on the grind here bc they are always on top of it. read more

I ordered my FREE DRINK. FREE. I get there and there's literally like 10 people ahead of me in line so what do I do. I walk to the walk up window and ask if I can get my ONLINE DRINK THAT I ORDERED 15 minutes ago which was 100% already done being made. Pretty sure I saw the drink in front of my face. Apparently you're not allowed to walk up to get your drink which is understandable I GUESS but the workers were so not nice about it. Told us to go in one of their to go order spots, but those don't exist lol. So I went back up and asked where am I supposed to go. Go to the drive through is what she said like no thank you I am not waiting in a 30 minute wait for a drink that's already ready and is going to be watered down by the time I get it. I just wanted my drink bruh and they couldn't even be nice or like understanding about it. Ik they wouldn't wanna wait in that line either. they prob ended up drinking it bc I LEFT, not waiting in a line for something that's already ready. I sound like a literal karen but like NAH. Service was okay. We didn't get our drinks for 30 minutes and drinks were being served to people who got there way after us. We ordered 2 simple drinks that didn't even have caffeine; hot cocoa and a hot chai. By the time I got my drink, it wasn't even hot anymore.
