Drinks are overly sweet, too much ice. I prefer Wake the Dead in town. Parking lot is a bit tight

I was stopping here two or three times a week last year. I bragged that this was the best coffee shop in San Marcos to everyone. At some point towards the end of the year I think the service started feeling a little negative when it was never positive or super vibrant or welcoming it was just blah to start with. But it went down after that. I never had an issue with anyone personally but I did see what I thought was the manager being what I would have called rude about things and people. Short dark haired girl. The nicest employee was a white woman a little older than the rest I think was short hair she was the nicest but overall the experience isn't something I would go back for anymore although I liked their coffee I do agree the ice thing the amount that you get for what you pay is not worth it no matter how good it might taste. I feel like they should ask you how much ice you want in your cup. Anyway I haven't been in 6 months and I've moved on as it sounds most people have at this point they do describe themselves as being all inclusive and accepting of others etc but my observation was that that only included a specific group that they felt comfortable with it really does not include everyone it doesn't include everyone of every age or appearance or demeanor it just includes the ones that they feel they should include. Everything went well here. From the moment I stepped in the staff was very friendly. I ordered the "Headless Horseman" and it was so unbelievably delicious. Only thing I'd change about that is a larger cup size and that's only because I didn't want it to end! I was recommended the Frankenberry Matcha and as a person who loves to experiment with matcha, this one was perfect just the way it came. The vibe of the place was amazing! They had the most unique little items, which I haddd to get my hands on! I will definitely be back and sending all my friends and family to try it out. They don't charge extra for milk alternatives. I unfortunately had a very bad experience with the owner here. This place is called triple six SOCIAL so I thought it would be a good place to do my homework and meet people who are interested in similar things as me. I set up my laptop and stuff at a table and was getting some work done before getting a coffee, when all of a sudden a lady asks what I'm doing. I'm confused and say just getting some work done and she tells me that I'm not allowed to be here unless I buy something. I tell her that I plan on buying a coffee but she just keeps going on saying that I'm taking up space and using their WiFi. I was so uncomfortable and felt that I couldn't even get a word in. Literally one of my favorite places to get a coffee!! Their espresso is so good, I LOVE the atmosphere, and the people that work there are so sweet and friendly. The vibe is fantastic and it's clear a lot of care went into this place and every detail. The staff is always friendly. And they can bake! I have worked in bakeries and made baked goods for many years so I'm pretty critical when it comes to it. Everything I have tried is delicious. I highly recommend the spinach puffs. I always get the Matcha when I go and it used to be so good and delicious but the last couple times that I've went it has been so milky and diluted you can barely even taste the Matcha- which is crazy for how expensive it is. And if you ask for a little extra matcha because it's pure milk it's 3$ extra making it like 12$ for a medium. Really sad abt this because it used to be so good but the quality has just really gone down recently. read more

Stopped in while on our way back to New Braunfels. Cool place lots to see and look at, however coffee and chai tea were terrible. I got a iced latte with hazelnut and my boyfriend got a iced chai latte with oat milk vanilla and shot of espresso. The chai latte tasted like watered down coffee no vanilla no chai, extremely disappointing. My hazelnut latte wasn't to bad but it lacked flavor and was nothing special. These are things we get every time we go to a coffee shop so we are familiar with what we should expect. read more

This is such a wonderful coffee shop and community space. The goth theme is well done and incorporated throughout with goth themed food and drinks, furniture, decor, music, books, and gift items. I love that they have items for sale from local artisans. Their drinks are creative and taste great. The staff are helpful and welcoming. They have an interesting museum area and a theater room for movies and events. They have several cozy places to sit and chat both inside and outside. There is ample parking and they are open late. Although I live in Austin, this has become one of my favorite midway points to meet up with my San Antonio friends. read more
